That picture is kind of messed up. I cant really see him punching her in the face or hitting any girl in general. This just seems so out of character. He still loves her, he just hated the fact that she lied about being completely over sasuke. Even if hehated her now which everyone here knows he doesnt, he wouldnever tteat somebody like that

But, there's a world of difference in both tone and implication between this and Sakura's "hitting shtick".

For reference, try to look at Karui's interrogation of Naruto in chapter 454. First of all, when Sakura hits Naruto, it's almost always played out in a comedic or lighthearted manner. Here, the situation is not comedic or lighthearted at all. Naruto and Sakura have just learned that Sasuke has done some pretty horrible and iredeemable things and now a bunch of foreign ninjas wants them to rat him out. Second of all, whenever Sakura hits Naruto, he's always gets up almost immediately with no lasting injuries. Here, after Karui beats up him after he refuses to provide information about Sasuke, not only is he so badly injured that he needs medical attention, but he is also shown wearing bandages well into the next chapters.

It might be foolish to have this discussion again, but nonetheless that is what I feel differentiates what Sakura is doing from actual physical violence.

I don't see why people are investing their time with this. Despite the author's intentions, this is completely trolling. Naruto would never raise his hand or strike her. And if he had done that, not only his character will lose self respect, he would have tod her something like, "Screw you! Why don't you get your precious Sasuke-kun yourself!" My word, let NH shippers dream on because that's the best the could ever havebos just a dream one day Naruto will fall in love with Hinata.

There's kinda large amount of difference here. Sakura never really hit Naruto out of pure spite (most instances are for comic relief or to get him back in line). But something like this is completely out of his character. Since you argue that Naruto is victimized by Sakura, look at it this way: why doesnt he simply get out of the way? He's a damn ultra-potent ninja. He'd dodge her punches like anything. And even after she hits him, he doesnt even seem to mind. He just brushes himself up and keeps on with his day. Never even once has he complained afterwards.

Well the way they see it Naruto was rejecting her, but It was more like he was rejecting her statement of her not feeling anything for Sasuke anymore. The way she said it was pretty sudden and out of the blue so of course he'd react like that cause he wants them to be the way they use to be, and he was also assuming Sakura was holding on to her love for Sasuke all that time (not that it's not true in a sense).....That Obsession makes him so blind sometimes.

on offense, but you tend to get upset over slap-stick way too easy...that was NOT a slap-stick punch in that offesive fan drawing...that would be like Naruto TRULY trying to hurt her, Sakura has never truly tried to hurt Naruto...

they always protect each other! it's one of the main reasons I love this pairing in the first place..

So physical abuse is a taste of her own medicine, I think not.
Sakura is a portrayer of Tsundere, and comic relief. When things get to serious, the mangaka ''relieves'' the seriousness a bit by adding some humor to lighten things up, such as he did with the latest Kurama chapter with the Jinchuriki joking about Naruto and Sasukes 'kiss.'

However which is displayed in that picture, it is physical abuse. Which Sakura is not prone to giving.

Type A (alias Type Tsun or harsh): These Tsundere have tsuntsun as their default mood. It takes something special to trigger their deredere side. The intensity of the tsuntsun can range from "I must glare and fight my way through life" (Louise of Zero No Tsukaima) to grumpy pessimism (Kagami of Lucky Star). It's about which part of the tsundere personality is the public face and which the hidden. If the Tsundere is The Rival, she is more likely to be Type A. Helping a rival out is usually accompanied by a line like "Don't get me wrong, I'm not doing this for you."

Type A can overlap with a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, but usually not. The moods of a Tsundere tend to switch in reaction to the actions of select people or adverse scenarios; the deredere side usually only comes out when someone has acted in a way to trigger it. A Jerk with a Heart of Gold is jerkish in general regardless of whether the other person is mean or nice, and shows their Hidden Heart of Gold only when the situation warrants, regardless of how the other person had been acting. Male characters in particular should be considered for Jerk with a Heart of Gold status, as arguably because of Double Standards, men are generally that instead of tsundere, although the kuudere subtype is more equally split in gender. Oranyan is sometimes used to refer to a male tsundere character - incorrectly since it means the complete opposite.

And B,

Type B (alias Type Dere or sweet): These Tsundere have deredere as their default mood. They are sweet, kind and generous, but just happen to have a hidden violent side as well. In this case, temper is almost always triggered by someone or something else, usually a Love Interest. Either they have Belligerent Sexual Tension, or are an idiot, or are an Accidental Pervert, or just has no idea how to handle feelings of love and attraction.

Type B should not be confused with a Yandere. If a Type B Tsundere were really convinced that their Love Interest didn't want them, they would revert back to the deredere side and probably enter an I Want My Beloved to Be Happy phase.

So in order for her to get a 'taste of her own medicine' as you say, he would need to have extremely OOC comic relief put into his character to end up acting Type A / TypeB to her.

If something like that was made out of Hinata's confession, they would have raised hell! Anyways it would've been impossible because Naruto was in the middle of a fight with Pain...
