I think this is what you're looking for? https://www.fanficti...8308113/1/Yurei

That was it! Thank you very much, was driving me nuts. And it was written by KnS, how could I have forgotten? Thank you!

yeah. This is it: https://www.wattpad....artbreak/page/4

Dude holy hell, thanks a lot! I was looking for that for ages. Totally going to have to read it once I read through these other few stories. Perfect way to end a once-a-year binge; in misery and depression, just like the series its based on XD

Hey everyone, hope you guys are doing well. Haven't been around here in a long while. I had a quick question that I was wondering if anyone had the answer to. I've accidentally fallen into a fanfic wormhole with this miserable series (even though I swore I'd never get back into it, a couple times a year I allow myself to see if there's any decent fics and scratch that what-couldn've-been itch), and I'm currently reading my way out of it.

A while back, I was looking for a fic that has since been deleted (hoping to find it on the archives), and I was wondering if anyone knows it by the description? Pretty sure it's been mentioned on this site before. Essentially the plot is that Naruto and Sakura spend the night together after the war, and Sakura does something that's pretty taboo during, and it crushes Naruto. Sasuke ends up coming back to the village after Naruto had beaten him, and he and Sakura get together (I know, yuck). Naruto is depressed and distraught, and ends up joining the Anbu and given his team, and has a complete change in personality. Meanwhile Sakura realizes she was wrong and that she actually loved Naruto, Sasuke gets executed for something, and Sakura runs off to Tsunade and joins the Anbu, and was placed on Naruto's team in order to help save him. The last written chapter had ended with Naruto finding out that Sakura was on his team, that he had fallen in love with her again, and he was furious about it, and she chases him into a storm.

The whole thing was brutally dark and depressing, and really well written. I was trying to find it again to read it and download it, but unfortunately the author deleted it. Would anyone happen to remember the name of it? Appreciate the help, if so!

It doesn't really matter whether it's "great" or "the greatest", given that it's effectively the same thing and serves the same purpose. From the start, it wasn't something where Deku was going to be a great hero among other heroes. He was going to be come All Might, who was the greatest hero of his age, clearly separated from the rest of the heroes of his generation. Deku is no different.

It's about time that Deku actually gets something and the manga gets interesting again. And the fact that One For All is developing under Deku is a good thing in that he's not going to become a copy/paste of All Might, and that it opens up the idea that maybe All Might wasn't a good enough fit for OFA to be able to use the other abilities.

I'd much rather have what we have now than where the manga was before last week.

Hes going to be OP. The signs are all there. I get that OfA already grant him that but when you add in more, then why. As for signs, think about it.
Nomu 2.0 is happening and perhaps even more upgrade. It already caused enough problem for Endeavor, who is now number 1 hero. Yes, it does downplay other top 10 a lot but hey, writing. Thank God for Kimetsu.
High End can clone itself. That already sets up for weaklings, I mean Class 1-A, I mean weak heroes to fight against without worries to fight bosses. Not to mention, League of Lose Villains have those supplements to increase power, so more use of henchmen.
Shouto has a new power-up; one that overshadowed Endeavors flame when utilize right. He can, but needs work. That said he can do it and its only a matter of time that he will surpass him, the number one hero. Power level what?
Bakugou hasnt lost to my recollection, so hes already powerful. Enough said.
Dekus quirk reflects by his emotions. Expect power of love kitten inbound but hey, paring, am I right? But seriously, expect a lot of power scaling mishaps.
Deku can use 7 quirks now (OfA included). Funny how we are in a stalemate to believe all of his quirk will be either supportive or offensive. Like that wouldnt undermine anyone else. Right, Sero? One or two quirk with strong offense is enough to alarm the worst. Now that the five is just waiting to unlock, expect plot convenient that will make Yami Yugi believe its unfair.
We just have to wait and see, but know this. Next chapter is the closure to this arc that somehow made it worse than Internship Arc. Should we expect Deku squashing everyone? Well see. In the meantime, Im just wondering how many times Ochako has to be saved in a span of a chapter.

