The final fate of Fox's new "Fantastic Four" is worse than most people expected. Many Hollywood trades are reporting a second-place finish for the Josh Trank action movie, behind a strong performing second week for "Mission Impossible Rogue Nation."

Not surprising, the movie was a real mess. I gave it a low 2 out of 5 in my review.

Can't say I'm surprised. The story in the trailer didn't Move me, Ben's "Thing" appearance just looked Awful, And well I just needed to look at Fantastic 4's cinema track record to be honest.

I hate how Fox ruins a good comic book super team. The Fantastic 4 are very iconic and need to be treated with more respect. Fox needs to give the licenses back to Marvel so Deadpool, X-men and Fantastic 4 can be in their universe but also give the Fantastic 4 the right treatment they deserve.

We just have to hope that like Sony eventually did with Spiderman, Fox will be more willing to work with Marvel in a reboot. This might actually be really good for the fans if the movie tanking in the box office could open the door to such a partnership.

But seriously? A third reboot? I think people would really be fed up with that. The only hope is for a good sequel.

Well Spiderman is getting a third reboot, and fans are actually excited about this as it will be the first time Marvel will get to work on their own franchise, and unlike the Fantastic 4 Reboots, each of the reboots have more than one movie attached to it, and were not universally panned as all the F4 Movies have been. (with the exception of Spiderman 3, that movie was just wierd.)

I personally liked the previous 2 F4 movies.....but It thought this would be a cool reboot.

The actors will be fine. The Director Josh Trank's career might be in a bit of jeopardy, though.

Wat was it that bad? I dont really expect much from superhero movies these days. tbh theyre a bit overboard and the budget and hype is too big. But theyre still..fun. Popcorn entertainment. But this isnt even watchable it seems?

I wasn't expecting it to be that bad tbh. 

Maybe now they can get Fantastic Four to MCU. If it happens I'm not sure if they will make another movie since Marvel is so packed.

I think after avenger infinity war, mcu will get reboot.

Where else can you go? Though I must admit, my friends seen not interested if it doesn't connect to MCU, which is sad because X-Men movies are pretty good on its own.
