Shinachiku has been getting into lots of trouble at school lately and got an F in the following two classes: History and Shop. His academy teacher decides to call a parent / teacher conference and both Naruto and Sakura have been called to attend. In your eyes, how does this play out?

Probably similiar to what they showed Boruto's to be, except with Naruto there too, though I can't see Naruto being called and making this easily. 

 

But if he was there, he'd be pretty serious with him, maybe even hard on him, then Sakura would probably explain where Naruto is coming from, and vice-versa with Naruto.

 

This begs the question on why Shinichiku is getting in trouble and got an F in those two classes in particular. Skipping to save people? Or are we free to make all these details up?

 

Almost forgot. The short-haired jackass version of Naruto seen in the The Last and Boruto does not exist. This is pre-retcon Naruto and pre-retcon Sakura. As to why Shinichiku is getting those Fs, lets just say there's no good reason.

If we are talking about the playful Naruto and how often it's the silly-one/responsible-one dinamic has been represented within Naruto and Sakura, then I would say Naruto would try not to be harsh on him.

 

I imagine him doingthese faces to Sakura or the teacher:

 

 

 

 

 

And Sakura scolding both of them, because his son is a lot like Naruto when he was a kid.

It would depend how early Naruto became a father.

 

I did imagine a light-hearted Naruto at first, but then thought considering how he acts when he is older, that it didn't fit. So if Boruto was younger/Naruto was younger, maybe PreHokage even, might fit. My thoughts.

Naruto will be satisfied if the kid is doing his best and encourage him not to give up and Sakura will guve him private lessons and try to see where the problem lies.

That's a viable thought regarding Sakura's response. But almost always Failing like this isn't doing your best, so I don't see Naruto being satisfied.

From OP it seems like he's dealing with something personal. So it all depends. Shina isn't the lazy type either.

Btw what subject is shop??

I assumed workshop, like wood crafting, so one of those classes you can pick as an option, based on interest. But I've never gone to school in the U.S. so I'm not 100% sure either. 

I see I had something similar in my school called arts and crafts.

Perhaps Shinachiku will normally promise his parents and teacher that he will improve his level.

 

Let us not forget that Shinachiku is the son of Naruto and they do not give up and change the idea and look of people to them.

Shinachiku is a grade B student.

 

Long ago on tumblr when presented with this idea, a lot of people suggested sometimes Shina ends up with bad grades because he wastes time doing things he's not supposed to be doing (studying slugs, sleeping in class, playing with his sibs) instead of studying. This puts him in between his super studious grade A mother and his always failing father. It's not that Shinachiku is stupid, he's just one of the kids that means to study, but gets distracted,

 

Naruto, our version of Naruto, would probably try to defend Shina from Sakura's rather. But even Naruto suggests Shina spends more time on his school work before fun. As Shina gets older, this is less of a problem and he maintains grades of B

Personally I can see naruto trying to be the fun dad trying to get shina to have more fun than he should, before Sakura becomes the strick mother and has to discipline both shina and naruto
