LOL, in other words.. i'd be really upset and probably just, crawl up in a ball and cry for two hours if Naruto died. Childhood inspiration much...

Now, for the 2nd question, I really don't think Naruto is going to die, because what's the point of building him and his dream of being Hokage up, just to kill it at the end by killing him? Naruto deserves to have his happy future. Why would Kishi take that away and he somehow does then what valid reason does he have for doing it?

Now for the no pairings part, I would feel rather down and disappointed that there are no pairings in the end because you know, I want to see the epilogue and what happens with everyone and who they are married and have kids with and stuff like that. I wouldn't go on a rampage and stuff like that, but then again, that's because I'm always used to seeing disappointing results but yeah, I would still be disappointed if there were no pairings in the end.

To be honest I'd be fine if there wasn't a pairing.

As for Naruto dying I really don't think he will die.

I'd be slightly disappointed if there was no end pairing, but that's about it.
If Naruto died... I wouldn't be affected one little bit.

I don't think Kishimoto would have the guts to kill off Naruto and end the series there, and if he did that would be a very bold move on his half, but I'd want a long ass explanation in the manga as to why he killed off Naruto!

Kishi doesn't seem to have the guts to kill off any named characters, period. Case in Point: Kakashi, Shizune, Chouji's dad, and pretty much the entire Pein Invasion Arc...


Anyway, if Naruto dies, it depends on how he dies, heroic and epic sacrifice? A lil' disheartening, but it wouldn't be such a big deal.
A confusing and unsatisfying death? Well, obviously, it'd be annoying and trolling.

Now, if there were no pairings, it's a bit complicated. It'll depend on how Kishi handles the ship sinking.

I just realized something. If the series ended with no pairings, Pierot could add whatever the hell they want at the end. Little hints towards NH and SS, probably.

Upset. BUT I'll get over it. might be scarred for life about lack of pairings (NS I mean) but I'll get over it. Naruto dying... Well I would be a refreshing ending but I don't see it happening as NAruto isn't really a tragic hero and death won't give him peace. Could work for other characters though

I think Nate mentioned the same thing on the Debate Thread a while back, but Kishi's really invested too much time into the romantic subplot to leave things unresolved. He might have been able to pull it off earlier in the series, but the way he keeps bringing the romantic aspect of the plot into focus sort of tells me that he's reached the point of no return with his pairings. I mean, how many love confessions has he drawn so far? Three? Four, if you count Lee's? That's four more than most manga I've read. Also, the whole theme of surpassing previous generations would be wasted, if it were to end unresolved like that.
This, or Naruto's death, could potentially happen, but I feel like it'd be a troll move so massive it'd make Kubo and Mashima cringe.

As for how I'd react, it'd be probably be the same as if Naru/Hina and/or Sasu/Saku were to happen. I'd be dissapointed in Kishi for wasting blantantly obvious development, probably be a little disenchanted with my own manga-reading skills, and then I'd go watch some Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo to forget about it. Just try to frown while watching that show. Impossible.
