Since people get enough time to catch up with their favorite anime, shows and manga, I decided to start this thread if people are bored out of their minds. If people (I know few) still have a fallout with anime/manga because of Kishimoto or caught up with everything and don't have nothing to read to pass the time, I have some recommendations away from Japanese entertainment/comic industry that might interest you to pass the time.
I noticed that Japanese anime and manga gets all the attention on this forum. I'm surprise that manhwa (Korean Comics) are not recognized on this forum. The only manwa thread I've seen is The Breaker series thread. Granted that majority of manhwa are mediocre comparing manga to them, there are some good reads out there that can even rival Shonen Jumps manga out there that are very underrated.
I will post three that on my top three list give an recommendation. Before I get into that, I will briefly explain what a webtoon is.
But there is a major difference between the usual classic strips and webtoon. A complete story can be foretold in a single panel and up to four panels, so there is no such thing as chapters in a comic strip that is traditionally read horizontally from left to right. Chapters are included in webtoons. A webtoon has only one panel per chapter and it is read vertically from top to bottom. This panel is very large single, vertical strip. There there is something called a "Sub-Panel" that is inserted into the strip (along with dialogue bubbles and monologues) in a bunch.
It could be imagined from a reader's POV trying to descended to a bottom of a tower from the top.
To give an idea what reading a webtoon will be like for first timers, it basically identical to manga websites like Kissmanga upload all the pages of the manga's chapters in one page. You will have to scroll down to get to the next page. Its all the same.
My top three.
No female Lead
No summary given. This is a vampire webtoon.
Release Date: 2008
Final Chapter: 2019
Note: This webtoon is the main source. There is no adaption. However, there is a stand alone Light Novel that does not follow the main story line called Noblesse S.
This was one of the first webtoons that ever got translated to English at Naver in 2014 legally. And it also know as the very first popular webtoon to contend with Shonen Jumps and Kodosha popularity rankings. It got less popular toward its conclusion. But nevertheless, a good read despite the two endings. As I said, no known female leads, just to main male characters. The other calls himself Frankenstein lol.

This is typically your dungeon hunter and MMORGP genre stories like Sword Art Online with your average underrated weak male MC that becomes OP. Very excited universe to explore and good characters. This webtoon is an adaption of a completed Light Novel series. It is something that has the prospect of becoming popular worldwide. I like to give a warning that this is a typical Shonen comic. It has a lot of death flags and gruesome scene that is on par with Attack On Titan. It take it to the limit that it almost can be categorized as Seinen.
#1 Tower of God
Protagonist: The 25th Baam (the short version is Baam)
Alias: Ryu Viole Grace (Name given by Fug)/Viole (Short version)
Female Leads: Rachel (Rahel/Lahel)

Yuri Ha Zahard

Summary: The storyline centers around a boy called Twenty-Fifth Baam, that has spent his life trapped beneath a tower that was mysterious. Chasing after his only friend, as he attempts to locate his company, he manages to open a door to the Tower, and must face challenges at every floor of the cryptic tower.
The Tower is a cryptic construction which is totally enclosed and hosts many surroundings that are exceptional. It's permeated by means of an element called "Shinsoo", which has unusual properties. It's inhabited by many distinct species that was intelligent.
This can be due to ascension from one floor to another being merely permitted by passing challenging tests of dexterity, strength and brain. The 10 leaders and forefathers of the families are known as the 10 Great Warriors, guys of unbelievable power who jointly with Zahard ascended the Tower in the underside to the known top and beyond, and who happen to be kept eternally youthful thanks to the slowed-down effect of time to the larger floors.
Little is known of the source of the Tower. Earliest historical records begin together with the incursion of the 10 Great Warriors as well as Zahard to their ascension as well as the Tower. Nevertheless, it's important to see that previous to their own coming, the floors that were distinct were populated with individuals indigenous to them. Likewise, 'Protectors', intelligent although grotesque creatures who created the ascension evaluations for every floor pre-date and Zahard and maybe have existed because the creation of the tower.
Each floor is made up of three layers: an Inner Tower where Regulars are examined an outside Outer Tower which functions as the residential area, as well as a Middle Area, which functions as a network linking each floor. Such individuals are called "Chosen Regulars".
The Tower is sealed from your vast, unknown "Outside" by portentous, impenetrable doors. Nevertheless, from time to time, outstanding individuals, including the 10 Great Warriors, are in a position to open the doors (presumably permitted by the Tower's own will) and enter in. Just 5 Irregulars have entered the Tower in its long history since the ascension of Zahard.

This webtoon is very popular that it currently rivals Shonen Jumps and Kadosha manga as of now that it got its anime adaption last month. I'm very positive you guys see this wetboon a lot on social media and the inter when reading manga with all the hype and advertisement
Getting into this series will be a 50 to 50% chance that new readers will not continue on past chapter 70. The art, slow pace and exposition from the start will be too much for new starters. However, I guarantee once people reach the conclusion of season 1 and the start of season will be priceless. This type of story has a dungeon crawler Role Playing Game vibe to it that the main purpose is to climb up the floor and clear the test. The higher you climb. The stronger you get, but the same came be said up the difficulty rising.
Different types of races. Overall, the characters that climbs the tower Baam are top notch. The most favorite non-human side character is an humanoid alligator named Rak. Another thing I will note that ToG does have some Naruto reference with the three men cell teams and relationship (bromance obsession) between Baam and Rachel. Baam has the Stock Holmes Syndrome when interacting with Rachel. ToG has its downfalls such as murderous character being brought into a good light and how one of the two main female leads treated Baam and the other side characters that gets in her way. Further explaining will spoiler it for the new readers.
Last thing I will note, as of 2010, Sakura Haruno and Rachel are "presumably" the most hated female fictional characters in all of Asia in the past decade worldwide. The majority of the negative fans response are directed towards Rachel's character. Although ever since Naruto manga ended, no one rally cares about Sakura other than the SasuSaku fans. I don't see the Sakura hate as of now that I've seen in the past. Rachel is the character that is getting flamed on by the fans. That's what top notch popularity comics such as Naruto and ToG will due to certain characters to be hated by fans.
There's major disparity between the two. The Sakura Haruno hate is due to fan service, wishful fulfillment and poor writing on Kishi. The Rachel hate is orchestrated for the sake of suspense and portraying of a villainous female to its glory. Before chapter 700 of Naruto, Sakura doesn't even deserve half the hate as Rachel.
That's about it. My top three webtoons.
