#979734 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Gravenimage on 21 July 2020 - 02:01 AM

rushed perhaps but i still think he had them in mind for other characters kids. Sarada is just way too Karin and Sasuke, and Boruto has multiple Sakura and Naruto elements.

Nah im pretty well convinced he had them in mind as next gen progeny of NS and SK

Boruto was the next Naruto set to inherit Kurama when he was ready the marks would have come then

Sarada for me was Sasuke and Karins Kid and shared some fo their abilities karins uzumaki blood which would lead to better control of her Sharingan but more so I think she was meant to idolize Sakura hence some of Sakuras outfit choices which leads to her becoming the powerhouse she would become.

It was proven in the manga Sarada is Karin's daughter and not Sakura but Kishi backpedaled remembering he needed to keep with the SS canon crap.

Sad this thread can't add any more content given the direction of the series.

Can we add the alternative Last when the manga is completed? :umm:

#979240 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Gravenimage on 19 June 2020 - 03:53 PM

It wasn't. It was just an excuse to explain their kittening writing while Kishimoto openly bans the one character that resembles his wife.

Turns out I found out that Kushina was all Kishimoto's wife's idea

Oh yeah wasn't Kushina supposed to be like Sakura originally? So it should have been Kushina+Sakura=Kishi's wife. Then he changed it to Kushina+Hinata=Kishi's wife. That's why she got angry with him over the ending. So even her wasn't expecting to see such a shocking ending along with the Japanese fans

#979187 Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Anime Discusion

Posted by Gravenimage on 17 June 2020 - 01:55 PM

Naruto will always be the most retcon anime in history and Boruto will always be the worst anime/manga in history. It has lasted this long because of one stupid ship becoming canon that goes against the plot of the original story. I do hope Kishimoto finally retires this show needs to put out of it's misery and let it die in pieces.

#978897 Naruto: Alternative The Last (Doujinshi)

Posted by Gravenimage on 26 May 2020 - 07:58 PM

I've been reading through this thread and I'm sorry, but this page and the turn the plot has taken is borthering me a lot. More importantly, it's starting to venture into things that are contradictory to the manga. At first glance, I was wondering why RTN Hinata was here. The art is superb, and I commend the artist for being able to mimick Kishimoto's drawing style so effectively. However, I'm starting to see plot lines from The Last, which in itself is definitely not in line with the manga at all.

Let's not forget that Hinata's defining character trait is her shyness/quietness/passiveness. This is why in RTN, when everyone was opposite/different from their defining traits, Hinata was wearing revealing clothing (very similar to the one in the picture), was loud and was aggressive. It's completely inaccurate for her to be in an outfit like that. I remember this being one of the things that was first pointed out in TL when it first started to be marketed. Sorry if this is hard to hear, as many of you seem to enjoy the doujin, but I had to point this factor out as it was one of the contributing erasure tactics we had to endure with the ending.

Will see how the doujin continues to play out though. I have to admit I do like Toneri's character design/personality. It's a bummer that he wasn't a villain in a seperate arc.

I will love it even if it contradicts the manga I mean how many times has Pierot done it? I see no problem with an artist doing it.

I want more. No, seriously...

Ditto I can't have enough of this awesome story. This is how the Last should really be not the piece of NH crap that premiered in theaters.

#978473 Samurai 8 has been axed!

Posted by Gravenimage on 24 April 2020 - 11:27 AM

Didn't see a topic on it but due to low sales, this kitten is being canceled.

I guess the garbage epilogue and all of the retcons weren't a fluke. Kishimoto can't blame NH fans, SP or anybody for this one.

Like I didn't see that coming it's just as I thought. It wasn't just the story being too short, boring and low on quality but the Japanese fans are still upset with Kishi because of Naruto's ending. After making such a big mistake you think anyone would want to read another manga written by him? It's a no-brainer so S8 won't even get an anime adaption because it's that bad. Yet I don't feel sorry for him he had this coming this is what happens when he listen to his editors and the western fans instead of having a back bone and decide for himself what's best for his story. Why do you think Oda won't give in to the shippers? He said it clearly OP isn't a romance manga and he will stick to his words so the Luffy/Nami Luffy/Boa fans have no other choice but to stick with fan fiction.

