I'm just sick of the déus ex machinas every freaking time, zahedan cannot just get by a simple tornado of new airbenders? The posion just happened to be metal? How the hell did they know this?

The action and fight was good and jinora getting her tattoo was good.

I liked the deaths of the other 3 villians, the combustion woman getting her head blown off by the metal armor blocking her, I loved mako when he shocked the water bending Azula since that was grey delise voicing her. Though that was kinda a cheap fight, so much water and mako has lightning, well I think that was in favor if mako. And now bolin is a lava bender, that was not bad but we didn't see much.

But god every situation they always get out with some cheap event. Can these guys make an ending without a cheap ending?

I don't give flak to the siege of the north, that was the first time and usually the first is the one people can let slide, they didn't do this with season 2 when aang was wounded and healed by the spirit water, you knew katara was saving it for an emergency all season.

But korra, 3 strings of asspulls in 3 seasons. Getting it all back when meeting aang a, jinora getting raava out, and now this stuff with the posion just happening to be metal based with no inference to it. I dealt with kishis asspulls but come on, how can these guys manage not make a situation without resorting to déus ex machinas, yeah I think korra should end next season, I feel the quality if the show has finally started to decline for the show. Maybe end it after next season and start an earth series in the future.

The finale wasn't bad. I truly sat at the edge of my seat. Some things thou;

Mako should have used lightning sooner. They just spared it so it would be a dramatic last solution. But nah, no big deal.

I just didn't like the moments right after Zaheer was defeated. It reminded me of a Scooby Doo episode. He started revealing his plans, if he'd kept quiet about the poison he might have still won.(Edit; Ok, forgot that Jinora knew about the poison. But Zaheer didn't know that she knew, so..XD) I thought he was smarter than that. It's typical, when the villain is defeated, they turn OOC, into some reckless, pathetic, and low-life being.

The wheel-chair was great tho. While Korra was fighting and falling down those mountains, I was thinking I can't imagine how many bones and ribs she is breaking. It makes sense, what I like about avatar is that the characters are not OP.

Did I ever say I hated the series? No I like it, but after 3 seasons with just sudden cop out events, it kinda ruins everything they had going with the finale.

I just find some of this anticlimactic, I thought zaheer would be some better philosophical villian with reason behind everything, but when you get back to it, his vision is just kill the avatar off for good, let anarchy rule, etc. I thought his deal with the airbender guru would be something more than just floating, like some kind of transcendence, I thought they had a plan nessessary for korra, not to simply kill her. I thought some ritual like some spirit event or lost airbender technique but no, it's really just zaheer isn't some notable villian, just a run if the milk we kill to cause chaos type villian.

Only thing that's curious is the other members of the red lotus but yeah this stuff isn't as exciting as it once was.

I mean in enjoyed the original series more but things kinda just seem crammed in these shorter seasons and events, I know the writers try their best but honestly, this is a bit much now,

I enjoyed the finale. For those of y'all who are complaining, stop taking a cartoon so seriously.

I also enjoyed it. For a while I was a bit bored with it but re-watched it and realized they've just spoiled us with epic endings so one that is quieter and more somber was a nice change of pace. I'm not a big fan of "it's just a cartoon," or "it's just for kids" reasoning, because that implies that the quality or themes/morales of animated materials don't hold or need to be held up with live-action standards which I find is just simply not always the case.

Anyway, I'm a fan of season 3, it's almost on par with season 1, and when I rewatched season 2 it wasn't as bad as I remembered.

As far as the deus ex machina thing, I'll have to rewatch it again, but Jinora knowing the poison is metal based seemed to come out of nowhere. But I will say that even though she's alive because of it, she's still not 100%. It'll be interesting to see what her struggles with the aftereffects of the poison are in season 4.

I have a question, will people fear the Air nation becoming a police state in season 4? Jinora has a lot on her shoulders now.

My husband and I were very pleased with the finale. I was thrilled when Bolin lava bended!! Omg I was so proud of him :3 and when Korra went on rampage I swear I held my breath at times. The way she is in the end really gave me the feels, but she has book 4 to get better. Jinora so looks like Aang now, and I don't think people will fear them especially with Jinora and Tenzin being the ones in charge of everyone.

