I don't know when the vote is but it's not any time soon. It's definitely a possibility and people have reason to be afraid.

 

Republicans will try to pass it, some because they agree others just because they want to repeal Obamacare.

I don't get why rape is now a preexisting condition?

I thought that was diagnosises you got before you bought the insurance. Not only does it make would-be rapists do whatever the f they want because victims wouldn't tell authority in order to keep their insurance, but there's just no logic?? (Also I'm a bit confused because people are ranting on twitter because if something happens to them they'll lose their insurance, but shouldn't the only consequence be that the hospital bill won't cover it)

I know it's not law yet but I just understand nothing now

Well this time it doesn't appear to be a repeat of what happened with the USA elections (even though I don't really blame the Russian hack as the main thing for Hillary's Loss) as Macron is now the new French President defeating Le Pen of the Far right National Front party. http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-39839349

Le Pen would've been able to stop terrorist truck attacks with her anti-immigration policy, but since Macron aka the french Merkel is president now, the trucks are unstoppable in muslim hands

The meme is pretty straight forward. I never said he was a copy of her (or anything at all for that matter; thought you'd get the context but meh). They are both centrists-ish though, yes.

 

The image is implying that Macron is young, with him being only 39 years old, and therefore has a lot to learn still, compared to other EU leaders. So Merkel—an older, and a far more politically experienced woman—will be "in charge" of the French/EU's fight against terrorism that has run rampant there. She'll basically "baby" him when it comes to that category. And probably many more subjects to come. It's as Le Pen said herself: "France will be led by a woman: either me or Madame Merkel." Imo, Germany (a powerful G8 country) is now the new "America" of the EU since Britain pulled out.

 

Anyways, congrats to Mr. Macron. He has a good amount of economic experience under his belt, being the former Minister of Finance in France, so it'll give citizens a peace of mind that he'll surely help his country relieve the massive unemployment rates that's been plaguing them there for a while.

 

Also a major congrats to French citizens as well, who can still maintain the right to laugh at America's own kittened up government.

Yes, copy would be the wrong word to say abput that meme. I sort of meshed together one reply to your and alexander's post(which I still don't see how it is like that btw), because they both seemed anti Macron to me. I might reply to the rest tomorrow.

Nah, just poking fun at him. But it's true: Macron still has some catching up to do with his elder colleagues. As far as counter-terrorism measures go, Macron needs to hold Merkel's hand on that one. I support him though, he seems like a trustworthy guy.
