I can't see any pictures ... sad.gif
"We live in a world that is so quick to convince us to ignore our feelings. Feeling stressed? Get a massage. Feeling angry? Go to the bar with your friends and blow off steam. Feeling lonely? Meet someone in cyberspace and have a conversation on the computer. Depressed? Take a pill. Anxiety? Take 2 pills. Feeling happy? Well, by George, don’t talk about that because no one likes a bragger. Same with being sad, no one likes a Debbie Downer. But, heaven FORBID, that you actually TALK about your feelings and process them in a healthy way."

Can't wait for next chapter!! --Click here to view--
I'm glad that finally we might be able to see Tsunade fight!!

On another note, I can't believe Kishi made her look like kitten. He says, she's weak, she doesn't have mokuton, she's a woman, blah blah blah. And the only come back she can think of is "Will of Fire"? How is that going to do anything to Madara?

"Will of Fire" is brought up most of the times when the new generation beats the old.
I feel like Tsunade is going down.

But I really don't want Tsunade to die sad.gif
She's gone through so much. She's lost her little brother, her lover, and just when she found somebody she can finally love, she lost him too. She's one of the most tragic characters. And now, if she goes down against a guy who killed her grandfather and looks down on her, well, that's just too sad....At least, if she's going to die, I want her to take Madara with her.

And this "will of fire", I'm sure Naruto is going to inherit it.

Yeah, I think so too... --Click here to view--
Although Oonoki has a bigger chance of dying than her.

I think this chapter was basically Kishi making a dig at his treatment of the female characters. It's likely we may be surprised next chapter at what Tsunade can really deliver. That is, if Kishi doesn't troll her. I also expect Mei to join in her rampage and they both tell the other 3 to back off 'cause this isn't just some fight for the world anymore. It's a fight with both of their prides on the line.

I can see a funny little scene going like this in the next chapter:

Tsunade: You men back off. I'll handle this. Personally.
Mei: Allow me to join in, Tsunade-sama.
Tsunade: *smirks* sure, go ahead.
Ei: No Way!!! are you two insane!!?? that's exactly what he wants!! you two are the easiest to kill out of all of us!!!
Tsunade: I SAID, BACK OFF. *glares*
Ei: *gulp*
Oonoki: *sigh* you heard the woman. Let's stand back for now.

(Tsunade and Mei attack Madara)

Oonoki: Kazekage, since you're still young, allow me to give you this one piece of advice. Don't ever make women angry. I've been on the receiving end of a woman's wrath for too many years to learn my lesson. When you absolutely piss off a woman, they can be even more terrifying than any Bijuu. So, watch and learn well.
Gaara: You don't have to tell me twice. I've learned that lesson well these past 3 years. *referring to Temari*

Thoughts on the chapter --Click here to view--
Well, this one was a pretty interesting chapter for me.

For some reason, I saw Sasuke as the kid who is complaining about something he thinks he's doing right, but in reality, he's doing it wrong.

I found Itachi's speech to be quite interesting, especially this phrase:

"Not just indications guide you on the path you walk."

Finally, even though it may seem like Tsunade is portrayed as a weak person, in reality, she's not.

Let see what the "will of fire" is:

It states that every true Konoha shinobi must love, believe, cherish and fight for the village's sake, as many previous generations had done before them. According to Hiruzen Sarutobi, this is what gives Konohagakure shinobi the strength to continue fighting against all odds, building willpower and strength of character.

So when you think about it, Madara lacks something that Tsunade has. And again, what's the philosophy in Naruto:

"When a person… has something important they want to protect… that's when they can become truly strong"

Let's see how this battle goes. I can't wait for the next chapter. smile.gif

Yaye Tsunade! --Click here to view--
Personally, I don't see Tsunade as weak here - not yet anyway! What I see is Madara being an arrogant ass and a chevaunist, and Tsunade sort of sarcastically replying to him. I foresee we will get to see an epic Tsunade next week (I mean, she is Kishi's favorite female character, so surely he would not make her lame?)
BUT - I was more excited by the Itachi / Sasuke interaction! In my opinion, this is setting the paveway to a redeemed Sasuke. Let's see how it goes!

Well... first of all I though Itachi wanted to meet with Sasuke so he could try talking to him but instead he runs into him... and keeps running away? Well that was not cool. I guess he's relying on Naruto to fix everything.
Oh and Tsunade is definitely going down...

I gotta say, I look forward to Tsunade showing Madara's arrogance up a little. I also am curious as to where Itachi is going. Is he headed after Tobi? And will Sasuke's chasing him at least delay him to buy time for Naruto and the others to stop Tobi if Itachi isn't headed there?

Things between Itachi and Sasuke are heating up. I like it.

It looks like Madara has some respect for the Senju after all, even though they were born enemies. Very interesting.

I have to say, both the Itachi/Sasuke and Madara/everyone fights are exciting me more than all of the fights that Naruto has been involved in in the past 20 or so chapters.

