#505128 Does Sakura still view Sasuke as a friend?

Posted by Dalton.T.R on 24 November 2013 - 06:50 AM

Okay, it has been a while since I last looked at the manga, or even bothered to catch up. Honestly I've lost interest in Naruto, but I have to finish it since I've come this far. The last time I read a manga chapter was 634, so I'm pretty far behind. I just don't have the time to get caught up right now. Have I mentioned I hate college?

But based off what I know so far... Will Sakura ever view Sasuke as a friend again? After all the crimes he committed, after all the times he hurt her and more importantly to her... All the times he hurt Naruto. Sakura has grown very defensive over Naruto throughout the series, and it makes me laugh how she hated him at first, and now they're arguably best friends...if not more.

If Sasuke actually becomes good again, will Sakura forgive him for all he has done? Or will she keep her distance and avoid him as much as possible and let Naruto just be himself around Sasuke? I honestly can't see her acting like nothing ever happened and ignore Sasuke's betrayal.

But like I said, I'm not caught up with the manga and have no idea what's going on right now. Sasuke could be dead, back in the village, or with Karin now for all I know. But I figured I would ask anway.

If team 7 reunites prepare for NS vs SS guys =/

I don't think there's really much to worry about anymore. Recently we've been seeing signs from Sakura that she has moved on but doesn't know how to accept it. There might be a few times where she feels a little confused, but if Naruto were to face Sakura while standing next to Sasuke and say, "Okay, Sakura. It's time to choose." There's no doubt in my mind she'll pick Naruto. So far there hasn't been a clear reason why she wouldn't. Even in part 1 she was thinking highly of Naruto. She was one of the first to believe in him and his goals of becoming hokage. Especially during the Chunin exams when everyone else, including Hinata, thought he couldn't beat Kiba. Sakura and Kakashi...maybe Lee as well supported him from the start.

I think Sakura was just blinded by her fangirlism...and yes that's a word now...

I personally think that if Naruto had started off as just an average person and not the town clown he was, Sakura might have had her eyes on him as well. Maybe a number of other girls. Who knows?

I just can't see SS happening at this point. After EVERYTHING Naruto and Sakura have done for each other. If Sasuke pulls a double-crosser, as most of us expect, I can see Sakura hating Sasuke from that point on. Maybe not hating him, but she'd definitely avoid him to avoid getting into any kind of fight. That would have to have an impact on her. Almost losing Naruto after Sasuke stabs his sword through his stomach will be enough for her to make her choice.

If Naruto is lying on the edge of a river knocking on death's door, she'll probably do something we never saw coming. Whether it be taking his last breath with a kiss, or sacrificing half of her life to bring him back, she'll do something.

In my personal opinion...SS is dead. Buried with a tombstone over its resting place.

If Sasuke were to return to the village, I don't think he and Sakura will talk much. Sakura might forgive him for what he has done to both her and Naruto, but I don;t think she'll forgive him entirely. I think deep down she'll be biting her lower lip every time she sees him.

But that's all just my opinion.

#495600 NH Parallel to LS

I think that were it not for fillers and the studio being big Hinata fanboys, NH wouldn't be any where near as big as it is now, and MAYBE Hinata wouldn't be liked that well either. But NH is really only big in the U.S.A

A Japanese student at my college said NH is a crack pairing to her. Could that be how a good percentage of Japanese feel as well?

Personally, I would hate an open ending in Naruto, as far as pairings go anyway.

Why put all that development for NaruSaku?

Why have Sakura grow more fond of Naruto?

Why give them almost as strong a bond that Naruto and Sasuke had?

Why have Kushina say find a girl like me?

Why have chapter 631?

And so on? There is too much leading up to NS for the manga to be open ended.

I know, its even more bothersome when your ship either dies (they die , literally :argh: ) or the story just ends with an open ending . Kishi has laid out a lot of material to make an open ending . Lets hope we see Naruto and Sakura kissing :sleepy: :hehehe: .

Hopefully something happens because otherwise there won't be a friggen end to this pairing war!

#495415 What are the best NH arguments you've come across?

Posted by Dalton.T.R on 21 September 2013 - 07:41 PM

I'd be careful if I were you, bro. I was banned for posting a few things like this and the Kage saw it as me 'bashing' the NaruHina fans. If I've read correctly, you're a former NH fan yourself, so wouldn't you know what they say?

