is the reason why Kisame will always be one of my favorite Akaksuki members. Not only is he a badass fighter, his personality and psyche is also very interesting. I liked how he was willing to die in order to protect what he believed in, even though it was pretty naive (if not just plain wrong). I kinda feel bad for him. It may well be that he was a bit of a psychopath, but basically he just wanted to rid the world of all lies and deceit. Not just for himself, but for everyone. So in purely idealistic terms, he stands as a stark contrast to Tobi's megalomania. tongue.gif

As for next week, all I can say is, w00t Konan vs. Tobi! Can't wait! a_dance.gif

I have new found respect and admiration for his character since I see him as a tragic villain. smile.gif

Bit o' Thoughts --Click here to view--
Kisame is one of my favorite villains, so I was worried the anime team would ruin his backstory. Overall, I was pretty pleased, though there were one or two few changes I found worthy of mentioning.

First, I really liked that they expanded on his mission protecting the Mist's Cipher Corps. I thought it gave us an interesting look into his psyche. When that girl asked him out, I was like, "Augh....DANG IT!" It was sad enough in the manga, and now we have this? Seeing him actually kill her seemed a little more harsh after that.
I mentioned it last week, but I was surprised by how the animators colored Fuguki. He looked a lot more human than I was expecting. I don't know why he had chains on him though. Was it his or Kisame's jutsu, or does Fuguki just like to wear chains? fu.png
The scene where he was trying to escape looked pretty dumb. I dunno, like the animators were being lazy or something, and just had him start moving around randomly while everyone was surprised. I guess they had to point out that he bit his tongue off, but it would have looked cooler if he just woke up and broke out quickly. I guess that's a minor gripe though.

Also, I forgot about the scene with Madara. The silhouette (in both the manga and the anime) looks more like Madara than Tobi, so I wonder if that means Kisame was only reporting to Madara at the time, or if Tobi and Madara really are the same person? Or if they just have identical hairstyles tongue.gif

I don't know why, but I thought I'd post this too, since it's the only funny scene I can think of with Kisame.

R.I.P. you awesome "strangely-colored" badass. tongue.gif

pretty sweet~! --Click here to view--
it was a good episode, awesome to see it animated, I still feel bad for that girl who seemed to like Kisami T~T, and all the others of course..;_; that sucks to be one his team.
can someone explain why Naruto said he was protecting his comrades? I mean, I know he didn't see the flashback, but why in the world did he say that? did I miss something? o.o;

anyway, all in all good episode, kind of a quick ending for kisami, but he has been around for a while now, he has to meet his match someday. Gai was badass in this episode. he is such a goober most of the time.. xD can't wait to see the next episode~!(=happy.gif=)V

They would've made a good couple. shamefulcry0js.gif But He shows that he regrets living because he couldn't form any bonds due to his his cold blooded job. That shows he's a decent person. smile.gif

That really sucked. Makes you wonder what could have been.sad.gif It seems that, apart from Madara/Tobi, all the villains in Naruto fall under the "tragic villain" category. rolleyes.gif

I feel that soon Kishi will show us why they are under the tragic villain category as well.

I dont get it... Naruto is the only anime I know where prequel (Naruto) had better animation than sequel (Naruto Shippuuden). It lacks fluidity so much thats its not even funny. Of course, there are some good episodes but they are exceptions.
