I wonder..did Naruto really die? Cuz that girl had to use a special technique, but why didn't his hair turn white? Know he's only part Uzumaki, but still. dry.gif

Nagato's hair changed color because he used all of his remaining chakra

Maybe, but it's stated that when Uzumaki's dies, the hair turns white because of the enormous amount of energy.

Agreed. I've never felt so annoyed by a Naruto movie before. In my eyes this is the worse one. Awful. I spit on it. First of all, this was not a Naruto movie. It felt like a premise for an anime movie that couldn't get green-lit so the writer decided to plug in Naruto to sell the story to the studio. Secondly, on purpose or not, if this was canon, none of these people would've deserved to call themselves Naruto's friends/comrades after this. I would understand tricking him to keep him safe but to trick him, knowing he could've been tortured then making light of the situation after you break his heart and he's carted out of the room is just sick. Even if it was for "comedic effect". Secondly the attempt to make Mui a sympathetic character in the last quarter of the film: EEEEEEEEH! Fail! Seriously. Immortal fail! He didn't seem to be under any duress or sorrow for sending his son into the box in the first place. He deserved what Muku did to him after he got out. More. Why is Tsunade there? Why is Konoha the only ones there if it's a joint Cloud-Leaf endeavor? Why is Tsunade not the one healing Ryuuzetsu if she's the one in mortal danger? Instead that's assigned to Sakura. Isn't Tsunade still a better medical ninja than Sakura? After Muku is defeated WHY DO THEY ALL LEAVE TO CATCH A FEW CRIMINALS KNOWING THAT NARUTO'S BEEN IMPALED? WTF!

Yeah, I'm raging. Sorry, I shouldn't take this movie seriously since it's not canon anyway but I really really felt the need to vent my anger. Hey, writers, sick.gif :pukeonyou: blowup.gif

Kishi himself wrote a novel that this movie is based off of. Studio Pierrot horribly distorted the entire movie, they omitted a lot of NS stuff, like Sakura was more hysterical in the novel when he was sent to prison and when she was trying to close that gaping hole in chest that nobody seemed to care about in the movie and they wouldn't depict the scene I posted below. Also, Sakura was the one who gave Naruto his headband back in the novel as opposed to Tsunade in the movie.

They say the novel is sooooo much better. It also heard that Kishi was NOT happy with this movie. It would also explain why he's doing this newest movie himself instead of Studio Pierrot. th_7eyytubokky7rehok1k.gif

Kishi wrote a Naruto novel? Is there a site that lists the differences? Cause I'm still disappointed since this felt like it almost had nothing to do with Naruto. Like Naruto was simply the MacGuffin of the movie with Mui/Ryuuzetsu being the actual protagonists. If Kishi tried to 180 us on Mui without him showing an ounce of remorse when he first sacrifices his son, shame on him. But now I'm curious.

Also. MOAR NARUSAKU!

I'm actually glad that they showed Sakura being upset (despite the fact that she uncharacteristically left him to die initially and is completely unworried about what will happen to him in prison) as opposed to the first Shippuden movie where she's okay with Naruto being predicted to die and having no reaction.

You know it will be awesome if next year Kishi makes the Blood Prison movie based on the novel I honestly didn't like Pierot's version those guys are neutral in pairings although they're big time Hinata fan boys.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a sec and say that they did show her devastated at his funeral and it could be argued that it seemed like she had no reaction because she didn't believe he was actually going to die.

it explains nothing.
90% of the shipp movies were bad.
Kishimoto is involved in this movie because blood prison "sucked".
so they pay a large amount of money to kishi make the movie instead of the calling another person to make the script.
No one makes things for free or because someome change the novel.

Look at kururama , do u think kururama is doing the saint seyia omega?

he allowed that heresy because they paid a large amount of money.

So I finally got around to watching this movie and overall I liked it. I will say though that, for most of the movie, I was furious at Tsunade, Kakashi and Yamato for letting Naruto go that easily. Something about Tsunade taking away Naruto's headband just really disturebed me. Tsunade almost seemed happy to just throw Naruto to the lions. The fact that it was later revealed to all be part of their plan didn't really bother me that much, other than the fact that it was pretty risky.

However, I liked the prison setting. It had a very "authentic" feel to it, what with the ruthless nature of the prison personnel and all. I really felt like this a place where they send the worst of the worst to die.

I also liked all the OC's. Mui's was pretty believeable as the cold and stoic commander type. It seems some people didn't buy Pierrot's attemps to make him seem more symphathetic towards the end, but I must say, I felt it was a great twist, albeit a very obvious one. The idea is pretty much that Mui used to be the type who would do anything for the sake of his village, even if it meant sacrificing his own son. However, he later discovered that that will only lead to hollowness and that glory and power by itself is nothing. Perhaps they should have shown a scene of Mui undergoing this shift in character in order for people to better emphasize with him.

Ryuuzetsu was also pretty cool. I liked that she wasn't a "princess type", because honestly, it's getting a bit old by now. She was strong and independent, but also very emotional and "weak". In that regard she kind off reminds of Sakura. wink.gif Oh and I also liked her design, especially when she had her hair down. happy.gif

Then there's Maroi, the Han Solo-esque anti hero. Pretty cool guy. At first he seemed like he was going to eventually betray Naruto, but I'm glad he didn't.

Then there's Muku. This is the only character that I have a slight problem with. I don't quite understand what his deal is. It's pretty obvious that when Mui freed him from the box, that he had become corrupted by the box's power. However, I'm not sure if it was him or that Satori creature talking most of the time. The line about obtaining true power by reading other people's fear seemed to suggest that he had indeed become drunk with power while inside the box, but his initial reunion with his father seems to suggest that he was possessed by Satori.

Speaking of re-unions. What the hell was up with Mui and Muku's final moment together. After Mui used the Tenrou on Muku, it seemed like he had finally gotten rid of the box's influence, but then he just had to get one last attack in on Mui before finally killing himself. To me, this just seems like a convenient way to get Mui out of the way and then again, having both Ryuuzetsu and Muku die, but not Mui would be a pretty crappy ending, seeing as most of this is his fault at the end.

Lastly, I would like to say that Tsunade, Yamato, Kakashi, Gai and the K11's debut was a welcome gesture. It was nice that everyone got at least one chance to shine, although I would have liked to see Tsuande get some fight scenes as well, maybe even a combo attack with Sakura. cool.gif

Oh and about the omitted NS scene. For shame Pierrot! For shame!. I don't really mind that it wasn't there, since as long as the movie kept the somewhat entertained that's all I really care about. A little fan service is nice, but it's not the sole reason why I follow this series. Still, the fact that they chose to leave out this particular scene. I mean why? It's not like you guys haven't given us NS fan service before? Oh well, in the end it's only a minor detail.

And then there's the OVA...

Once again, I liked the setting. Have the Wind Country be the setting of a chunin exam has been something I've been wanting to see for some time now. I always imagined that Sakura took her chunin exam in the Wind Country. The animation was also nice, but I didn't like how Sakura was basically publicly humilated for trying to help Naruto and then of couse, Konohamaru winning because Naruto wasn't allowed to use Sage Mode. Like Dovahkiin said, they should totally have taken his chunin west away at the end because it's obvious that he doesn't have the skills or the mind set to be a chunin yet. That and he's not even a chunin in canon.
