#611047 Good K-dramas?

Posted by Pix on 23 October 2014 - 04:13 PM

Oh. My. God.

Go watch The Queen's Classroom. Now. Don't do anything else. Just watch.

Best drama I've ever watched. Hands down. Most original take on a Kdrama I've ever seen. There's even an original Japanese version.

Looking for romance? My Love From the Stars. Wild Romance. Looking for high school romance?? Hi!School Love on. Playful Kiss. Straight nasty, sickening drama? Drama High. Drama High 2.

But the best will always be The Queen's Classroom. Literally cried every episode!

Trust me. I've watched many good dramas, and many bad dramas. But these are the most fulfilling dramas I've watched! The Queen's Classroom! Now!

#599238 The Last: Naruto the Movie: Thread 1

Posted by Pix on 09 October 2014 - 02:39 PM

NO they are talking about that time when Hinata thought about Naruto when she was being captured inside the cocoon. Not that time when Hinata fell on the ground.

But how is that a "special" connection? When Naruto noticed that everybody was being trapped? Not just Hinata?

And the dream about Hinata and Naruto were in Hinata's thoughts, not Naruto's, so....

And the ground trip still is significant in my eyes. Hinata gave up on reaching Naruto while he was dying. I mean, there's no way around that. It wasn't her fault that she tripped but....

#594392 So does Sakura still want to be in a relationship with Sasuke?

Posted by Pix on 02 October 2014 - 12:14 PM

I am and it does.

Raw=Viz media andtheir habit of writing whatever the kitten they want

You really missed the point of this chapter, nothing happened in this chapter that she already didn't go through with him before....she's not suddenly going to get over him....mostly because she already did get over him romantically some time ago.

No I don't really think so.

Where in the manga does it show Sakura getting over Sasuke? If anything, throughout this entire war she's been thinking about his feelings towards her and team 7. And every time she does she's frowning.

That doesn't really seem like "getting over". Although I do believe that she has gotten over him, she still hasn't come into terms with this yet. After what Sasuke just did to her, she will.

Also, I don't trust Viz Media whatsoever. I was referring to two fan translations I found that were compared to raw's text.

#593607 Team Seven's relationship

Posted by Pix on 01 October 2014 - 01:38 PM

Sigh, oh Team Seven, what happened.

My Thoughts:

To be honest, I've always thought their reasons to bring back Sasuke were way to childish and simple. Back in Part 1, Sakura only wanted Sasuke back because him leaving the village was her first time experiencing a heartbreak, and Naruto wanted Sasuke back because he believed he had a bond with Sasuke stronger than a friendship. But....

It's always been shown that the Naruto/Sasuke dynamic has been 70:30. Naruto put in the most effort in their friendship, and Sasuke only responded back when they were on the verge of death from fighting. And when that wasn't happening, he was just being salty or competitive. But that's all their friendship really was. I like to think that Naruto really cherished Sasuke more than he should have because he was one of the first people to acknowledge his strength, and that meant a lot to him. But as for Sasuke, he never saw the relationship on that level, or maybe he did, he just never thought it was that important and it shouldn't have gotten in the way of him finding Itachi. Either way it's still not healthy.

And as for Sakura and Sasuke, I saw nothing there. I mean friendship-wise. Once again, he only showed emotion for her in-battle, but that shouldn't constitute everything. When they were together as a team, performing various tasks/missions, he barely ever acknowledged her existence. The only person doing the "acknowledging" was Sakura, because, well, she was immature and twisted her own reality.

The thing I like about Kakashi is that Kishimoto does a great job explaining his feelings, considering that 1. He's not a hard to understand character, and 2. He keeps his thoughts to himself most of the time. Because of this we very so often get panels explaining what Kakashi thinks about his students. So basically- He thought Sakura was brilliant, yet immature; He thought Naruto was embodied potential, just childish; he thought Sasuke was gifted, but twisted. Basically what everybody thought about the crew back in part 1.

Now in Part 2, the reasons of getting Sasuke back has blown out of proportions! I think the biggest flaw in this manga is that the characters don't know when to let go. Because in reality, friendships do fail. And if Sakura would have gotten over her feelings for Sasuke, and if Naruto had gotten stronger to defeat him once he knew he became a threat to the village, then it would have been more realistic. But instead Sakura ended up loving him even more (???) and Naruto daydreams of saving him, completely ignoring the fact that Sasuke has gone quite ballistic. Do the characters realize that people change over time? I doubt it. And that's the problem. None of them even interacted for 2 years! They have to "re-learn" each other all over again.

And that's my thoughts on the relationship of Team 7. The whole "because he was my friend" thing comes off as so forced to me. The had good times, but...

#593209 Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth

Posted by Pix on 01 October 2014 - 02:21 AM

To me Sasuke and romance doesn't compute outside of fanfictions. Not before he becomes a bit more 'normal' thanks to Naruto's brainwashing abilities, at least.

Unless they make a spinoff chapter with RTN Sasuke. (Which would be great)

I want to see  a flashback  of pre trauma little Sasuke trying to impress his dad and big bro. It would melt my heart. :wibble:

And of course team taka crazy hijinks.

I agree with you, and I will even go as far as to say that Sasuke probably won't pursue romance even after redemption. But we'll have to wait and see.

And I too want to see a happier Sasuke, even if it is pre-massacre. It would be like a breath of fresh air at this point.

#592698 Post POSITIVE opinions here (for those who plan on staying positive)

Posted by Pix on 30 September 2014 - 05:01 PM

To be honest I think the only reason why a lot of us are worried about NS is because we just saw another ship sink to the bottom.

But I was never worried.

