You know, I thought so too. But I didn't see any noticeable signs of manipulation. You would think that would be animated unmistakeably, so that the viewer could go back and make the connection.
And then later, when Danzo was eavesdropping on Sarutobi's conversation with the elders, he thinks it's a good idea to use Sasuke's eyes to control the nine-tails (or the Uchiha sharingan, can't remember exactly how he phrased it). I don't remember that being said in the manga. So is that a prequel filler that is used as foreshadowing, maybe?
I'm starting to get confused with what's in the anime and what's in the manga.
Let's just hope that Danzo did what he was supposed to do at the meeting. Otherwise we're going to have to another filler rehashing that scene to just insert Danzo's plot points! lol j/k

Sometimes, I really wonder what the anime writers are taking. They don't seem to understand the series they work on at all.
As for showing Danzou visibly affecting the Fire Lord, it wasn't shown in the manga, either. It's a very powerful doujutsu technique that he's using, it makes more sense for there to be no visible sign it's working. Ninja, remember?

Actually, I think they may expand the scene a bit for sure.
The family that couldn't be.

The anti Sakura and NS fans will always complain about her so it's to be expected. Sakura will always get flame even by the smallest things.

I don't think they are that biased on NS. Remember that they have done plenty of NS development ever since the beginning of Shippuden ep 166 was Mary suing Hinata anf giving her fan service (they could probably do the same thing to Sakura in her confession but I'm praying I'm wrong). However I think the animators could be upset with what Kishi said in the December interview about Hinata (I don't know if he knows that Pierot are NH supporters maybe he did know).
I don't know if it's true or not but I heard rumors that Period once asked Kishi to give Hinata more protagonism and he refused. Who knows they could be having a small battle, but the point is they have done plenty of NS even in the fillers.

I know they are ninja!
It's the animation team that screws it all up. Why be so heavy-handed with some kind of f-ed up foreshadowing (as in Danzo behind the door), then be overly understated in him using his jutsu to effect everyone else? The anime has proved to be anything but subtle. They are going to have to reference Danzo Kage scene again, so that the audience understands what he's doing and how it will play out. Not a whisper of suspense or foreshadowing at all.
Now they will have to do a flashback in a future episode to fill in the missing pieces of that scene instead of building up to him having ulterior motives. But to get the point across that he has another agenda in the current episode, they show him skulking around in an entirely different flashback!
I guess my problem is that they take crazy and stupid liberties with some scenes (by that I mean adding in crap that didn't happen) and other scenes they don't touch at all, to the detriment of the storyline. Boneheads.

The changing of the events was bad.
But I did like the part where Kakasi was spying on them and observing them, that oes sound like something he might of done.
