Not sure if this belongs in Naruto General or Konoha Theatre or perhaps someone might have posted this already. But I was going around on Youtube(Procrastinating while writing a college paper) when I stumbled onto this gem. Apparently someone on Youtube posted the entire Naruto Live Action play:

 

 

Just a couple of things:

 

1. Sakura's actress is just stunning, I think I'm in love

 

2. What happened to the Chunin exams?

 

3. What happened to the promise of a lifetime?

 

4. Since when did Hinata, Ino, and Shino participate in the Sasuke retrieval arc?

 

5. This is supposed to be combat?

 

Enjoy. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the hospital. Every time I see Naruto perform his shadow clone dance I bust a gut and I'm almost out of guts.

Tbh I think the actors are the best part. I still say it's bad, but it's one of those cases where it's so bad it's good. The actors (save for Sasuke's imo) take everything so seriously that's it's so dumb it's hilarious. Reminds of the Ember Island players from Avatar.

 

It's cringeworthy and yet I've already watched it three times

Tbh I think the actors are the best part. I still say it's bad, but it's one of those cases where it's so bad it's good. The actors (save for Sasuke's imo) take everything so seriously that's it's so dumb it's hilarious. Reminds of the Ember Island players from Avatar.

At least it's better than the last. Then again Mickey's clubhouse is better than the last and I hate that show.

It's better than the Last only because it's live action. The combat is hilariously awful, save for the Naruto and Sasuke rasengan/chidori clash. Plus they omit several arcs of part 1 but that's par for the course at this point. 

 

It's a damn good comedy though

I actually prefer this voice, he sounds more mature in my opinion and while Junko always does a good job, you can still hear the female inflections in her voice.

 

And yes Sakura's live action actress is a dime. Too bad for you that I already claimed her

it feels weird because they're physically much older compared to the naruto characters >_<

but the cosplays are so great

Yes and no. There are a couple songs but there's not really enough to call it a musical. The theme song at the end is pretty good though and Naruto's shadow clone song is hilarious. Sakura's song is kawaii and Sasuke's is kinda meh.

The only live action naruto post the last is naruto musical.

You're right then, but I'm pretty sure there are only three total songs in the play.

 

Btw, the credits song is Chasing the light by Flow. It's pretty damn good imo.

No huge ones but there are a couple small moments here and there. Like the scene where Naruto pranks Kakashi. Sakura gets mad at him at first and chases him down. But when she gets within punching distance they instead high five.

 

A lot of things are cut out too. The chunin exams for one, Naruto fighting Gaara to protect Sakura (in the play he fights to protect Sasuke), and apparently they needed to give Shino, Kiba, and Hinata of all people singular fighting scenes. Kiba does a fang over fang, Shino bugs people, and Hinata uses Byakugan hand farts to blow back random Sound ninja.

 

Meanwhile Tenten, Neji, Rock Lee, and Might guy remain woefully absent.

Ummm.... Just wondering, is this a common thing in Japan? Making live action stage productions out of popular anime/manga? Like, is there a FullMetal Alchemist play or a something like that, and I've just somehow missed that whole live-action side of anime/manga culture? 

 

Or is this more like Disney on Ice is here? An extra way to tour around, show some highlights of the series and squeeze a little more money from a younger audience?

I care for Team Gai. I am probably one of the biggest fans of Rock Lee, Neji and Ten Ten.

I like them too, but only Lee's ending was acceptable. The others were kind of depressing.