Sasuke really is the antihero in this. There is so much focus on his story, his development and his need to be saved that Naruto almost takes a back seat.

Naruto's story is straight forward: gain knowledge and power to rid best friend of evil. But it's Sasuke's story that is complex. He's got knowledge and power, but he's still grappling with the emotional bombshells of his youth. And he wants revenge. Sasuke's character is still developing, where Naruto's development has sort of stopped.

Anyway, chapters like this make me wonder why the manga is named Naruto. Yeah, he is the savior and all....but the plot really revolves around Sasuke.

Itachi is such an ass. You screwed him up, now just answer the poor kid's questions.

Tsunade and the will of fire.... Looks like she's been trained in Naruto's Talk no Jutsu too. laugh.gif I'm totally excited for some Tsunade fight action. But flexing your fist and spouting nonsense to Madara is a bit like stabbing a dragon with a toothpick. That's only going to make him mad. And she's still got nothing.

that talk they had was really interesting, and it does show Sasuke in a more human way, Itachi made him feel the need to justify his actions.

I'm glad Tsunade herself is getting attention, I want this battle to be epic with her, just like it was for Jairya vs Pain. I got a feelings Tsunade will die, I have had that feelings ever since she first joined the fight. but I know she will good down like a true ninja! ( if she does die..) I'm sure it will affect Naruto and Sakura greatly, she has always been there.. ;__; Tsunade-hime do your best! <3<3<3

You have to keep in mind that, whether we like it or not, Sasuke is one of the main characters. He always has been. Naruto has gotten way more screen-time than him lately, and to be frank, the majority of it has been very boring. Kishi needs to focus on the other main character influencing the story now. Don't fault him for that.

Dude whatever happened to the future generation surpasing the past generation. If you take out Naruto, and probably Shikamaru and and Chouji, the past generation would totally kick the current gen's arse, One of the main foundations of the manga seems to be forgotten, if there is something this current arc has shown is how there were some amazing ninja's in the past, The first Hokage with his ability, and then Madara, and even Gaara's father...don't care what the manga showed bt Golddust is more powerful that regular sand.

The power of the first Hokage always seems to jump another level whenever he gets mentioned, it's like those chinese whispers tales, he started off with the ability to use wood release then the power of the seperate elements came in, then the scale at which he could use them powers came in, and after a few iterations he became a super powerful man who can make trees, plants, heal himself and not even use seals.

Madara did bring up a a good point though when compared to the First Hokage, and even the Kage's beside her she does appear weak, we have the Raikage with his Strength, speed and lightning ability, Kazekage with sand release, Tsuchikage with his triple element dust release and flying ability, and then finally Mizukage with her dual bloodline, now compare this to Tsunade who has super strength and healing abilty, but no element power that we've seen so far, her super strength has been made less impressive thanks to the Raikage and his lariat and now her healing abilty has been made to look weak compared to her own grandfather. I expect Tsunade to win somehow, but damnit it pisses me off how Tsunade is made to look once again.

lol, I know. It's practically like every new generation is way more weaker than the last one. The first Hokage could practically do anything he damn well pleased, Tsunade can't even do half that stuff and Sakura is definitely weaker than Tsunade.

I've always disliked Itachi because of all the ways he helped turned Sasuke into laughing psycho boy. I think this chapter just adds to that. It's not enough that he messed up Sasuke in life, he is finding out that he can keep piling on the pain after death!

I'm starting to doubt that Sasuke was saved because Itachi loved him. More like, Itachi wanted to keep around a toy to abuse and use for amusement.

The more new information we find out about the past generation, the more certain I am that Kishimoto is planning some sort of prequel. (Maybe not a Naruto-canon-length one, but maybe a few years of mixing past stories with future epilogue stuff.) He is developing these old characters so much, and just before they die. It makes no sense. And the future generation has gotten next to zero development except for a very few.

I cannot fathom why Kishimoto's spending time introducing more character histories and development at this stage in the story unless he's planning on revisiting that past generation in a prequel.

At this point, for story cohesion, the action, drama and development should center around the cast of characters introduced at the beginning. We should be seeing each one of the 12 as coming into their own on the battlefield with flashbacks, etc. Instead, Kishimoto is continuously fleshing out the older characters, introducing history and storylines just for the sake of resolving them.

To me, it all points to prequel. (Which is good business, anyway.)

As for Tsunade, did anyone else get the feeling of foreshadowing when Mei said it was a tactic to eliminate the medic first? What a weird thing to say otherwise! Tsunade's there because she's a Kage, not a medic, so she's no more likely to be targeted than any of the rest of them, thankyouverymuch.

Yeah, I've always doubted the Madara/Itachi story. I think there's more to Itachi saving him than just brotherly love. And I think both Madara and Itachi know more about the history of the Uchiha than they let on. But lol, sometimes I think Itachi just wanted to tortue him too! After all, he earned his place in Akatsuki on his own merit. So he's pretty much a psychopath in his own right!
