My PS3 won't accept game discs

I try putting in my games but it refuses to accept them.\

Try searching videos on YT to see if you can find a solution. I"m sure many owners encountered the same problem as you have.

 

If that doesn't fix your issue, I think it just might be a sign for you to move on. Ps4 is calling your name. I only upgraded my 360 to the X1 once it stopped working. A few years later I bought another 360 for 90$! Dirt cheap, I know.  :woot:

How did you fix it? Was it a simple matter of using a disk cleaner or something else? PS3 use proprietary connectors so it's not easy to replace the drives if something goes wrong.

 

Though it might be time to think about upgrading, I expect with the announcement of the PS4 Neo on Tuesday and the release of the PS4 Slim, older PS4 units should be relatively cheap to pick up second hand.

I pressed the eject button for about 6 seconds and it's accepting disks now.
