Hi - I'd like to apologise if this is the incorrect forum to be posting on. This is apparently my first post (which I am actually kinda surprised about) ... but I wish this was under better circumstances.

I read a lot of fics in general and I just came across a Bleach fic that is VERY similar to a NaruSaku fic I read a while back. I was getting severe deja vu. Sentences are almost exactly the same. I know that some authors will change their story to fit another series, so I am hoping to get the name of the author or at least the name of the story. I'm trying to make sure there aren't any misunderstandings before reporting the story.

Here is what I remember of the NaruSaku story:
- Tsunade is Sakura's mother. Tsunade runs a hospital, dies and leaves everything to Sakura.
- Sakura is incredibly unpopular with the other girls in the village due to her popularity with the guys INCLUDING a very irately written Ino
- Naruto is a demon (possibly a prince) and needs to take on a human wife
- The council forces every elligible girl to go home, get in their best dress and line up single file so that Naruto can choose. It is very cold. A carriage arrives, Naruto walks down the line bluntly rejecting / insulting every girl. After insulting Sakura, Naruto choose her anyway.

The same thing occurs in the Bleach fic 'I call your name' (http://www.fanfictio..._Call_Your_Name)

The towns girls picking on the 'Rukia' character:

"Look at who we have here girls, the little tramp of the town,” a girl mocked with a smirk.

“Look at her, walking around with her nose in the air like she’s some little queen!”Another girl sneered. “She is so pathetic, first she gets her pretty little looks and now she’s suddenly rich and adored by everyone in the village? It wasn’t bad enough the little whore had every man wrapped around her little finger!”

The first girl laughed, “Don’t worry; father will see to it that she doesn’t get a single penny of what Hisana left her. It will all go to the council to help rebuild the town and since she’s a little goodie two shoes she won’t object.”

"If I had the choice of killing someone, it would be that little princess!” the second snapped as the first nodded in agreement. Along with every other girl in the town, they had turned their backs on her and ignored her.

Just like the two girls had said, Rukia’s inheritance was taken from her to help rebuild the town; their only reason, that woman should never hold such wealth, especially ones so young like herself. The young Kinomoto had been left with only a few sentimental possessions of her deceased sister. This of course infuriated her; she would have gladly helped if they had asked instead they took it forcefully. After that she had isolated herself within her home. She’d only come out to help out at the hospital or for meetings at the main hall.

"Too weak," He his voice was like silk and sounded unimpressed. Rukia bit her lip and tried to stop herself from shaking as her body shuddered in the chilly air. She was growing impatient, she wanted to go back into her house and sit in front of the fireplace and warm up. She watched as he continued down the row.

"Too young,” He spoke with the sound of boredom in tone.

He stopped when he reached Mika, she smiled seductively at him and he rolled his eyes inwardly. He looked up in the eye and smirked slightly, “Too repulsive.” Mika’s eyes widened in shock and narrowed as he continued on.

He hid the smirk at the scowl forming on her flushed face. He moved on and stopped in front of Rukia. She looked up at him through her long lashes as her innocent blue locked with golden brown. She noticed he had spiky orange hair and tanned skin. A permanent scowl upon his face as if it was glued there. He was also muscular then she had thought. He was godlike and inhumanly beautiful, it almost made her weak in the knees, but at the moment the coldness had her undivided attention. She waited for him to move on and make a comment about her being unsatisfactory.

He stared at her for what seemed an eternity. Rukia lowered her gaze and started to stare at other people who were now staring at her too. She sighed silently and gathered enough courage to look at him. It almost seemed like he was debating whether or not to do something. His eyes remained emotionless and his lips in a thin line scowl. He leaned down and she could feel his warm breath on her cold skin, the sudden contrast made her flinch.

‘This jerk, he’s toying with me. Probably hoping I’ll faint or something! Damn him for making me stand out here in this freezing wind! He has some nerve!’ Rukia thought agitated suddenly.

"Well?" Rukia spoke, her voice sounded like wind chimes as she glared at him softly. He looked surprised that she had spoken out.

"Well," He asked back in his velvet voice.

