I don't know if I'm in the right place but I'll ask anyway.

I decide to do some fanart again ( it been almost 10 years since my last drawing) but I would like to get more serious and do art with a special program so that I could scan my drawing and make it something like ladygt93

For those who doesn't know who is ladygt93 --Click here to view--

I want to do mainly manga fanart for now, I would prefer to have it free but I can buy it if it's good ( not much, I want to do it for my personal interest, not for professional use). I also would like it simple, I hate to search a tool for too long.

That about it so I'm asking the community of astist here to help me find what I'm looking for.

I do too, I actually did one NS fanart for the summer contest but there are other entry that use drawing program and I got a little jealous because there are very good biggrin.gif

As for the program, I did heard of it, but I wanted to know if I could have other possibilities

Anyway, thank you Shippu-chan for the suggestion happy.gif

Photoshop or the GIMP work fine too.

GIMP's free, pretty easy to use from what I hear.

Looks like LadyGT is using paths - but I'm not looking very closely, mind - and that would be photoshop. Most versions from 7 up through CS have paths.

I don't have GIMP, so I can't tell you if GIMP has an equivalent.

Hi! I'd suggest GIMP or paint.net ,they're both free and similar to photoshop, especially GIMP
Sooo,if you want a simple drawing program without having to search a lot, I'd say that GIMP is a good choice!
Moving to a more advanced level, there are photoshop, corel painter which are REALLY expensive(and hard to find)!! XD

Yeah, I chose GIMP and, so far, I really like it. Thank for your reply LadyCupcake-chan happy.gif

As I have found my answer, I would request to close this thread. Thank you.

I'd definitely say GIMP, it's free and at first a little hard to use, but once you get the hang of it, it's an awesome program. biggrin.gif