#978094 RWBY

Posted by Gravenimage on 26 March 2020 - 09:44 PM

After over a month since the end of the volume and after thinking and reflecting I have finally decided to give my thoughts on v7 overall. There's barely anything I like about it so I will obviously start with what I didn't like:

-Faunus discrimination being thrown out of the window: I was expecting to see so a lot of faunus discrimination since it's Atlas. So from what we've seen in Vale, Mistral and Argus there's barely anything. Boy was I wrong again RT fails to show it. Also we finally get an explanation to why they failed to write a sub plot when it comes to hating faunus. According to Miles at a con he said it's" too ambitious" and because he's 23 and white along with Kerry and Monty that they couldn't write faunus discrimination as a whole. This is a big issue and yet another sign of bad writing. Then what is the sole purpose of the existence of the White Fang to begin with? What did Ghira, Blake's father founded the group and wanted equality between them and the humans when there's no discrimination at all? Why did he retired and let Sienna Khan take over? Why did Adam hated humans in the first place? Why does Menagerie exists? All of these questions have no answer except that the writers are white and they don't know how to do it. In addition there's no point for all the things I mentioned to exist. Like I said bad writing.

-Weiss owns a drunk- why would she throw a drunk on a trash bin? Sure the guy was supposed to be hating on the faunus Blake. But does he really deserves that? He's drunk, defenseless. I see it as bullying to do such thing to someone who isn't in the right state of mind and also a civilian who can't fight.

-The Penny/Ruby reunion: after seeing Ruby crying when she witnessed Pyrrha tearing her to shreds in v3 I was expecting she was going to be overjoy. But no she just stood there like" what it's Penny" and the rest of the group look like didn't care it's like they don't give a crap Penny is back. Penny's death was the final nail that made people to panicked during v3, it mainly led to the Grimm attacking and the Fall of Beacon. She shouldn't have never return because now it feels like there was no point to v3 (it feels like it was a pointless volume when it's among the best volumes IMO). But after seeing the reason they brought her back (I will talk about it later) it's no surprise that there's more bad writing going on.

-Not trusting Ironwood: this is the biggest mistake done by the writers in the volume. Making Ruby lied to Ironwood, not telling him that Salem is immortal, that the lamp of Knowledge can't grant any more wishes when there's still one remaining, It's just downright stupid the man has already shown from the start that he can be trusted that he is dedicated to his people and the cause he's fighting for and values comrades to a degree. The same goes to Yang and Blake not telling him about Robin knowing of Amity Colosseum I will get to that later. But they needed a reason for James to become the bad guy when they failed. I don't blame him for acting the way he did, for doing the things he did. They kept secrets from him when he has shown that he has no ill intentions or a secret agenda. He even gave the lamp back to Ruby so why the kitten would she lied to him???

-Turning RWBY, JNR and Qrow like idiots during ep 3: I know they wanted the Ace Ops to shine during the fight with Geist that was covered in dust crystal (not to mention its the title of the episode) but letting the rest stood there and watch like they were complete idiots doesn't cut it. Sorry but it was poorly executed. Then I face palm when Ruby said she didn't know how to attack it without hitting the dust crystals, causing an explosion that will cause a cave in of the mine. It's so stupid, is as if they made her a complete rookie and she had absolutely no experience fighting Grimm. So the red trailer, her fights from v1-6 is like they never took place. She suddenly forgot to fight and the same goes to her teammates, Jaune, Nora and Ren. Qrow most importantly who is an experienced Huntsman and has probably fought more Grimm that everyone else combined didn't know either (bravo RT for great writing). I wouldn't have mind if they team up with Ace Ops and defeat the Geist together. Whatever moving on.

