Kakashi is not dead nor is going to die.

Most importantly he's the most popular character in whole entire series. Naruto would be killed off before him.

And of course he's a yaoi fangirl magnet. NEVER piss of your yaoi fandom (especially since the Naruto one is huge).

^Not to get off topic...but KakaIru is the most popular Naruto pairing in the fandom. It has the biggest doujin section of any other pairing, even NaruSasu. Why kill off someone who sells a ton of merchandise that gives you money.

You mean like Gaara and Chouji? I'm not convinced until I see his completely lifeless body and Tsunade herself confirms it.

That's pretty much it. If Kishimoto can't kill off even side characters, he's not going to kill of one of the main characters. Kakashi is death proof.

trust me the number of yaoi fangirls is a sizable one, not saying that means it'll influence anything but they do exist

Looks like Kakashi's dead, like how I predicted months ago.

I find it a little hard to believe that Kakashi is dead just like that. Kishimoto put a lot of emphasis on his crossing of both worlds, something which he still has officially yet to do. Tsunade hasn't answered either time she's been asked about Kakashi's condition, so it's likely she herself does not know. It seems likely he's dead, but there's no way to confirm it yet at this point.

I'm still very confident that Kakashi isn't dead, as he's still very much needed for a few scenarios. If he's going to die at anyone's hands, it's likely to be Madara's.

I'm happy Sakura has made a continuous appearance in this fight. Hopefully we'll finally be able to get a glimpse at just how close her relationship with Tsunade really is. Maybe her parents will even be mentioned!

Speaking of which, I wonder what Sasuke's doing at the moment...

Naruto said he couldn't sense Kakashi's chakra. That's because Kakashi depleted his chakra; which we've known for seven chapters. This doesn't confirm his death at all.

As for the fight, I'm still holding out that this is one of those fights where the hero starts off doing well, and then the villain shows his TRUE POWERS and the hero is completely exhausted by the end. (I don't want to see Naruto win easily)

Hm... there is the possibility he is dead, it can go either way really, I wouldn't be surprised if Kishi was that dense. Anyway, there is also a possibility that this fight might end quickly to once again show Naruto's growth, remember, the real Pain isn't there, so he would have yet to be defeated, and I believe Madara will be the true 'last master' of Akatsuki.

Kakashi is like Scrat, from Ice Age. He. Is. IMMORTAL. Even if it looks like he's dead, he'll just come back from his afterlife scene (*points to ending of Ice Age 2*)
