Pierot are milking the series. It doesn't matter how horrible the fillers are as long as they get money from the fans who are stupid enough to watch the anime then everything's fine.
I think pierrot just can't stand the idea of drawing sakura kissing their naruto kun.
They could have put this filler arc at any moments but now... talk about a coincidence.
