I wonder sometimes... How can people be okay with hurting someone? How can they be so selfish and not care one bit about others emotions. I get it, our emotions are our own responsibility but how can we be responsible for our emotions when someone hurts you, real bad. Does loyalty, trust, commitment has no value these days? I feel very weak from the inside. Like a delicate person who gets hurt by every single thing and I am not liking this version of myself. It's so far from what I have ever been. All the pride has been burnt down. My self esteem and worth have taken a huge blow. How can people just easily walk you over inspite of you giving them everything you had and when they especially knew, you were a broken person before. I don't know if anyone ever understands me even. I have braved many storms, not to boast but the current one seems a bit hard to conquer. It's like, you think you've crossed it but you just keep getting back! I hate it. I hate this uncontrolled state I am in and I don't like being this prone to sensitivity. Don't people feel remorse over anything? Do they not feel anything about the pain they have caused to other person? I can't even live with myself for a good amount of time knowing I have scarred someone. How can people be so ruthless and selfish and yet feel totally justified about their actions? Does harming someone's trust and faith in them mean nothing to them? Do all the harsh times they've braved together matter no more? I wonder how can people be so selfish in their pursuit? I just wish to come out of this as a better and strong person and not become cold. I wish this gets over soon. Everything seems to be crashing down upon me. I hope things get better soon enough for me. I hope I can forgive people not because they deserve it but because I deserve healing and peace. I hope I can get over the spite, hate and revenge feelings I have inside me and become a more peaceful, even person! Thanks for your attention and time to read this :)

I don't know if this is what you wanted to hear, but the way I see things, is that we're still animals deep down. We still think and do things so we as an individual can live and live better. Our own selfish desires still outweigh our intent for good towards others.

I've always seen the human race as animals, just more intelligent animals, but animals nonetheless.

I think we're still a long way from reaching the apex of our race.