I think the underlying problem is that most of us put our faith into one analysis, and then when that's proven wrong we become weak. I'm talking about Sakura being out of love with Sasuke here. I personally believe that she was over-coming Sasuke until she saw him pop up during the war- this is where she really began to start questioning how she felt for Sasuke. But, everytime she questioned how "he" felt, her eyes showed nothing but worry and sadness. Especially when he left her to die along with Kakashi. Imagine how that must have felt.

So of course Sakura still "thinks" she's in love with Sasuke, because she's never taken the time to figure out her own feelings. Also, when confessing to a person, it's very reasonable to use the term in present tense- why? Because it's more powerful. Sakura using "love" romantically in present tense was her last attempt at making Sasuke stay. If he didn't challenge Naruto, then his answer would be infered as "yes". But, of course, that didn't happen. And instead she got a nice serving of "stabbing genjutsu" with a side of "heartbreak". (Poor baby.)

What will happen now? Well many things, but the most logical are:

1. Sakura is finally, and I mean finally, going to get over her love of Sasuke. We also need to take into account of what that jutsu is going to do to her mentally. If foreshadowing accounts to anything, she's going to end up hating Sasuke after she wakes up. And then it will be Naruto's or Kakashi's job to talk her out of that. Sakura's not really the strongest person emotionally, so I highly doubt that she won't be pissed after this.

2. Narusaku will (might) happen. Naruto's promise to Sakura is absolutely important to him, and that counts. See, I've never really thought of Narusaku as a "now" couple. It's a couple that can only be successful in the future. Sakura still needs time to heal. Naruto needs to deal with higher priorities. Only once these requirements are met will Narusaku become "good" canon. They both need to figure out their feelings towards Sasuke in order for this relationship to work, and because of that chapter 693 was completely necessary. This was Sakura getting her answer. After this (unnecessary) fight is over, then the peace-making can begin.

3. Naruto will develop his feelings for a girl (and I say this because Hinata still exists). When he was talking to his father, he said he didn't have that much experience with girls. That sentence was there for this reason: he never had time to figure out his feelings! And he's absolutely right. He is inexperienced. But after Sasuke's redemption, he'll finally have his first priority out the way, which will then lead to him focusing on other aspects of his life. At this point in time, it can either be NS, NH, or NarutoxRandomGirl. But for NS's case, Naruto has to know for sure that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke romantically are to lesser extent (and I say lesser extent because I feel as though Naruto wouldn't be bothered if Sakura still loved Sasuke after being with him, sadly).  And because of that, he's going to confess. (Unless Kishimoto forgot he wrote that in which I would not be surprised...)

So basically, NS is still underdeveloped, which is why we need to have hope for the future. But as for SS, after this chapter, if they end up getting together, then it won't negate the fact that that ship has the worst underlying message about romance.

Also, Minato left this world with the impression that Sakura is Naruto's lover. And Sakura is the only romantic interest to meet his father. And it was Sakura that helped bring him back to life. It was Sakura who gave Naruto his first "female" lips. So even if NS doesn't happen, it sure did get a lot done.

I hope I cheered somebody up!

#592635 Will Sakura catch up?

Posted by Pix on 30 September 2014 - 02:50 PM

I don't believe it'll happen, and honestly, I don't want it to.

At the beginning of the war arc I was pretty upset that Sakura's powers seemed so "low" compared to Naruto's and Sasuke's. Everybody was upgrading (even Ino-Shika-Cho) except for her. But now I'm pretty content at where's she's at. She unlocked one of the strongest crafts in the naruto universe, and she's fighting along side the two strongest ninjas in the universe. I don't think there's any need for her to power-up anymore because she's already proven herself (well, to non-Sakura haters).

You don't have to be the strongest in order to be the most valuable in my eyes. And Sakura is a very valuable character.

#592619 Sakura Haruno appreciation tread.

Posted by Pix on 30 September 2014 - 02:38 PM

Oh my gosh, ooohh myyyyy...

Since I'm still "fresh meat", my words may have no meaning but...

Sakura is literally the best female character (if not best character) in Naruto for me. Hands down. No exceptions. Nuh-uh.

But I've been pretty sad when it comes to seeing the recent rise of hatred against her from shipping fans. She is life! She is love! I really wish people would stop putting a value on her in terms of shipping. She is much more than a romantic interest! When the series first started, she was at the bottom, and still very immature. But if you ask me, she's had even more development than king Naruto himself. Because now, not only can she fight up to par with Naruto and Sasuke (I may be exaggerating a little bit) but she can also battle it out with Gods. While still being a normal girl! She earned that diamond, and she earned the status of a "queen" for me. You go Sakura!!

Fangirling never felt so gooood....

#592597 Hello Everyone!

Posted by Pix on 30 September 2014 - 02:15 PM

Hey everybody!

I go by Pix, Planetpix, Miss Pix, whichever one doesn't bother me!

I hope to get along with everyone! I've gotta admit, I'm the "leecher" type, and I've been leeching around this forum for years. But since Naruto might be ending soon I thought it was best to at least try to contribute to the community before it's over.

I've been following Naruto for like, 10 years now? I loved it then and I love it now! Because the story has such a huge impact on my life, it was only plausible that my biggest otp would arise from it! I adore Narusaku so much. It's the "big 3" pairing with the most interactions throughout the entire story! Not to mention that I personally think they look good together (I mean they have that loud-colored hair thing going on) so I enjoy drawing them.

Oh! I'm an artist (or at least a wanna-be artist) and I do take requests time to time. You can always hit me up on my Tumblr page too! Just ask, and I might be able to whip something up.

Uh, that's all I have for now. Happy shipping!

(Lol at the term "Fresh Meat" though)
