Edo Tensei doesnt go away once the one who uses it dies, it goes on forever.

I know that. It was stated only 2 chapters ago. Let me rephrase that, will Itachi be able to disable it before Kabuto dies? If Itachi is close to winning, its most likely that Kabuto will kill himself before disabling it, judging from this pity party flashback.

I think that Itachi will succeed in making Kabuto release the Edo-tensei but that he will escape, though I do not know what would make him unable to just cast it again.
I mostly base this on that OVA where Naruto wakes up in Sakura's lap... , so hoping that that will come true. And since Sakura and Shikamaru are going towards where Naruto fights there's actually a chance that it might happen (Shikamaru because of the trench knives).

1. He is too full of himself and too smart to go out that way.
2. I doubt the Edo Tensei was the only trick up his sleeve.
3. Do you really think Kabuto wasted all that time training and gaining all these new abilities so he could kill himself at the first chance his back is to the wall. No way, he is probably going to go down fighting to his last breath.

He wouldn't be able to bring back all those Edo Tensei again. While yes he could cast it again, he won't have as strong an army as he does now seeing how most of the souls were either sealed or moved on on their own. And you can't bring back a soul that has moved on, only the souls stuck in Limbo. (I think.)

That plus all the ones sealed in the Demon and other means probably won't be getting those back.

That's kinda what I was trying to say. He will make Itachi kill him because he'll prefer that than being captured since that is what Itachi is trying to do. And if Itachi manages to capture/immobilize Kabuto, then he can't do anything else so maybe he'll kill himself to prevent the Itachi from disabling ET. Unless of course, him being a snake will always manage to slither his way out of it.

I think that Itachi being partially successful with his plan seems the most likely outcome. ET won't be dispelled, but it will free the remaining ET zombies from Kabuto's control and they'll be able to act under their free will. This will lead to Dan saving Tsunade, and if Muu hasn't been sealed yet, Muu will free the ET Kages and fight Madara. Knowing that fighting the ET Kages+Dan would just lead to a stalemate, Madara decides to make a run for it and seek out Tobi. This would lead to a temporary retreat for both sides.

Sorry, but what you typed wasn't quite clear enough to understand what you mean.

I don't think Kabuto is going to die. While he is a character we have known a while, he only recently has become a strong villain. it would be a waste of good potential story arc involving him and his deeds. Plus want to see how Tobi and Kabuto will back stab each other.

Same could be said about Danzo though. He was pretty nuetral until the World summit arc an then KA-BOOM. He died. So If this Happens to Kabuto, it would be sad and dissapointing, not to mention raises the question" what was the poin of developing him then" BUT it's been done before no getting around that.

Oh me too in a sense buddy. But hey, this wouldn't be the first time he dissapointed with the death of an interesting character.

If Kabuto dies, what'll happen to the Edo Tensei? The war will be over instantly once the Edo Tensei is gone so I don't think it will be disabled soon. Unless Kabuto dies while the Edo Tensei still being active.

He COULD Escape. Or Kishi will probably plan some last second Deus Ex Machina about how Edo Tensei will MAGICALLY keep active even after he's dead and Itachi supposedly cancels it.

I think individual fights are over. But Sakura should play a role, along with the rest of the Konoha 11, in Naruto's fight with Tobi.

Black Zetsu was beaten in about two panels by a Naruto clone working with Chojuro.

The only place where ET is still a factor is the Kages vs Madara. All of the others were either sealed, moved on, or broke free like Itachi. And Kishimoto is showing us the Kages are no match for immortal Madara. So something has to save them. And that can only be Itachi making Kabuto undo ET. Then Itachi disappears after telling Sasuke what he wants so he can move on toward Naruto.

Even with ET defeated, the war is far from decided. The Alliance has to be at the brink of defeat to create some tension. Tobi still is the key to everything. And Sasuke is about to receive a scroll from Suigetsu that could change everything.

Why? Incase you have forgotten Kishi has made it so that the only one that can beat an Uchiha is an Uchiha, Looking at previous Sasuke battles, Sakura would end up killing herself just so Sasuke could win without actually killing anyone. Even now that it looks like Naruto has finally caught up and surpassed Sasuke, Suigetsu found that scroll few chapters back that suggests Sasuke will be getting another power-up soon.

As MerryGOFlava I would prefer Sakura to get a battle where she has a chance of winning, there is no chance if she's against an Uchiha. Maybe the black Zetsu could be a good opponant, it can use earth to hide and Sakura can pretty much destroy the ground arround her making it difficult for black Zetsu to hide...however we don't really know what the black side can do, if he has all the same abilities as the white side or not that's not been confirmed yet.

I know, but still have her fight him.. with Byukugou and slug powers! Of course Sasuke will win, but make it so she is the 3rd strongest at the end of the series.

Well I'm never too excited about flashbacks especially if they last over four chapters but I don't think this chapter was so boring. Okay, nothing really amazing happened but I'm kinda interested to know more about Kabuto.