-The Renora kiss: as much as I love the ship I saw it pointless for Nora to kissed Ren. We don't know what the hell is wrong with him, the writers left it hanging probably for the next volume and I see it as a mistake. Did they made them kissed to make the shippers scream in ecstasy? Or was it to get their attention away from the incoming massacre by Tyrian. It was out of place and definitely not the place or time for such thing. It should be something to do when both are alone and in a more isolated place.

-Robin defying the military: a new character with lots of potential and no surprise RT ruins it. Her introduction in ep 5 I think was her trying to stop an Atlas shipment with Ruby, Qrow, Penny and Clover in it. Clearly she was defying them and had intentions to attack them in exchange to get information. I know she's based on Robin Hood but what makes this so bad it's the fact that she's supposedly running for member of the Atlas council, see the irony? She's running for an important political position and she was planning to attack a military convoy whoa, great way to earn positive voting points. And then after the massacre at her victory party she decides to steal from the military. She lost the election so it should be all right to steal from them. I will explain it later. Later on she defies Clover while they were on a air ship wanting to provoke a sight (when they're thousands of feet in the air). This character could have been so awesome specially when she;s voiced by Cristina Vee among my favorite female VA's. Like I always say don't hate the character hate the writers.

-Penny being blamed for the massacre at Robin's victory party: now I think it was a good plan by Watts to make Penny the one to kill the people at the party when it was really Tyrian in the dark. But there are two big flaws to this plan, one that I will explain now. If Penny is responsible for killing all those people then why there's no blood on her blades??? You think they would come up with that conclusion but they're too stupid to notice because the writers themselves are stupid.

-Faunus can't see in the dark: during v1 Pyrrha explained that many faunus have the ability to see in the dark while Oobleck explained a war between humans and faunus and their advantage over them due to their night vision. Okay cool. But suddenly that knowledge seems to have been forgotten by RT when the faunus present at Robin's party couldn't see Tyrian killing people left and right. Another event of the volume that was poorly executed.

-Doing things off screen: for me as a writer myself I think doing events off screen without providing a flashback of those events is a big mistake. This was obviously done by RT a couple of times, when the riots in Mantle started that Grimm arrived and the episode ends. The next episode shows that riot was handled by the Atlas military. Then after the massacre at Robin's election victory party more Grimm arrived and the episode ended. When the next episode begins the Grimm have been defeated and more military are patrolling the streets. This is not just horrible but lazy writing as well. Are they trying to save money? It shouldn't matter show more fights for crying out loud. But I will talk about that later.

-Getting their license: so after everything they've been through they finally get their Huntsman license thanks to Ironwood. The way it was done it seems anti-climatic not to mention their reactions didn't helped. I felt like it could have been done better.

-Qrow/Ruby conversation: while Yang was taking a selfie with Blake, they were talking about Summer. Again Yang being separated from her family making the fans forget that she and Ruby are supposed to be sisters. But why bring Summer now in v7? Qrow should have brought her in back in v3 the moment he showed the team STRQ picture. Why does it has to be a secret who Summer Rose is? Yes she's Ruby's mother the leader of Team STRQ and a strong Huntress but that's all we know from her. Why can't they bring more of her. Like the kind of person she is, why was she killed, was it Salem, did she had an apprentice another silver eyed warrior? I feel like Miles and Kerry don't know kitten in what to do with her character. Yet they finally revealed her at the end of v6 as a flashback for Ruby to activate her silver eye powers. Again why the big mystery with her? Then Salem brings her into the topic making Ruby break down (why???). We're heading for v8 please RT just let us know or is it because the writers are white and writing about Summer is too ambitious too? Maybe the reason Bumblebee has developed so horribly is because Miles and Kerry are straight.  :zaru:

-Difference between killing and apprehension: when Ironwood ordered the group to go after Robin there was an scene and Blake and Yang talking about the whole thing. Blake brings Adam to the conversation and I honestly don't know why the hell she would because they were ordered to capture Robin ALIVE not kill her. Then Yang having the balls to say that they killed Adam because they did what was necessary. I'm sorry Yang but not that was not necessary killing Adam was wrong is so many levels not just because the writers hate him along with the Bumblebee fandom but because it labeled you" good guys" as murderers and bad guys. The right thing to do was knocking him unconscious and leaving him on Cordovin's front door so they can lock him up, end of story. But he was killed because that's what the writers wanted and give a big push to justify the bee's ship. Really stupid and badly done.

