I'm going to be defending Hinata here yes she's a stalker but the last time she stalked Naruto was back at part 1 when he was about to leave with Jiraiya. She's no longer a stalker but she's still shy, at least before 437. Once she confessed to Naruto she finally broke through her timid shell becoming a whole new person. With this done Kishi no longer needs her, her character development is done there's nothting more for her to do in the story, she finally told Naruto her feelings now she can finally move on with her life because she knew from the beginning that Naruto loves Sakura and he will never accept her feelings. She never did much for Naruto or she never made the effort in approaching him to get to know him better she only watched him from afar.
N/H lacks development but the western public supports the pairings they feel sorry for Hinata, they pity her and that's why they believe she deserves to be with Naruto. They see her as cute, sweet, kind and she's the one who can have him. I will leave the reason they want Naruto to be with her is because of her boobs.

That's true that Hinata has finally broken out of her shell, but still NH fans fail to realize this, shoot a lot of NH were mad because Naruto outright ignored Hinata when he passed her going to get some ramen.

I guess Kishi wanted her to fill space back at 488.
Uzumakikage@ Hinata was hidding behind the fence to hide from Naruto but she wasn't watching him, not that I recalled.

The same reason why there are lots of Edward (Twilight) Fangirls (And god forbid the fanboys...) coz they simply can relate to her, plain and simple. Simply put, they want the shy girl to get the guy coz they want it to happen to themselves.

^My reaction to a lot of NaruHina reasons for why it's "totally canon". I don't care what other people may ship, or what pairing they find cute, but it does bug me to find the most ridiculous reasons being held as irrefutable proof for a pairing.