Not sure if this is directed at me, but this addresses nothing that I said.

Regarding some of the stuff in the last paragraph, I think this development actually made the story much better than it has been. Also, that snide dig at Ochako is misplaced considering, you know, she’s the one that saved Deku to begin with and then got attacked by two enemies outside of the one she was actually confronting.

The odd thing is we haven't seen him struggling in a long time. That's not reassuring. Also, yes, it will soon. Hellboy said that all of their quirks are enhanced significantly, so it's not like bare fist is the only strong point while others are lower level. It's more convenient since we can imagine a moment of struggle happens and he somehow unlocks the other quirk out of spite. It's been since Muscular that gave me true tension of Deku's danger. Overhaul was the first to kill it and it looks like it won't be the last.

So losing control of his quirks and having no idea what happened and being saved by Ochacko is not Deku struggling? And losing control of his quirks in his sleep is also not him struggling? But in a broader sense, since saving that little girl, how many opportunities have we seen where Deku could have struggled? The only time he could have was against that YouTube dude, and he struggled even then. He’s struggled at every turn.

The main arguments for those end pairings are Renji's backstory and motivations -he was Rukia's best friend for about 50-100 years, he had clear feeling for her, while she at the very least cared about him, after one comment to cheer her up led to him losing her to the nobility, and then he spent the next 50 years working his way to the top in order to get her back/be with her again-, compared to Ichigo's -I owe a debt to her for saving my family, she's a friend of mine, and this execution order that is punishment for the action she did in order to save my family is morally wrong-, the fact that one of them is dead, and that Kubo constantly said their relationship isn't romantic.

That is a remarkably slanted simplification of the backstories of two ships.

MHA was a fun series while lasted...

On the flip side, we might finally get some damn shine and development for Deku himself. I’m happier about this than I have been with most of the series for a long while. If it’s done well, it could be much better than the trash heap Kishi put out. I don’t necessarily think it is equivalent to Naruto or the whole Sage thing, but it depends on how it’s written. Hopefully it’s a sign that the author is about to actually invest in his main character instead of sacrificing him on the altar of side characters like Bakugou.

That’s one way to make a ship sail. Erina used Souma’s weird style to craft something on her own. She’s grown so much, and all because of him. Love how she took his catchprhase, cooking, and she’s even going to use what he cooked the very first time they met.

#957961 The Great Naruto Discussion Thread

Posted by AHK on 11 December 2017 - 03:03 AM

I have time, so let me instruct you a little here, since you choose not to get detailed, by breaking down my own stuff.

Chapter 3 setting up the foundation for Team 7 cannot be a lie, else, Sasuke and Sakura would not be in chapter 3, as we are being introduced to these characters. To be introduced to characters to a reader that are a part of a team with the main character, is to set up a foundation. This is a narrative fact.

The scene is not important and should not be counted as SS Development is subjective. This is reasoned because the aspect of individual development is that Sakura is told off by Sasuke here. There isn't a remarkable shift in their bond at this point. we are pretty much merely introducing what the bond is. This cannot be a lie, because it is opinion.

Saying the Bench scene is over glorified and does not deserve a revisit is also subjective. It is delivered as an opinion. It cannot be a lie unless I do not believe in it. To its benefit, there is not any evidence that Sasuke or Sakura have ever thought of this scene again, that is fact, and this supports the opinion that they would not talk about it.. This does not mean it cannot be revisited, but considering what the narrative plan is, the story does not earn anything by doing so.

It is true though, that Kishimoto chose not to revisit it, the manga shows that it was never shown again.

The conclusion is that you do not know what a lie is, or mis-use it, because nothing in my statement can be a lie, by its connotative definition. It is either fact or opinion. if you are going to call out something as a lie, then you should show evidence.

Well, balls. Was gonna insert-snarky-witty-better-thought-out-response, but I guess it’s a bit pointless now, ISN’T THAT RIGHT, DEROCK?!?