-The ship teasing: one of the most annoying things in the volume, specially when it comes to Bumblebee. They think they're doing the ship justice and the proper development but you're not. Ship teasing doesn't cut it RT you're only throwing bones at the fandom with those 2-3 seconds clips why? Because probably most of the fans that watch the show is for the ships specially this one. It doesn't matter if the plot is kitten or the writing is kitten as long as there ship teasing everything else is okay. What a great fandom this is and I thought Naruto's was cancerous.

-No Weiss development: one of the reasons I was excited for this volume is because they're going to Atlas I was hoping Weiss would get some good character development and once again I lifted my hopes up because that's the last thing RT did. I was expecting her to spend more time with her family, with Whitley, Willow (Jacquess not really) I just wanted her to interact with them and bond with them to show that she care for her family. Instead she only shows that she cares more for her older sister Winter than the rest. She's not worried that her mother is an alcoholic who feels miserable for her life and existence, she's not worried that her brother is being brainwash by her father to become the perfect role model to run the family company. But then again since when Weiss has given a crap about the SDC?

-JNR to the rescue: during Jacquess party Weiss was about to head upstairs and go to her father's office to see if she can find anything that will give her a clue as to why he won the election. She was pretty sure someone helped him won by illegal matters. But Whitley prevented her from passing so why she didn't do something about it? Instead Jaune, Ren and Nora has to come up with a shenanigan to make him move and I admit it was funny, but it was unnecessary spending money on that small scene. Weiss could have tell him that she wanted to go to her room while her teammates will keep him busy trying to start a conversation but no, let the jokers handle it to give them purpose for being there.

-Hypocrisy at it's finest: when Weiss found out Jacquess was helped by Watts she immediately exposed her father as a conspirator and proving he didn't won the election fairly. So he gets arrested and yet Robin who has done crimes against Atlas doesn't? Okaaayyyyy she's not the bad guy it's evil Papa Schnee. Adding that the whole election is a parallel to the Trump/Hillary 2016 election showing their political ideas that they clearly hate Trump (which I see nothing wrong with it but it's wrong using such ideas on a animated show).

-The truth at the worst time: so while everyone was fighting the Grimm Ironwood decided to tell Robin the truth after Oscar told him and she was using her semblance to know he wasn't lying on a live broadcast. Everyone is running for their lives panicking over the Grimm while telling them the true enemy and that it can't be killed, genius writing RT.

-Cinder is still alive: I just hate this so much. Why is she still alive? She should have been dead back at v5. I see no purpose for her to fulfill it's like she's only in the show to waste space. She's the Fall Maiden and yet she couldn't beat the Winter Maiden and got owned by Ruby again. In the end she got the Lamp of Knowledge thanks to Neo.

-Neo getting nerfed- since v2 when she made her debut we have seen what she's capable of. She's very skilled and talented and was able to beat Yang one on one (she would have kill her if it wasn't for Raven to show up at the nick of time). But in this volume that skilled and experienced fighting got sucker punched by Oscar of all people. She saw him running at her, she could have easily dodge it with little effort but she still got punched, why? What was the purpose to remove her disguise that she was pretending to be Oscar? Nerfing characters is also part of bad writing.