But you're newish here, so they might 'pardon' you for now. Just be a little more careful from now on. I think this thread should probably be closed before we get a mob of NH fans coming in here defending themselves.

I never liked her character even when i wasnt a shipper, i disliked her character concept, i dont know why she has this popularity, she doesnt have any appeal.

But even since when i wasnt a shipper i never found a chemistry on Naruto and Hinata, there's no chemistry on them they simply dont match up or compliment each other.

As a writer, I have to say I dislike (that's putting in nicely) characters like Hinata no matter who they are. I'm not speaking for all writers of course, but when a writer of any kind makes up a character, they usually want the best for them (except the villains who can go and die in a fire).

For me, writing a character like Hinata would be a waste of my time. She'd be a 'writer's block character' if anything. What's the point in making a character if they never get development? Hinata got development in a recent chapter, yes, but it didn't last long at all: "Naruto's hand is...so big and strong." I mean seriously? After one of the most powerful speeches in the manga we're going back to this?

I'm not trying to bash her character or anything, but any time she takes one step forward in character development, she takes two steps back some point later on.

People say Sakura's useless. Okay, let's see here...name one thing she hasn't done for him. She was going to raise her hand during the test, she stood up for him against Sasuke...TWICE I should probably add. All in all, she was willing to make him hate her for the rest of her life just so she could ease some of the pain he was suffering from. Not only that, she has healed several people and can handle herself.

Hinata CANNOT compare to that. All she really did was practically commit suicide to save Naruto. That speech she gave in 615...completely out of the blue, and completely forced. Naruto should have been used to death by that point. He should have learned that there are things he can't change, especially during a war.

You know what I find amusing?

Even in real life, a boy and a girl who fight like Naruto and Sakura usually end up together anyway  :zaru:

The thing with the NH fans... They just don't know how to accept facts from the story, even when the story is practically screaming something in their faces. This is what happens when the studio has too much power and makes a...well...I don't want to say crappy, but that's the only word that comes to mind. Anyway, Hinata has the biggest fanbase for a secondary character out of any other side character in any other series. And for what? What has she done that could make her have such a large fanbase?

Breast size? If that were the case, then Tsunade would be overrated.

Looks? I'll admit that she's not bad looking for a character, but there are plenty of other characters that are better looking than her.

The only thing that comes to my mind is filler episodes. Okay, I don't mind if they make a few characters come out of their shells a little in filler episodes, but they really went too far with Hinata in several cases. Practically ANYTHING useful she's done was in a filler episode. If a character hardly talks or does anything special in the manga, then don't make them so over powered in the anime! I think we can all agree that Hinata would be nowhere near as popular as she is now if Filler episodes didn't exist.

Some of them I have to wonder if they even have a life. A few years back a NH fan bashed a good friend of mine who was in an accident and said he hoped she died because I supported NS. That's pretty cold for just a pairing war.

After getting bashed like crazy on Youtube over a comment I left six months ago, I find a lot of posts here to be quite...refreshing. I have to wonder where a lot of these NH fans come up with a lot of their BS. Do they just wake up in the morning and go 'Oh, yeah, I can say that to turn down those stupid NS supporters.' It's just unbelievable With what they come up with sometimes  :glare:

I think I repeated this a long time ago why the fandom hate Sakura. Not just because Naruto loves her its because she's the heroine, because Kishi is fond of her and most importantly because the fandom knows its going to be NS in the end. It's better to deny and type of logic been shown in the development and the parallels with Kishi's manga and just focus one's hatred on the lead female the girl Naruto will always love. Its the fact that they know Naruto will never love Hinata and show extreme high loyalty towards her like he does with Sakura, the truth hurts.

That may be part of it. I've found people that were more neutral towards her. They didn't like her because she's not that great of a lead female, which let's admit that this is somewhat true. Before Road to Ninja we knew very little about her past, parents, what she did at home and so on.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sakura and her character, but she doesn't have that great of a back story, which is CRUCIAL for a lead character of any story. Romance, action, horror or whatever. A lead character HAS to have a back ground. Maybe not perfect;y detailed, but at least name his/her parents, hobbies and so on.

Another thing I've noticed is that people don't like her because she has something most other characters in Naruto don't. A personality that just about anybody can relate to. They see the negative side of Sakura's character. (These are words coming from that 'TwilightTX72 guy [or whatever his name is on youtube])

That's just my thoughts on the matter, but I also agree that people don't like her because she's in the way of NaruHina.
