Maybe they got the date wrong and overshot 2 years or maybe it's going to be a slow build up until the death star blows the world up in 2012!!!!!!!!

I just think everything's connected.
Ring of Fire earthquake zone. There's a theory that due to plate tectonics a severe earthquake in one place can trigger one elsewhere- especially along the same plate. I tend to believe that theory.
I figure it might trigger another one somewhere within the week along that zone, with a 7.3 and 8.8 along that zone though, hopefully that's released enough pressure that any others along that zone will be a lot weaker- like a 5 or 6 or something less. I'm slightly worried it might trigger one along the west coast of the US or Canada.

It could happen! The Canary Islands could actually create a larger, powerful tsunami then most, called a Mega Tsunami. It would create an initial height of 1,000 meters, and when it reaches North America and the Caribbean, its height would be approximately fifty meters.
