the last will be 1 giant middle finger from kishi, just because they forced his hand in the manga. he's going to have the last laugh for the years of development that went down the drain. does anyone honestly believe that naruto and sakura will barely have any interaction at all just like in this chapter? and also, notice how much info is packed in the databook, you think that was made in a day? no. when kishi made that he stated that naruto is in love with sakura. 

 

The last might be a middle finger but the even bigger middle finger is when it bombs at the box office because he's alienated his audience now with this ending and he will for sure not get the same sales he would have if he left it open ended.

This isn't a move that was conceptualised over night. Kishi and Pierrot have been jotting down themes and ideas to use in another movie since 2012. We should assume that Kishi was the developments of the movie into account when writing for both the manga and the recent Databook. If that's true, then we as readers are not being provided with the whole truth because Naruto's love for Sakura is persistently cited in DB4.

Girl, you make me want to write a fanfic  now. Except mine is going to be Ino and Sakura's friendship...<_< because Ino's dad kind of died...and we heard nothing of that.   However, I think I might just make mine right after 699. Yup. I'm going to add my own explanation and take on that little situation. LOL. 


Although I do technically have a ChouHina story I never finished. 
It was all about, how both were technically "not the best when it came to their clans and needed to get their shiz together".

I would laugh, if in the movie and spin off series, we see Naruto interacting and smiling with Sakura more than his " wife."