Finally caught up on this season and just finished watching the finale. I think this season was better than the previous one and I enjoyed it, my only real issue is that I think Zaheer could have been a better villain than he was. Someone who would challenge Korra on a philosophical level, but in the end he was really just a self-righteous thug. Bit of a let down, but oh well.

And Jinora, I really like her, and she looked so much like Aang with her tattoos that it was a little nostalgic. It'll be interesting to see how her role changes in the next season now that she'll have more responsibility on her shoulders.

I forgot to say, the animation was amazing. :D

oh and by the way, "Venom of the Red Lotus" is officially the highest rated Korra episode on IMDB. It got a 10/10. woohoo!

5 questions...(I've only watch bits and pieces so if someone can enlighten me)

1) how can Korra go into the avatar state? Isn't the avatar state a collection of past avatar's skills?? She destroyed all her connections last season.

2) what's up with the metal poison??? How the heck did they have a poison that makes avatars go into the avatar state????

3) why can't Korra use her legs toward the end?? is it because of the poison? The poison also entered her arms so why can she still use her arms?

4) If the evil guys were known to each be able to take down a whole army why are they beaten so easily?? The evil lava dude kills himself by caving in the whole area with lava....but all Bolin and Mako had to do was earth side step to escape.

5) Why did the evil dudes kill the earth queen?? Did they want to kill all the nation leaders?? Why did they stop at the earth queen then?

well, she was present when the poison was applied. My guess is that she recognized the bending 'style' or form that was used to apply it.

1. They don't go into it to much but I think that her avatar state was a last resort to ensure she doesn't die. She didn't talk like avatars usually do when they go into that state. For Korra her avatar state was just there to make sure she doesn't die, at least that's what I think.

2. It's not the fact that it was metal, nor was it a special poison that would cause her to go into the avatar state. All it was was poison and since she couldn't bend the platinum chains that had her bond she would slowly die which would trigger her emergency avatar state.

3.I would think it's because your legs do more work then your arms do. Either her legs are extremely weak to the point where she can't support her own weight or she's paralyzed, well just have to wait for book 4

4.These guys were OP for most of the season, and every time team avatar ran into them they got their asses kicked. The Lava guy let his anger and frustration get to him so that was in demise in the end. I would have liked it to more dramatic but meh.

5. The Earth queen was one hell of an evil women, but she was killed because the red lotus didnt believe in kings, queens, and any ruler for that matter. They wanted original world order and chaos to ensue and that was going to happen by killing the Earth queen. Yes they were going to get rid of everyone else but they wanted the Avatar first.

1) how can Korra go into the avatar state? Isn't the avatar state a collection of past avatar's skills?? She destroyed all her connections last season.

The past lives were connected to the avatar state, but it's origin is simply the connection between Brava and the Avatar. If this were not true, Wan would never have been able to be the first Avatar since there were no past live connections there. I believe Vahtu destroyed the connection but he did not destroy Brava so the Avatar state is still intact but the past lives are not.

2) what's up with the metal poison??? How the heck did they have a poison that makes avatars go into the avatar state????

Like konohakitten said, it was just a regular poison with a metal base.

3) why can't Korra use her legs toward the end?? is it because of the poison? The poison also entered her arms so why can she still use her arms?

I think it was a combination of the poison and the super fall from high up. Probably tons of broken bones there,  not to mention when the poison was removed they started with her feet, and metal is pretty heavy so maybe it settled more in the lower portions of her body. All conjecture but these are my thoughts on it.

4) If the evil guys were known to each be able to take down a whole army why are they beaten so easily?? The evil lava dude kills himself by caving in the whole area with lava....but all Bolin and Mako had to do was earth side step to escape.

P'yi's death was pretty ingenius, I'm curious why no one ever used lightning bending  on the Ming-Hua but the second he choose to fight her, I knew that was going to be the answer. As far as Ghazan is concerned, often times we see villains who are used to having an advantage have that advantage taken away, then they basically panic and go into meltdown mode (destroying a base).

5) Why did the evil dudes kill the earth queen?? Did they want to kill all the nation leaders?? Why did they stop at the earth queen then?

I think she was an example  and kind of what the Red Lotus hated most about any hierarchy system.