-Bad tag team: one of the things I hated the most of the volume was Qrow teaming up with Tyrian to fight Clover. It's easy to set their differences aside and go after the psychopath who knows how many people he has killed. Qrow knew that well and he still chose to fight Clover, his actions caused the man his life as he was killed by Tyrian. His death is on Qrow it was his fault. Yet another character that has been horribly written in this volume.

-Penny the Winter Maiden: here we go when I said the reason they brought her back, asides that fans demanding her to return? Because she took Fria's place as the new Winter Maiden does that make sense, a robot becoming a Maiden? The only reason to explain this phenomenon is because she has aura otherwise, it would be pretty retarded. IMO a perfect candidate to the maiden would have been Robin. But whatever, if anything happens to Penny this time the powers will find someone else.

-The good guys are the bad guys: so after Ironwood called Ruby on her lies he was planning to use the Staff of Creation to elevate Atlas high above the skies to prevent Salem from coming, leaving the people of Mantle to rot. It was desperate move he made but one with justification because Ruby and her friends are to blame for his choice. RT trying to make Ironwood the bad guy I don't see him as such. The ones who beat the Ace Ops and decided to run away because they know there's nothing they can do to save the people of Mantle while Salem is hot on their trail. They go against the military and they were planning of leaving (stupid, retarded and it only makes them look bad) being the good guys is a joke.

-Winter's choice: after Cinder escaped she was hurt but she was still alive. She actually told Weiss and the others to leave before the military comes for them. She even contacted them telling them she needed backup. So basically she decides to go against her own sister proving she cares more for her job as a soldier and loyalty to Ironwood that her own family. This made me so mad and made me lose respect for her. I was hoping she was going to betray the military and do the right thing in supporting her sister. It's like she can't give her opinion, it's obey orders and that's it. Loyalty is all that matters to Atlas and it's been prove not just by Ironwood but by the Ace Ops too when Harriet told RWBY they're not" friendly close" they're just comrades acting professionally under orders. Makes me wonder if he orders her to kill Weiss, will she do it?

-Not enough fights: the volume had 13 episodes and there were like 5-6 fights some of them were too short. Showing how the fighting quality has dropped since the first volumes. It's hasn't been the same without Monty who coordinated the fights and you could tell it was him behind it all when you look at v1 and 2, he didn't contributed enough in 3.

Now for what I like about the volume:

-The music: as always Jeff Williams never disappoints bringing great tracks for this volume as always his daughter Cassie Williams doing most of the singing along with some guests (youtuber Caleb Hybes being one of them as he sings on Ironwood's theme "Hero"). This is the only thing that hasn't drop quality from the show. A mix, of rock with some pop/jazz elements with some nice ballads to boot.

-Watts and Tyrian: these two have shown in this volume that they are better villains than Cinder and her two lackeys Emerald and Mercury. Their teamwork is amazing. Tyrian is insane and unpredictable but when he has someone with brains telling him what to do, he is even more dangerous. Watts showed the level of his intelligence with his plans (though I'm still wondering if he was able to disconnect the heaters from Mantle why not cut the power while he was at it?) from framing Penny, to helping Jacquess win the election and the general plan that both were nothing but decoys with the purpose to  distract the military, create chaos in order to buy time for Salem to arrive.

-RWBY vs Ace Ops: now many are saying they didn't like the fight and that the Ace Ops got nerfed getting beaten by a couple of kids. First of all they are not kids, Ruby is almost 17 and the others are almost 19 so they're young adults. Second they already have enough experience from fighting Torchwick, the White Fang, Adam, the Vytal Festival, the Battle of Beacon, traveling Anima, Kuroyuri, the Battle of Haven, the train to Argus, Brunswick farms, the battle of Argus and fighting in Mantle. These young adults have been through so much and what doesn't kill them only makes them stronger. And third they have the teamwork and friendship to beat the odds. Remember the Ace Ops don't go over the friendship boarder and keep a professional relationship. They don't have the bond and teamwork RWBY has they know their moves and has come up with their own tag team attacks. I approve of the fight and I really enjoyed it.

