Hmm.

I don't post much on this forum. In fact over the years from when I joined, I just came to enjoy reading and being amongst fellow NS lovers. Frankly the ending got me so distressed when I saw it, I had difficulties calming myself down. However after a few days of just ignoring, and being left out (Truthfully I kinda forgot my p/w to the site and the email i used when i registered) from my comfortable place I was forced to accept what happened. Pretty much came to terms with it.

It was only because one reason, that as much as I am a NS Fan, I am also a Naruto fan, and the thing that at least made me happy amongst all the sorrow was that atleast all of Team 7 achieved their dreams. The dreams they stated way back when in the introductions.

Naruto is much respected and is Hokage. albeit not the Sixth atleast he got there.

Sakura is Sasuke's bride - as much as I despise that. My favourite female lead at least got what she wanted.

Sasuke finally managed to avenge his clan and make his little spawn.

Even though the deep lesson about love I was hoping to learn from Naruto and Sakura's relationship wasn't taught. At least....At least I learned that dreams are achievable no matter how high and ridiculous they are.

And that got me to be happy. I can finally look at Naruto and Sakura, at Kishimoto, at anything related to Naruto without the betrayal. And that what makes me accept and love the NarutoxSakura pairing more than before.

Which got me calm enough to remember all the stuff i needed to log back in, and honestly gave me enough balls to ask my fellow NxS brothers and sisters. What was your Solace about the end? What was the one thing you can take from the Ending that can make you think. Hey that's not so bad! Even if it something as stupid as I'm glad that Tenten hasn't been bought into questioning for having rare weapons somehow for sale. I mean seriously? what is she? some sort of black market dealer now?

But I digress.

What is your Solace?

None. I just stopped being visibly upset.

Naruto and Sakura having no interaction for SS and NH becoming canon.

Of course there a lot of good messages in Naruto - but the most important message  'Never give up!" was thrown overboard with no real reason. And honestly, a lot of people including me gave up finding solace in Naruto. Because it reminds us of how wasted and uncompleted Naruto feels like.

That it was quick.

If he's going to fail to resolve virtually of the major plot points at least he didn't spend numerous chapters milking an ending that answered nothing.

About the best I can do, not much to take solace in.

It's weird that I found solace in how BAD it is, that I can't imagine that this was what was intended all along. Whenever someone says that NaruSaku fans were delusional, I look to the crappy ending and think 'really'? It's like okay, you can have this ending, and I'll just be here imagining a better one and ignoring yours. It's such a cop out that I can't take it seriously. You can only question 'why' at this point and then move on. It isn't me and my failure to understand Naruto, it's the author's failure to deliver, and nothing spells that out more than this awkward, pathetic ending.

So at some point I just did move on and stopped being upset. It's a ridiculous ending and if there was something I could do about it, I would, but I know I can't. So I discuss with others who feel the same and we come to similar conclusions. Sometimes I read what people who like it have to say, but I just can't agree though good for them I suppose.

I haven't liked Naruto since the start of the war arc. That's when things looked like a terrible fanfic and I couldn't really get interested in it. Now that it's over, I guess I now feel free to look back on the things I did like in the series. The ending is such a mess that I have a hard time accepting it's even part of the same story. Because of that...I can see AU ideas that actually make a lot more sense than the canon material XD So I guess...that's comforting? The Naruto that I did love can stay alive in fanworks and be far more entertaining than the canon material.

Same here. I had braced my self. I was upset at first. But the looking back at how it was all a forced ending and a marketing ploy to really just force a continuation of the series is what's I take solace in.

The ending deviated from the roots. Characters went Ooc. Clan restrictions went out the window for many. And them all having kids conveniently at the same exact time really just made it all the more apparent that this was just a massive set up to leave the door open for future iterations of this cash cow.

I take the fact that it was totally absurd(laptops, sky scrapers....... hello)

And the fact that there's some really good AU head cannons and hopefully a future alternate ending done by a fan artist.

Lol

Fanfiction and fan art and this community.

I honestly laughed when I first saw it. Then got upset when I saw my ppls hurting here.

Now I'm better. Way better actually. I'm totally ignoring the last two chapters and just going with fanfiction and other head cannons for now.

I hope my friends here can take solace in the fact that nothing makes sense in that last two chapter arc at all. Hahaha.
Laugh and move forward with our own community fan stories yet to come. Which are much much better if I do say so myself.

None. Outside of the awful pairings, l found the fate of characters l used to like such as Lee or Kiba downright depressing. Kiba was basically reduced to a lamer version of Naruto and an embittered guy who failed his life, and Lee never achieved anything despite working the hardest. Oh but they have kids now! Yay!

I also took solace in the fact that 699 & 700 were so bad and OOC. It made it easier to laugh at the awful fanfic ending.

We never see naruto accomplish anything.

I wanted so bad for naruto to beat the ever living crap out of sasuke and we get a tie.
Naruto's story follows the gust ninja story, but he didn't the girl.
We didn't see him as a Hokage. We saw it in 700.

What was naruto's story of never giving and making his dreams come true, turned into the part 2 "it's all about sasuke".

What is helping me is we are now seeing it was NS, but they switched to nh for money and to continue the story. You just don't see a supporting character trump the heroine. Hinita went from the weird girl who naruto's mom told naruto to stay away from to the heroine. That right there tells you something is up.

Well, I took solace in having one fewer draw away from my novel writing....

You haven't experienced the full cofusion of modern gender relations until you've heard an angry group of women yelling, "We want tentacles!" at an all-night Hentai-fest.
