Summary by myanimelist:
Lies are forbidden and love is doubly forbidden. In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don't have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can't seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he's below average. But within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?
First, I want to clear up one misconception. The main character isn't GOING TO fall in love, he already likes a classmate of his since childhood. That is the conflict of the story. He likes a girl but is assigned a future wife already. I just thought to make a topic of this since it is one of my top 2 non shonen or shonen-esque manga series. the other is Citrus (Saburouta) It is a digital manga series released by a manga magazine app called Manga box. The chapter are only 4 to 11 pages long at least so it WILL be snail paced lol. But I was was drawn in from the relationship development/progression between two main characters as they are fiances. And the typical idiot plot of love triangles aside (one party gets more blatant favouritism over the other) I found it a refreshing read, anyways if anyone is interested, try it out and tell me what you think
