Considering what exists out there, NaruNaruko is just another one of those "it gets people hot" pairings. Two Naruto's for the price of one, and then you get the joys of both genders. I know people here like NaruSakuIno, I myself like the NaruSakuSasu potential threeway, and I know out there people ship ItachixSasuke... and basically any combination of character, gender-bent or otherwise you can think of. Some fantasies don't live to social standards.
What do I think? I like Naruko, but more because it can give heterosexual pairings some lesbian flavour (NaruxFemale turns to NarukoxFemale) or homosexual pairings the straight flavour (NarutoxMale turns to NarukoxMale). I would honestly be interested in reading something where NaruNaruko is twisted in a depressing sort of way, or maybe where he creates a clone, judges her sex-appeal (for his sexy-jutsu) from an outside perspective, and then takes a moment to ponder on if thinking a girl version of him is sexy is weird/wrong/creepy/whatever and then hand-waves it off as a who-cares, it just means he's hot enough to turn himself on and calls the updated version a success, and poof. The possibilities go as far as the imagination goes, and for anyone who has dabbled even once into the M rating of fanfiction knows it is endless. |
