Balian landed near the pile of bodies that were his adventure party and overheard Murs' comment.

"And your father smelt of elderberries." He removed his lance from its strap and placed a gemstone from his pack in a socket near the hilt of the lance's blade. "Here's some light." The gem began to glow, acting as a torch. "First thing's first... Regroup and keep moving."

Skadi landed easily and silently on her feet, and blinked. Staring with wide eyes at the now well-lit room. "Shit, I certainly wasn't expecting this."

She paused, glancing from where she fell, wondering if Julien would try the door, or follow.

"... Anyway, I guess now is the time to warn the rest of you about the zombies! This has got to have woken 'em up.."

Hearing noises, Twill carefully put the blueprints back in the tube and strapped it to her belt. Drawing her bow, she strung an arrow as a precaution. There was grumbling, but as she turned the corner she found the others had followed her down.

"You guys," she said, surprised, and lowered her bow. She was surprised, but relieved, to see them. Even Murs, with all of his grumbling.

"Look at this" She unraveled the blueprint for them to see. "There are a lot of books here too, on flying ships. There really might be one down here after all." And then she blinked, realizing what Skadi had just said. "Did you say zombies?"

"Ooh, zombies. What kind?" Balian smirked a bit, screwing the bottom end of his lance to shorten it to a manageable length in a tight spot such as a catacomb. "This is such a handy feature." He glanced at the dark tunnels.

Becoming serious Zerva turned towards Skadi.

"Please tell me your joking? There cant really be zombies here can there be?" He asked, rubbing the newly formed bruise that was put on his face from falling down the chute.

He turned to Twill, "Thank the gods you're ok!" he said smiling.

[Muffins?]

Murs walked over to Twill and grabbed another one of the lanterns laying around the cluttered area, he quickly lit it with his dying match and turned back as soon as Skadi arrived.

"Zombies huh? My favorite variation of the undead." He then swung his lantern around searching the room for any sort of treasure, or anything of value really. He saw small lockbox on the ground behind a sack of long rotted fruit and bent down. He pulled his tools from his breast pocket and easily picked the lock. He pulled out an old looking key and pocketed before the others noticed.

"This is what I'm talking about." he grinned as he pulled out a handful of rings each with a different color that seemed to dimly glow. He dropped them all into the bag securely fastened to his belt and pulled the drawstring closing it tightly.

[Yoko]

"All kinds of zombies! Watch out for the glowing ones, they... Uh."

A pause. Followed by an innocent smile.

"They know a bit of magic. Ice, mostly."

"Jeez, it's just zombies. Fire'll usually do the trick." He swapped out his gemstone for a red one. His lance's light dimmed and the blade ignited. "Well, that should help a bit." He examined the red gem closely. "Hrm....it's not fully charged, so I'll have to make each hit count."

Just then, he felt a foreboding sense of danger, he glanced back to the dark tunnel when groans started emanating from the darkness. "Ready your weapons kids? I can hear 'em coming."

"God dammit, just when you think you get a break." Zerva said moving in front of the group.

Pulling his scythe off his back a flicked his finger's once more his scythe started emitting a sickly green color.

"It might not help much but the corrosive liquid on this scythe will burn through pretty much anything." He said getting into his fighting stance.

[Muffins?]

Murs pulled his long dagger from the sheathe on his belt and snapped his fingers.

"This may help guys, it's a sharp piece of metal." He held it in front of him as he would hold Excalibur. 'All these fancy magic tricks' he grumbled in his head before he finally turned his attention to the advancing enemies.

"Hopefully they don't smell."

"All right, here's what we're gonna do. Anyone who knows fire magic, toss some fireballs in that tunnel. Everyone else, kill anything that comes into view." He got into his own readying stance, "Burn, baby, burn."

"Yo boss dont'cha think your getting a little bit to into this?" Asked Zerva with a smirk on his face.

Zerva looked back at the tunnel, "Flame burst!" he yelled sending a wave a fire through the tunnel.

