LOL...this was either the best chapter i've ever read or the worst, and because I don't want to admit I just wasted ten minutes reading Zen's internal monologue, I'm going to say the best chapter ever...maybe...lol though I can't believe it took him this long to realise this, he openly admits he loves Medaka, but never realised anything beyond that? He definitely is slow on the uptake.

Look forward to the genre shift....getting a bit bored of all the a battle manga's anyway.

Edit: I wonder if that was a still from the Anime? If so Medaka is looking good,

So if the end of this weeks manga is to be believed MB will end by the end of March.

I honestly don't know if the manga is portraying the writers frustration at writing a weekly Manga with such tight schedules or just a plot device. He's used to writing light novels with less restrictive deadlines so maybe he's tired of it and plans to end it within a few months or maybe even move to a monthly Manga.

I'm a bit thrown off track, all the talk about Monthly manga's being better than weekly manga and now how Manga's should not go on for longer than 10 volumes makes me wonder.

And really does look like it's been turned into a Love Comedy,...I take back what I said last week, it was too wierd bring back the battle manga.

Medaka Cast Announced

Some relatively unknown playing Zenkichi Anyone know how good Yuuki Ono is? and the other Being Aki Toyosaki playing Medaka. another role like Aoi in Beelzebub I always envisioned Youko Hikasa (Mio from K-on) playing, but both went to the co-host Yui instead.

What do you guys think, did you have anyone else in mind for these two roles? I'll admit I was hoping for the guy who played the lead in Gintama and Haruhi as Zen and Youka as Medaka.

I'll be happy when it goes back to Medaka and Zen, this past couple of chapters have gone over my head, I won't even claim that I even tried to understand it, I got the gist of things but found them to be it boring so just skimmed through them.

I liked 128.5 though nice backstory hope we'll see Saki again.

Wow... I just picked up on this manga last week and have been slowly catching up. Along with what you mentioned earlier harry4e, I really feel like the mangaka is in a love/hate relationship with this series right now, especially with the last few chapters showing signs of animosity towards their own creation/selected genres. They've made numerous comments through various characters about their hate of certain troupes and repeated themes in certain genres of manga while still falling prey to them. It's kind of messing with me a little, and it almost feels like Anshin'in is the mangaka's actual voice which makes me worried that eventually the ending of MB will just be a giant middle finger to readers and jump comics.

If I go the more optimistic route, believing those are just character traits to be used and that the mangaka doesn't actually feel that way and won't let their frustration with weekly print interfere with the story, it's been rough seeing Zenkichi go through what he does with Medaka, from chapter 1 til now, and though she may show signs of caring for him, she's someone who is married to her job... so while I'd like to see Zenkichi succeed and beat her, I don't believe it'd have the desired effect. I also don't think Zenkichi will beat Medaka, if for nothing other than the mangaka not wanting to follow normal shounen logic in "training/hard work will allow you to win." If Zenkichi does win, it'd be because Medaka let him which probably won't sit well for Zen and would upset me. It also feels like as of late Medaka might have been better off remaining Medaka II, the way she's acting now and her enjoyment of being alone without Zenkichi or anyone else for a few panels. Is that Anshin'in's plan, isolating Medaka and secretly evolving her to become the perfect human? I'm betting she gave Zenkichi another ability when she kissed him, even though it might have just read as that's how she sent him to the empty school room.

I'm intrigued by this manga, but I'm also worried about the author's state of mind towards it. Depending on how the next few chapters go... I may just drop it for a few months.

If you readed Kumagawa side story, you will know that the girl in the middle is the main antagonist that appeared in the special chapter.

I don't think if Zenkichi is going to beat Medaka, that it will be in strength. She's just too every evolving to be defeated that way.

It's late but boom: Chapter 133

Thoughts:
It's weird to have Medaka state that the new Prez needs to be able to do what she cannot. But isn't that not possible? If someone can do something, she will learn how to do it better... so isn't it impossible? I guess not. She does state that she's not good with financial stuff... or maybe she just doesn't want to deal with it.

Also I just realized that it's bizarre. I think this may be one of the few manga I've read where there's an entire arc dedicated to one of the protagonist's future replacement. It's kind of weird when I think about that. Like the writer is already trying to say good bye. I guess right now the pieces are just being set in place before something big happens again, the calm before the storm? I hope so.

Well I don't think a single individual can handle Medaka. I wonder if we will see more of Sukinasaki Saki? She was given a backstory in chapter 128.5, and ended as the main antagonist that went against Kumogawa and ended with neither winning.

True true. Hm... They're heading into voting for new reps, Kumogawa and Sukinasaki are sure to make appearances soon. Kumogawa as new president... I'm also really annoyed with how untouchable Ajimu seems right now. Will she get her come-uppins? Will this be a case where she's the final boss but she's one of those bosses that doesn't really care to fight when they're bored and then just gives up?
