Exactly. I sense no hint of romance in one piece at all. Just the love for adventure and friendship. Nothing wrong with shipping LuNa though.

in pokemom i don't think that it is sure that ash X any one among the 4 girls travelled with him. It can be change like before . In frist serise i thought ashXmisty. Then it changed 2 times.

Oda said the reason was and I quote "romance will RUIN the lighthearted, adventurous feel to it" And though I am a fan of romance I agree because All these SHIPPING WARS are giving me headache at times in Naruto. SO MUCH that I sometimes just wish NS was more direct with it self. But that doesn't change the fact that Naruto is my all time favorite series. Along with Fullmetal Alchemist. Both the best in my opinion.

The only possible romance I can imagine in One Piece is Luffy randomly telling Nami to have a kid with him. She of course would make a face like this followed immediately by her beating him senseless for saying something so careless. Then after Luffy recovers I guess she'll just nonchalantly say: ok, fine.

I'm not saying it has to be like that but something among those lines so that it's not overly romantic and kept lighthearted. Think about it, Roger had about the same amount of stupidity as Luffy and he ended up having a kid.

Well the bottom line is you either start to imagine it or accept the fact that the Monkey line ends with Luffy. I'm not saying there should be romance, it's better if not, but I don't want to see Luffy go about his life without at least having a kid. The Monkey D. family is awesome and it would be a pity that Luffy would be the last of them.

Luffy's only love is food as you both know. At most Oda will probably pair him up at the ending with no on panel interaction cause he doesn't want romantic tension.
