So the guy claims he can't write romance. Then WTF is this???

I wish we had that moment where Kishi can talk freely and admit the truth that he wasn't allowed to write the romance that he wanted between Naruto and Sakura.

The fact is that no one put a gun to his head. It was his intellectual property. He had years to go back on agreeing to sabotage the pairings (if that was indeed what happened...) Then he had years afterwards to admit or at least acknowledge that that was what happened. So he has had multiple years in which he could've reneged and then he had years in which he could have gotten some respect back by admitting his mistake. Again it's his intellectual property. In the end there is just no way that it could have been that important to him.

I would definitely feel sympathy for Kishi if that was the case but I've never seen anything suggesting that it was. And even if it was they would not be able to control him speaking about it. But it's clearly not in his character to rock the boat... and this is putting it mildly. It just seems to be the way he is. Unlike for instance Kubo who was stubborn about Orihime.

This might be me, but this 5 year hiatus that Kishi took from the time Naruto ended to when Samurai 8 launched in Jump might actually be pretty beneficial for him. 

 

For 1 he talked about this sci-fi series back in January 2015 when it was still just a basic idea, and he could've just rolled with it and said okay I got an idea for my next series lets do it but that didn't happen. I'm beginning to have the impression that unlike with Naruto, Kishi actually took the time and planned out how the story was going to be handled along with the character arcs. I mean we have heard a couple times that there are things that he did in Naruto that he regrets doing such as the love triangle drama, and developing the characters properly, or foreshadowing events that would come within the series. I know in one of the interviews he admitted that he didn't exactly plan out the story of Naruto, and he probably regrets that decision. 

 

I mean it's like I said earlier this doesn't make up for how bad Naruto's story got especially with the romantic subplot, but so far 39 chapters in it does feels like he took all those criticisms for Naruto and applied it well with this new series.  Some people have said that the story is still too early for us to judge how Kishi will handle this moving forward which is indeed true however he's really hoping this doesn't end up being like Naruto where things just get dragged out, About 10 Volumes is how long he sees the series lasting which if we look right now we're almost done with Volume 4 (3 more chapters until it is complete), but we'll see how things go when we get closer to Volume 8. 

 

Another key thing to keep in mind is that the scenario here compared to Naruto is that Kishi was writing the series and drawing it at the same time which after some point really wore him out obviously. However, he is solely writing the series with Samurai 8 while his former assistant Okubo is doing the art for the series.

Another thing too is that some creators in Japan don't draw manga they work on, some just do writing while others do the art. Look at stuff like Death Note as a good example. Or the One-Punch Man remake that isn't the webcomic version. And sometimes it's easier when one person works on story, and the other does art. Seems that the story stuff is better for Kishimoto, as well as the time he took off after Naruto ended, as well as his not giving two ***** about it anymore really, even as an "advisor" on Boruto, and how the others on it are ruining the Naruto franchise just to prop themselves up it feels like.

to be honest, I personally think that Kishi is an amazing artist. He can do both, but he should probably think about self publishing from here on out, if he wants to do his stories, his way. Especially if he ever plans on re-doing Naruto the way he wanted it to be done.

Yes but that runs the risk of having NH from beginning and Sakura being ruined more it's why I'm worried if Naruto gets remade.

I believe if it was up to Kishi himself, NH would never happen, and Sakura-Chan and Naruto would happen, we would probably see more of her fights, her showing the amazing Kunoichi she is, etc.

If he did, he should do something like Mortal Kombat 9 and Soulcalibur 6 did, but also make sure to fix the mistakes made in the last attempts but Id be worried too.

Illnevergiveup3 is correct. That would never happen. NH basically happened as a result of Kishi being scammed. SS is a little less fraudulent but he didn't want that either.

Kishi wanted NS to happen. He was scammed into making NH canon via, people will love the story more, you will get more money to go this route, etc. instead of going the way he intended it to go.

And it didn't help too that he was also dealing with his dad's death when this happened, and feeling burnt out working on Naruto overall....

Who loves it besides the NH shippers? Even when you take out the terrible couples, the ending overall was trash.