#957810 Liking Hinata and hating Sakura

Posted by AHK on 09 December 2017 - 05:28 AM

Again, Moe is a very particular concept, typically a character evoked as cute and adorable that you want to protect, often in a big-brotherly or sisterly way.

Hinata is not evoked as Moe. She fights as a ninja, she risks her life, and is not evoked as cute or adorable. Himawari is closer to this,  but that wouldn't really work either.

There are two aspects to Tsundere. You -must- have both. Simply having a temper, as Sakura does, which Kushina does too, and Tsunade, does not mean by default Tsundere, else, the term becomes functionally meaninglesss.

I'm happy to explain it in more depth if you have further questions.

You would think that the fact that Sakura was trained by a woman whose name is a direct stem from the word in question would be enough to quell this idiotic assertion of yours that Sakura isn’t a tsundere, let alone that she acts the same way as said teacher.

You’re the anime equivalent of a flat-earther, and this stupid argument you keep insisting on regarding Sakura being a tsundere is like how those geniuses call the atmosphere the atmosflat.

#957099 Ending with SS in a good way

Posted by AHK on 03 December 2017 - 01:44 AM

A lot of the below is a lie. Since it's long, going to reply within the quote. Assuming this is what we also mean by "Detailed post".

Answering the last outside of the quote.

If you are saying Hinata let Neji die so she could have her time with Naurto, you're lying.

If you're saying Boruto is not canon, you're lying.

But wow, really low calling a child Hepatitis. Seriously?

Be honest. Stop twisting interviews and making things up that aren't even true. And try to reduce your bashing, calling a child Hepatitis is just downright awful and doesn't make you look like a good person at all.

Hold the phone. You are the absolute last person that needs to tell somebody to “be honest, stop twisting interviews and making things up that aren’t true”.

The very first “correction” you made of that previous post was bs on your part, you blatantly twisted it to suit yourself. We’ve already had this discussion. It wasn’t a simple joke. Everything he said was supported by what Kishi wrote in the story. He meant that her “love” was equivalent to a drug addiction. You can joke and be completely serious about the point you were making. He was not kidding when he implied that her gross obsession with Sasuke was unhealthy for her.

This ridiculous bravado you put on is honestly embarrassing.

Yo, just caught up from the beginning. I'll give them credit, it's been really good. The animation from the Goku Black saga onwards has been amazing, and it's only gotten better. This universal tournament arc has been incredible, can't wait for Goku to finish off Jiren. That final fight is going to be amazing.

#956494 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by AHK on 29 November 2017 - 01:12 AM

The Databooks certainly suggest it, even tease a possibly of Sakura returning them but ultimately within the manga itself its shown that Sakura doensn't, and you pretty much have a fading crush. To interpret it as actual romantic love is therefore, not correct. Plus, if we're giving weight to data books, then we certainly have to give weight to them all, including one detailing the "love story" between Naruto and Hinata, show casing moments of development between the two.

This isn't disregarding Naruto's feelings, given, Naruto doesn't love her. I simply understand that Naruto moved on, which there is nothing wrong with doing. Nothing wrong with not liking it either mind. Even if he did love her, what difference would it really make? He would still be moving on, and the difference in wording would have very little effect on canon IMO beyond petty stuff, maybe.

I hate the term "real audience", because pairing fans are a part of that, and they're from all fandoms.

Though your description here applies aptly to the "losers" as well, given many believe anything as long as the fantasy image of the precious "happy ending", being corrupted and altered from what it was supposed to be remains untouched.

There's no retcon. There's no evidence of appealing to one fandom (Particular that the ending would please multiple anyway). This is presumably, just frustration, given justification, I.E., cognitive dissonance.

First of all, youre full of it. Naruto did love Sakura. Thats a canon fact no matter how you try and twist it.

Youre also a hypocrite for even suggesting cognitive dissonance when youre sitting there two sentences prior trying to tell others that there is no retcon, given that the entirety of The Last was a retcon, and it was the only viable way to give your ending legs.

Shallow initially, yes. But she's certainly not clingy or desperate.

Stop. She is all three. The ending showed that.
