Best part of the whole chapter. I know it's irrational but my little NS heart still skipped a beat.

It would be hilarious if, before this is over, Naruto confronted Sasuke and said, "I let Sakura-chan go... I didn't fight for her... I pretended I never loved her... ruined my whole life so the two of you could be together -- and this is how you treated her?"

Sigh.  It's bad when a fan's imagination is better than the author's.

I'm a little embarrassed to ask help for this, but I'm having trouble getting access to forums/fanfiction that require you to be 18+. I read the Rules forum and in order to gain access to fanfiction with mature content it says: " You can confirm your age by going into 'Account Info' in the Library menu then clicking on 'Edit Personal Information' and selecting 'Yes' on the Age of Consent statement." .... The problem is that I don't know where the "Library menu" is in order to complete those steps.

If I'm not mistaken, the forum-based library is not accessible at the present time.  I remember Smiter announcing that the library software was no longer compatible with the new forum software, and the library would be offline until he could find new software to house it.

Some news about France.

The last got 50000 entries after 2 weeks. They are playing it again for a third week.

So I guess the flop is not that terrible... meh... =/

Doesn't necessarily mean people like it.  People are often drawn to terrible movies as well, just to see how terrible it is for themselves.  

That's what happened with Fifty Shades of Gray. Horrible film, universally panned, but it made money just from the "train wreck" factor.

I'm not saying that's the case in France, but it could be.  It just doesn't make logical sense that a large sector of the global population -- regardless of their fandom bias -- could possibly be satisfied with the saccharine, nonsensical, non sequitur load of crap that The Last serves up.

Then again, France is known for its inexplicable fascination with Jerry Lewis......  

Perhaps when we're bored with "kitten" and "kittening" we could replace them with "scarf" and "knitting."    

No way, if you really want to be evil, replace everything with "Naruto-kun", and then watch everyone lose it XD

Wow, that would be evil.  Complete with the maddening stutter, "N-n-n-naruto-kun..."

So Salad activates the Sharigan out of love....but what the hell is she going to do when she learns just who her father really is.

Probably love and accept him unconditionally like her mother always has.  Otherwise, according to Kishimoto, she would risk being a bad person.

Ugh.  It's all so stupid.

From my perspective I would hope it's Matsuri.  It would give credence to those of us who have shipped her with Gaara in our own fan fiction.

But after everything that has happened with the Naruto manga, I no longer trust or expect anything associated with the franchise to make sense or be a pleasant surprise.

It could end up being a new character.  It could be Hanabi, for all we know, just to give Hinata (and therefore Naruto) additional relevance.  They wouldn't want to miss a chance to shove Hinata in our faces.

It will be interesting to see if Sarada actually unlockes the Sharingan, as she'll be the first Uchiha female shown with the doujutsu.

One of the many things that bugs me about this next gen story is that, once again, the Uchiha kid is going to get the lion's share of the spotlight.  And not just because of the supposed mysteries that surround the bloodline and its capabilities. 

If it turns out that Sarada is really Karin and Sasuke's child, there will be the Uchiha + Uzumaki bloodline combination for Kishimoto to harp on -- to the near-exclusion of all else.

Not to mention the boilerplate melodrama of it all.

I think Boruto is going to end up second class like his father -- that is unless Hinata fans like him enough to pull him from marginal relevance like they did his mother.

As Jerry Seinfeld would say, "I wouldn't put anything past anybody."

The ending was the fake part! 

And for that alone Kishimoto deserves One Thousand Years of Death.

On second thought, I'm not sure that's long enough for him to figure out what he did wrong....

Ah, damn. My money was on you or tricksie making the change. Either way, it's hilarious XD

Thankfully, Smiter hasn't got so sick of us -- or Kishimoto's failures, for that matter -- that he's told us to go kitten ourselves yet.   

Since playing defensive is not illegal, it's not a problem to win with defensive approach.

Meh. I'm not so sure about that. It took the final volume of Naruto a month to make half of what the latest volume of One Piece did in a week. The movie didn't really do as well as they wanted, hell, even in the west it kinda tanked from what NS4L said...

Aren't we saying the same thing?  That it's losing its popularity?

Sure.  As we all know, it requires a great deal of power, intelligence, skill, and concentration to have big breasts.  I bet her training bra came with a Mensa membership.

And Hinata may have been retconned to have some kind of special eye power, but it doesn't change the fact that when it counted most on the battlefield she tripped and fell.  Tripped and fell.

So:

A top-heavy girl who is inept despite the advantages of a prestigious family, pure blood, and an ocular power she did nothing to acquire....

or

A girl with a natural figure who worked very hard to acquire a power that "anyone" can get but only one other person ever has, and used that power to help save the world....