"Well?" Rukia spoke her voice was still sounded silvery but with a hint of anger. “You make us stand outside for hours waiting for you and when you come all you can do is give rude comments!”

She huffed, her cheeks turning rosier from the cold. Inside her head she was screaming at herself, what had come over her, she was sure to be buried alive after this. Everyone gasped at her and a few elders slapped a hand to their forehead at her sudden outburst. People prayed silently he wouldn’t demolish the rest of their town. Before she could react, his hand lashed out and grasped her wrist in a painful hold.

Rukia flinched, not from the pain, but the coldness of his skin. It was like stone and ice in one, it numbed the pain. She quickly looked up, making eye contact with him. She shivered as a chill ran up her spine. The corner of his lip curved into deeper scowl. He leaned down as his cold lips brushed against her ear, she shuddered.

"Watch what you say little girl.” He said in melodious voice.

Rukia glared at him through pure blue eyes, his golden ones narrowed as he starred at his reflections in her clear pools. He had never seen such innocence and purity in ones eyes, not even a child. He stood tall again and looked her over, "To revolting." He spoke louder then his previous comments. Rukia couldn’t glare at him at the time because of the wind picking up and she almost felt frozen. Her body trembled from the icy airstream as is encircled her petite body. She had her arms around her body like the other girls as the skirt of her dress and her midnight hair swirled in the raging wind speed. She thought he would move on to the next girl and she could relax, but it seems fate had different plans for her.

He turned back to look at her, "But then again I’m not a vain man,” he said with no feeling in his heavenly voice which was mesmerizing to the girls. He looked down the line and then at the young beauty, "It seems you’re the pick of the litter.” Rukia’s eyes widened as she looked at him. He almost looked disappointed at his choice.


Has anyone read something similar to this? If so and you happen to know where the fic is, then pls let me know. I was very much on the verge of reporting it, but I want to make sure that there isn't any misunderstanding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You know, that does sound familiar, but I've read so many fics and very few stand out. The ones that do go in my story alerts, and the ones that get completed go in my faves list (or are just really really ridiculously good looking long or extremely good read).

I have plans to go back through some old fics again. If I come across the fic you're talking about, I'll post it here.

its a duplicate, i skimmed over it but it looks the exact same i mean word for word if i remember the story Sands of Time, ofcourse the fic isnt around anymore for some reason which is too bad i liked it im not sure who its by. if the story ends up with rukia getting pregnant with triplets and one of them end up dying, well, thats the same.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to look at this, guys!! I don't think Strike is the right fic (but I think I might give it a read. ha ha..), since I'm pretty sure some exact passages were actually used. I'm glad some people find this familiar.

It's too bad that Sands of Time is no longer on the net b/c the whole triplets thing and one of them dying seems to be correct for me as well.

I'll see what I can do about this. I don't have any concrete proof or anything, but it's not fair to the original author if this author and the other are not the same.

just because the story dosnt exist dosnt mean the author dosnt, i forgot his name but he might of just deleted the story.

Acceptable response, I guess... it's their story so they can do what they want with it, but that's lame for people who were fans of the original.

Only slightly to do with the topic here, but I have never understood why certain fanfiction writers feel the need to take their stories sooo far out of context from the things that supposedly inspired them. I understand the concept of the Alternate Universe and what not, but if you are taking that far why not just give them original names and then you have your own story. I even read a NaruHina story awhile back that was so beautifully written that it could of prolly of gotten the author published just by changing the names of the characters to something original cause it had nothing to do with the Naruto universe in anyway whatsoever. I only bring it up in this thread cause of the OP's description of the story.

I've actually read a really good story that someone is trying to get published. She's working on it, but you know... trying to get published is a really big deal. A lot of people aren't quite ready for that sort of step or want to remain that type of anonymity. The other thing is that when you do fanfiction, you automatically have a fanbase that is interested in the story or their characters. I guess it can't be helped when certain characters inspire stories.

I always do find it a bit odd when people just change the name to make a different story. I know some characters are quite similar to characters of other series, but not so much that a global find and replace would do the trick. I mean that's not exactly what happened here exactly since the backstory is a bit different, but I've seen others do it.