"Damn. There still coming." He yelled to the group.

"Whatchu' talking 'bout, boy? I'm trying to keep you alive. Take THIS!" He thrusted his lance, sending a fiery lance through the tunnel. He laughed before his gem fizzled and snuffed. "Huh...thought it'd last longer." He looked at his Kain, scratching his head.

Taking out an arrow, she strung her bow. Concentrating on her magic, she infused it in her arrow, compressing it tighter and tighter within the wood. When it glowed faintly, she pulled the string back, waiting for a good moment.

A large number of zombies congregated together towards the left. The arrow released, entering the eye socket of a zombie in the center and zombie exploded in a green fire, taking out the other six nearby. Quickly, she strung another arrow, infused it, and let it fly.

Skadi wrinkles her nose, readying two slightly curved, intricate daggers with black blades. "Oh, they smell. Worse, now that they're burning..."

She looked at the possible army of the undead and thought that maybe, she isn't as prepared as she should be. She throws a knife into one of the zombies' head, which promptly explodes. "Oh, I love enchanted weapons.."

The thief glares at where she fell from, knowing Julien was still there.

Taking a deep breath she shouts, "Julien! Get your richkid ass down here!"

Zerva jumped into a group of zombies swinging his scythe at the three in front of him as he cut there bodies in half he watched them sizzle in front of him.

Cutting the next three in half he noticed he was pinned against a corner. "kitten this was a bad idea." He yelled at himself.

Cutting the two normal zombies heads off he noticed a faint glowing zombie coming at him fast. A huge piece of ice flew straight at Zerva from where the glowing was.

As he tried to dodge, the ice hit his head knocking him out cold.

"Yeah, ALRIGHT! I'm comin'..." he grumbles something about getting dirty.."Just got it cleaned..." mumble mumble..

Julien takes a deep breath and prepares to slide into "Oblivion" and crawls into the tight space and makes his way to the hole and jumps down.

He hits the floor with a solid thud shaking up the ground under his feet. The nearby fighting doesn't bother him much, as he stands up and dusts himself off.

"F-ing dirt and zombies...undead..." never mind that he landed in an office filled with books, scrolls, and other possible clues as to where he was..

[Muffins?]

Murs pulled his shirt up over his nose trying to reduce the burning rotten flesh smell.

"For once I agree with you" He gagged trying to focus on the zombies. He let the ranged folks do their job not foolish enough to rush in, as one neared him he swiftly planted a strong kick onto its knee. The zombie fell over with a sickening crack in its knee, he lunged forward and brought his dagger into the zombies head making sure it was dead. He pulled it out slicing another zombies hamstring before bringing his arm back in full swing lobbing off the head of the zombie. He quickly hopped back to avoid the third zombie that was near him. He reached into one of the small sacks on his belt and pulled out a handful of an ignitable dust and flung it. He then chucked the lantern he had previously been using and the zombies face and watched as he exploded into flames.

"Oh god, can someone please cast some sort of air freshener spell."

For some reason, all this carnage awoke something in him. Long dormant by the tediousness of normal life, Balian's blood blazed with battle lust like the flames around him and he began to laugh as he slashed at the zombie. "Hahahaha! Damn, this reminds me of my youth!" 'Minus the depressing parts,' he thought somberly amidst his rage. Kain seemed to respond to his emotions as the gem re-ignited brighter than ever. "Hahahaha! Come 'ere zombies! Whoa!" He backed away as one of them suddenly shot out a stream of ice.

Twill had just released another arrow when she turned to find Zerva unconscious on the ground.

"Zerva!" she yelled, shaking him, but found he didn't respond. Looking up, she saw some zombies nearing, and quickly fired an arrow into their midst. Tucking her hands under his arms, she tried to pull him so he was in less danger, but found he was too heavy. Looking around, she saw someone nearby.

"Murs!" she yelled, "Give me a hand!"
