Apparently The Last has already surpassed RtN in terms of box office when you take into consideration the value of the Yen back in 2012 versus 2014, that's according to the "AnimeGirl" forum user.
Again due to fraud and manipulation really how many times do we need to point this out ?. If we compare it like that then Give RTN the same level of marketing this Retconkitten had by saying its the "The Last Movie" and then lets see who comes on top , not to mention lets also compare the fan reception between the two and see who comes of top . It doesn't work like that
I find this comparison of the price of the Yen as that the Last was better then RTN ridiculous especially when the comparison is not fair when you don't take all the things into account . To me it just seems like someone trying to steer kitten up for the sake of it sign .

Intresting why it's not condsidering dollar but yen. Because it's means they put more yens to create it, so they need more yeans to gain from it. But who cares any way? NH just happy with this brough to them on a silver plate.

Not me. But I actually want to ask the same thing: who's gonna sacrifice yourself to watch Part 3 and tell it to us?
Anyway, what have I missed?

Right. Of course The Last is going to outsell RtN. Even the title was meant to generate nostalgia and drive people to the theatres, when in reality IT WASN'T THE LAST NARUTO MOVIE!!!
But RtN is equally popular based on it's own momentum, and the money of genuine fans who came to see it because they liked Naruto. Not because of the hype around the movie.
If you compare the two movies, side by side, based on the amount of money spent marketing it vs. the amount of money that it brought it, then RtN comes out far and away on top.

They sold out for money. Coming from someone who likes both DMC series the director of the game pretty much went to all the fans of the original series and instead of reassuring them he just said "kitten you guys our Dante is better" which is Pretty much what sp is doing with the pairings
They're going up to the fandom and doing this
They just gave a permission to create DmC
There was one news that CAPCOM considering creating of DMC 5.

Well the merchandise is collecting dust this is what we know by various sources from the Japanese fandom like twitter , tumblr , 2ch they all say the same thing the merchandise for "The Last" does not sell and its collecting dust I have no reason not to trust them when many Japanese fans confirm this .
With all do respect Atheck but I've seen this tactic before and to many times to recognize what is offering an insight and what is an obvious attempt to steer kitten up .