-Ironwood vs Watts: another great fight that got me so hype specially when the song Hero was being played. It was a western gun fight set in a future setting lol. I also like when Ironwood chose to sacrifice his human arm to get to Watts showing his resolve and the lengths he will go to stop Salem. And finally the fact that he chose not to kill him but to put him on a prison. Again showing that the man can be trusted and that he's not the bad guy.

-Oscar getting shot: I don't know why but I like when Ironwood shot him. Oscar thought he could convince him to rethink his choice only to received a bullet and fall from Atlas lol.

-The storm arrives in Atlas and Mantle: the end of the volume where Salem shows up like a boss wearing bad ass fighting attire riding on a flying Grimm whale with a large army with her. V8 has to be a victory for her Atlas and Mantle must fall. The main villain has to win so the heroes get a hard reminder of what was the Fall of Beacon like. Only this time, it will be worse. Because if Team RWBY defeats her I will drop the show. You're going to need more than friendship and yuri shipping to stop her.

That's it. This is why I'm not hype for v8 in the least.

m8ubbxayrok21.jpg

lol, look at this kitten^^^ "Kiba recognized Naruto's feelings for Hinata before he did." was the caption. Kiba started to turn into an advocate.

what about when Naruto recognizes his own feelings for Sakura-Chan? I guess that isn't valid. Or even someone like Sai can see it, it isn't valid. Or when Yamato and Ino comments on Sakura-Chan's growing feelings for Naruto?  But Kiba of all people is the one with the valid statements. Also, guess Naruto's girlfriend comment wasn't valid as well.

What's funny to me is how Naruto actually had the most genuine love in the whole manga, yet, it was his feelings that was treated like it was only a crush, while Sakura-Chan's and Hinata's feelings was treated like it was so special. Naruto was the only one who showed selfless love, who love wasn't flip-flopping, to him, it's Sakura-Chan or no one. The only love that was actually rivaling Naruto's obviously was Sakura-Chan's growing love for Naruto, which showed selflessness as well.

I lol at that panel. I guess all the panels that had Yamato, Sai, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Shikamaru knowing of Naruto's feelings for Sakura, Minato didn't mean kitten. Naruto himself even stated he loves Sakura more than once but he couldn't confess to her until he fulfills the POTLT. Hell all of Konoha knew he likes Sakura remember when she hugged him in 450 (the friendship hug ) everything is disregarded like it never took place and replace with kitten that contradicts everything NS stands for. This is the best way to destroy a story. Kishimoto will always be a strong reminder to manga author of what NOT to do when writing manga. And to this day I can tell he's trying to redeem himself with his new manga, a shame samurai seven isn't doing that well in sales.

What? Context?

Looking up Wikipedia... in 137....Jesus it gone on that long already. The Clone joins that Sleazy Inventor's institution so her team get a Samurai girl as an exchange student...What.

138 Hinat'a father's Birthday Bolt needs to get him a gift.

139 some random side character that was an old Class mate of bolt is possessed by a summoning beast, and at the end Ibiki Morino takes her under his wing.

140 Sai's son is learning the mind transfer jutsu uses Fat Filler as a training dummy unable to posses her because she is hungey for potato chips.

141-147 Bolt and Cups going to that prison from the Movie Blood Prison to protect an inmate.

That's all that has happened since the time travel arc. So what?

Jesus Christ Pierot really ran out of ideas years ago. Just put this series out of it's misery. It's not worth milking it anymore.

#977220 Final Fantasy VII remake

Wow, so much hype. It's pretty much as japanese, as trailer for jrpg can get, and it's strangely gives off a vibe of Kojima's hand.

I'm actually glad square delayed the game's release so they can finish putting the final touches, polishing things here and there. Meaning the game will be perfect when it releases. Just by the look of that trailer we already know it's perfect in every way.

She's to much of a kitten to be good so far only isa turned good.

When she was defeated she seemed like she has qualities of becoming good just my opinion.
