It's time the only main character of the Konoha 11, outside of Team 7, got his own discussion thread.
In the beginning, he was easily one of the most entertaining characters of the group, and got very good development throughout the series. However, as time went on (this is my opinion, agree with it, or disagree, I don't care which), he has slowly become too perfect, his plans have gone flawlessly, and he has hogged the spotlight away from the other members of the Konoha 11. If Shikamaru wants to avoid being the next "creator's pet", like Sasuke, he has to show some more weaknesses, and share screentime with the other members.

Switch Scene to Fukasku’s Hut:

(Fukasku and Shima discusses Naruto)

“I say he’s ready, he’s even better in the Sage Arts, than little Jiraiya was,” said Fukaskku. “The boy lacks experience. Sure he has talent, but he lacks the years of smarts. That is where little Jiraiya shined in, and you know it,” said Shima.

“Crazy ol woman, we are supposed to be honoring little Jiriaya’s own wishes, and he left everything to that boy, to the child of prophecy,” said Fukasku.

(Naruto walks in)

“Woah, what’s all the yelling about,” asked Naruto. “Its nothing. So tell me boy. How you feel about returning to Konoha,” asked Fukasku. “I think I’m ready. I’m ready to avenge pervy sage. I never met my father, but I can tell you that if I could have one, he’d be the one I’d call dad.

(Flash backs of Naruto and Jiraiya sharing an ice cream)

That’s one reason. Another reason is because of Tsunade. I can’t let that bastard get away with removing such an important person from the village. I’ve trained my butt off these past weeks, failure is not an option,” said Naruto.

(Shima closes her eyes and smiles) “What are you waiting for, call the communication toad back,” said Shima. “I almost forgot, I’m surprised Tsunade did not give us any feedback on the situation. I hope everything is going well,” said Fukasku.

(He makes a handseal and summons the slaughtered Toad. Naruto, Fukasku, and Shima are all shocked)

“What. He’s,” said Naruto. “Hell’s going on back at Konoha,” said Shima. “Naruto, we are heading to Konoha, Now,” yelled Fukasku. (Naruto and Fukasku rush outside)

“The village might not be safe. My bet, that its Pain,” said Fukasku. “Now he’s attacking the village. We have to go now,” yelled Naruto. “We’ll use your shadow clone as reconnaissance. It will be with me. We’ll consult the code breakers and investigation sectors. You will enter the village via Gamabunta. That should allow your shadow clone and me to slip in unnoticed. Be prepared. Soon as you enter the village, Pain will be on you in an instant. As for as I can tell, you have surpassed Jiraiya. I believe in you,” said Fukasku.

Switch scene to Konoha:

(Shinobi from all across the village are battling Konan and the rest of the Pains. Holding them off from Tsunade’s office)

Switch Scene to Kakashi: (He is on the ground. Demon Pain prepares to fire off his arm into Kakashi)

“Looks like I have no choice,” said Kakashi. (He activates Mangekyou Sharingan, but cancels it immediately, as he hears a crash and looks into the distance. He sees a flash back of Minato standing on Gamabunta, facing off against the Kyuubi. Immediately he snaps back to reality, and notices that its Naruto on top of the Toad Boss)

“So, he’s finally here,” said God. (Close up on all of the Pain’s eyes) “He’s ours,” said Demon. (They leave Kakashi alone)

(Flash back of Minato saving Kakashi from rock shinobi)

“He’s just like you after all,” said Kakashi.

(Everyone notices Gamabunta and Naruto)

Switch Scene to Code breakers: (Fukasku and Naruto’s shadow clone arrives in the code breakers room)

“Naruto, Fukasku, you’re back,” said Shiho. “Wait patiently. We almost have it figured out,” said Shizune. “I’ll be able to hold him off until then,” said Naruto.

As far as I see it, being a free-willed ET ninja seems to be massively advantageous to Madara than being a living breathing ninja.
Madara already knew of the ET ritual, so it was well within his abilities to teach that to Obito.
Is it possible that Madara wanted to be brought back by the rinnengan techniques because otherwise there was no way that he could become the 10 tails jinchurichi?
Perhaps ET ninjas can not change - and will forever remain at the condition that they were brought back at. Therefore, this would stop him being able to become the host to the 10 tails. Therefore, he would not have the ability for his IT technique.
This means that Madara is entirely in the palm of Obito's hand, even though he is much more powerful.

Now that Tobi has been unmasked, and there is officially another living Uchiha besides Sasuke, will Orochimaru continue to focus all his hopes on dreams on Sasuke?

From what Kabuto said during his fight with Itachi and Sasuke, it would seem that Orochimaru was interested in becoming the next So6P. Wouldn't Obito's body be far more tempting to Orochimaru, since Obito is an Uchiha who already has Hashirama's cells (another thing Orochimaru was interested in) and a Rinnegan on top of it all?

Now we all know that it was Obito who helped Itachi massacre the Uchihas. But what could be his reason?

1. So he could recruit Itachi?
I don't think this would make sense because the Uchihas are starting to rebel against Konoha. And with a little persuasion and a little acting the he's Madara, he could recruit all of them. And the whole Uchiha clan is definitely stronger than a single Itachi.

2. To steal their sharingan?
Doesn't make sense also. As I have said in number 1, it's probably easy to recruit those Uchihas at that time and sharingan eyes in an Uchiha body with an Uchiha mind that is rebellious against Konoha is much much better than eyes alone.

3. To prove that he is Madara and he wanted revenge on the Uchihas?
Nah. It wasn't revealed that Madara is "alive" until the Itachi and Sasuke fight.

4. To convince Itachi that he is Madara?
Why would he need to do that?

5. To force Sasuke's strength growth?
Doesn't make sense.

So what do you think was his reason for this action?
