NaruSaku Dreams of an Absolution

24 January 2013 - 11:45 PM

So today, I was cleaning up my room, and I had DOAA blasting through my speakers. While cleaning, I was thinking about NaruSaku, and I began to peace together the puzzle thats been alluding me whenever I listen to this song.

"Happiness lies trapped in misery." Sai told Sakura that Naruto keeps trying to make Sakura happy, is the source of his pain. Pain = Misery.

So, Sakura's happiness, is trapped in Naruto's misery. This can be seen when Tsunade healed Sasuke, and Sakura was crying. You could see the pain in his eyes. And again when Sakura begged Naruto bring him home.

Lets continue this topic. Turn the page.

"In the nightlight do you still feel your pain? For the valor you waited never came?"

The Valor would be Sasuke, to give Sakura power to save herself from the pain of being alone. But, it never came, as he left.

And every night, I lie awake. And I find no conclusion. And every night, it just stays the same. In my Dream of an Abolution."

This can be taken in both ways:

Naruto stays up at night, every night, and thinks of his Absolute Dream. That dream, is being Hokage, with Sakura as his wife, or girlfriend.

Sakura, on the other hand, can do the same, thinking about the old days in Squad 7, and how she would love for them to be just like that. Or, since she finds herself nowadays thinking about Naruto, could be thinking about how Naruto is always there for her in her time of need.

"'Cause every night I will save your life, and every night I will be with you,"

Whenever Sakura is in danger, who is always there to save her? Naruto. Naruto has always saved her in her time of peril, and comforted her when she needed it most. (i.e When Saskue left, and Naruto easily read her like a book. Despite the emotional pain in his eyes, he gave her that classic smile, and promised to bring him back.)

"And I might know of our future,"

This part is Kushina, telling Naruto to find a girl like her, and since Sakura is just like Kushina, it fits. The chapter where Naruto left for Sage Mode training, she made a fist with one and, and put her arm over it. Its something that Kushina did when she was alive.

"Only you know if we'll be together tonight,"

This was tricky. Only time (In this case, time being the "you") will only tell if Naruto be with Sakura, thus making his Dream of an Absolution that much closer. Sakura has shown many times in Part 1, albeit there were much more in Part 2, that she cares for Naruto.

When she confessed to Naruto, she wasn't lying. She does love Naruto, but at the same time, she still loves Sasuke(Although I don't know for the life of me why. He tired to kill her twice, and doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself anymore.) But to me, I think that her love for Naruto is slowly, but surely starting to overpower her love for Sasuke.

"And you'll see (and you'll see)
What you'll be (what you'll be)
And you'll see (and you'll see)
All you can be (all you can be)
Oh (oh)
'Cause every night (every night)
And every night (and every night)
And every night (and every night)
I will dream (I will dream)
And you'll see (and you'll see)
(yeah) That this is my dream (all you can be)
And you'll see
Every night (all you can) (oh)
I will always dream (yeah)
'Cause every night (every night)
And every night (and every night)
And every night (and every night)
I will dream (I will dream)"

This, is the final piece of the puzzle. "And you'll see, what you'll be," is basically Naruto being able to show Sakura what she could be, should she choose him. A life full of happiness and good health, whereas she only gets a life of pain and heartbreak should she continue to chase the affections of Sasuke. "All you can be," goes with this as well.

"And you'll see (and you'll see, yeah) That this is my dream, I will always dream!"

Is Naruto showing Sakura what his dream is, by his actions. Always being there for her, saving her, comforting her, being her rock and foundation on her shaky platform. By doing this, (hopefully), Sakura will FINALLY realize that Naruto really does love and care for her, and will stop being in denial, and realize her feelings for our blonde knuckleheaded shinobi.
"I will dream,"

Simple. Naruto will continue to dream of his absolute dream, and will continue to try and win her over. Sakura, the same. She will continue to dream of her absolute dreams, and try to fix everything.

And this, is my explanation of NaruSaku through Dreams of an Absolution.

Tell me what you think. ^^
