Add to the fact that he was working on KH3 concurrently with FFVII R, which he's still working on(along with DLC for KH3). SE put a lot on his shoulders and didn't make it easy for him

At least he didn't cave into fan pressure unlike a certain writer we know.

Or how Sora got mad at Riku during their race in KH1 when Riku said that if he won, he'd share a paopu with Kairi. If a Paopu symbolizes eternal friendship, he wouldn't be upset over the thought since they're both his best friends. Never mind the cave drawing.

That actually makes sense. And yes those scenes with Boo makes me hope that when he does have kids, he would be a better father than Naruto.

That Xehanort being redeemed felt like Obito? I think he should have died without redemption because he deserved it. Also I wish the final battle had Kairi and Riku join Donald and Goofy to fight Xehanort.

It wasn't a matter of redemption but him conceding to Sora that he was wrong and surrendering. No one, verbally or otherwise, forgave his actions. As for the Xehanort battle,
I partially wanted to see Sora fight Xehanort on his own when we got to the X-Blade segment, only for them to appear during the beam clash to offer Sora spiritual support via power of their hearts to give him the boost to overwhelm Xehanort.
