Only 18 million? That's quite low when you compare it to other films, like Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F which managed to make close to 10 million here in America alone, and now it's grand total is 61 million. There's no way Boruto will hope to reach that much given it's only very limited openings here in America come October.

DBZ has a bigger fanbase than Naruto both in Japan and the West. No Naruto film would ever do better than DBZ

That's true but DB ended 20 years ago (yes it continues today). And let's be honest here 20 years is a long time, some DB fans moved on. Yet even when you take in consideration these factors it's more successful than Naruto the manga that just ended almost a year ago.

A percentage of the original fanbase did move on. How much I do not know.

I agree, the animation quality of the last is truly good. I think the reason why burito movie has lower quality than the last because it doesn't has two years of making.

Most logical explanation different teams working on different episodes. Or farming them out to other studios like studio ghibli did or still does. Not sure if they still do.

SP, like a bunch of other japanese studios, sometimes give their series for other third party smaller studios to work on to save time, maybe the one they chose this time was good and it did a better job than the main studio

You literally said it here or do you wish to change your words again? You even accused her of not being a NS fan.

You need to stop talking now because you either are denying it to save face or you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Just stop before you shoot yourself in the foot.

What Junko said was that she could be happy for it, if it was supported and done well. That is what she said, but the fact that everything just happened with little to reason just for the sake of happening means that Naruto, as a character, has becomes something different. Something she lost connection to. You know, like how all of us lost connection to the important factors of Naruto when the pairing kitten reared it's ugly head?

This is the same women who, when asked by fans on what would Naruto do for a hobby, said "Ask Sakura out on dates."

Agree. I have less and less things to say about Naruto as time goes. There is simple no point in discussing things when author sucks as kitten.

 

Tho I do wish Kishi will make more interviews. Unlike before, now they just make me laugh!

Thanks. I had a hard time finding it myself. Finally, someone backs me up on an argument.

I actually don't blame Junko for the kitten ups on Naruto. Remember in that same interview though they said that Naruto and Sakura are closer than NH and SS or any married couple overall which really makes me wonder. The way I read the interview, and I know it is hard based on text, is that the "glorifying SS" was the script answers meanwhile everything else was more real emotions. I can just tell it in the way they talk.

When they talk about how close Naruto and Sakura was it was almost like they were saying "I know, right?" Like even they are disgusted with it the ending.

Of course we also got later interviews that still don;t makes sense with Chie being "happy" with SS saying how happy they are as a couple and Kishimoto basically said "Not really. They are not really happy at all. I might make them divorce."

It's all too weird. Why does none of it make any sense?
