as for Hinata honestly no real need to kill her she simply inst that relevant to the story
shes a plot device used to push the Neji Naruto conflict and used correctly she can help Naruto and Sakura grow closer together as her confession causes Naruto to be more aware of his feelings for Sakura and Sakura her feelings for Naruto.
Lastly she stands on her own leaving naruto behind and goes to become her clans lead. helping push and close the Hyuuga storyline by changing the hyuuga.

she's dying in the second chapter.
No need to kill Hinata though.
She was a good character before she was flanderized in part 2, if you actually develop her she should turn out ok
