- Sakura realizing her feelings for Nardo (like the GUTSY NINJA NOVEL)
- make sasuke go blind
- Make him receive his trial and his punishment like a man
- Naruto would've became a wanderer to search answers for the end of the cycle of hatred (kind of the new sage of six paths)
- NH resolution before he goes away, with him rejecting hinata
-NS resolution,Naruto confessing Sakura saying she would wait for him
- Naruto going his way to spread peace


Then the epilogue
- Some years passed
- new Hokage announced, kakashi steps down, naruto looking more mature steps in
- He talks about what happened in his travels and gives his answer to the cycle of hatred
- Naruto's typical smile
-Party with his friends, NS interaction, team 7 taking a new photo
- Small Resolution on Taka with Sasuke talking about them
- No new generation crap

Naruto rejecting Hinata and confessing to Sakura...now THAT was the resolution we were supposed to receive! Kishimoto didn't have the balls to do it.
I agree--no new generation crap! No one gives a kitten about the kids especially those NH/SS demon spawns. The spin off is such a shameless and obvious ploy for money...

Well, when you try to leave as much and as long as possible canon to try and make NaruSaku at least passable:

 

1.) After the Land of Iron affair you'd need a confrontation between Naruto and Sakura. Naruto in his anger does let his love for her slip while Sakura admits that she loves both Naruto and Sasuke and doesn't know what to think anymore.

 

2.) The love letter scene with that kumo-nin. All you'd have to change is adding Naruto to the brooding-sakura part (where she thinks of Sasuke, right before Zetsu-Neji makes his entrance).

 

3.) When Sasuke declares his grand plan for "Revolution" and Sakura spills her guts. Change it into Sakura's view of Sasuke completely shattered, that he truly isn't the man she loved anymore. Sasuke declares that he never was that person in the first place.

 

4.) After the Naruto-Sasuke fight. Sakura forgives Sasuke in the end but it will be a long time until she can trust Sasuke to even guard her back on missions.

 

There. A passable NaruSaku ending. I think that was too easy or to obvious for Kishi to make it so (probably because you'd need something like 1.) and Kishi is too awkward for romance).

Another one is Sakura thanking Naruto for bringing Sasuke back saying "I love him" right before she kisses Naruto instead  .  Then she says "I don't know what I would have done without him" only to kiss Naruto again.  She finds herself passionately making out with Naruto instead of the man she thought she "loved".  The man who was always there for her, the man who always made her days and challenges a little bit brighter, the man who encouraged her to be stronger and love herself for how she was instead of how she should be, the man who she called his name when eveything she loved was destroyed, was Naruto.

Another one is Sakura thanking Naruto for bringing Sasuke back saying "I love him" right before she kisses Naruto instead  .  Then she says "I don't know what I would have done without him" only to kiss Naruto again.  She finds herself passionately making out with Naruto instead of the man she thought she "loved".  The man who was always there for her, the man who always made her days and challenges a little bit brighter, the man who encouraged her to be stronger and love herself for how she was instead of how she should be, the man who she called his name when eveything she loved was destroyed, was Naruto.

Excellent ending! I too wanted Sakura to throw her arms around Naruto and kiss him passionately at the end. Sasuke would just be there like 'wtf?' barf in a bag or walk away.
Oh and we'd get a proper confession from Naruto.
