Eh, I'm burnt out on MCU now. Endgame was a good ending despite its problems. We don't need anymore.

Yes.

At Comic-Con when they announced all the upcoming shows and movies, it didn't even get any excitement from me.

After Endgame, everything just fizzled out, I mean saw Spider-Man Far From Home and I was like meh. And now out of all the upcoming shows and movies the only one I'm somewhat interested in seeing is Doctor Strange.

The rest? I just don't care. Next year we have finally a Black Widow movie ........ after they killed her. They already confirmed it takes place before Endgame. The tv shows? Not interested in Bucky, Falcon and WandaVision (stupid name), then Thor oh God they brought Natalie Portman back who was literally the worst part of those films.

Obviously they are going to make a lot of money, but I doubt it's going to be the same as it was in these last 10+ years since Iron Man jump started the whole of MCU.

Especially when you factor in Disney+ because in order to get the whole picture you have to watch the shows and the movies. Otherwise you're going to be left behind and I don't think people will subscribe to yet another streaming service and waste their money on it and their time just to keep up.

I'll probably only watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Spider-Man 3. Maybe Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness

I AM a bit burnt out on MCU But I will watch most of those movies regardless. TV shows, yeah not bothering with those. tv shows never really add on or even enhance the experience of the movies in my opinion so that's whatever. I mainly feel that these movies won't be as exciting because the way End Game ended felt like the end of an era -_-

Yeah but here's the thing, once Disney+ releases and their Marvel shows get released as well then you have to watch them if you want to follow what's happening in the movies. It's not like it was before with Netflix's Marvel shows where they didn't have any importance at all in the MCU. They didn't matter because while the shows referenced the movies from time to time, the movies never referenced the shows. Those were two completely different separate universes.

Now with the news shows it's all a part of the same universe. The shows influences the movies and the movies influences the shows. It's all connected.

Endgame did pretty much end it. It was called Endgame after all.

I am nervous for the new phase because now they have full reign to push any agenda they want starting with Thor Love and Thunder which, from the way they are describing it, is sounding more like a Nordic lesbian porn. They essentially are going to make a Thor movie that is not really about Thor. At least from the way they are talking about it.

I think it is just going to be a huge circle jerk of "diversity" and "representation" from now on and makes me not care.

They are so concerned about sending agendas than they are wanting to make good stories that they are going to have these characters be nothing more than walking billboards. "Hi, I am that valkyrie chick and I am a lesbian." Okay, so what is your story? "I am a lesbian and looking for a queen." Okay, anything else? "Did I mention I am a lesbian?"

Whenever they talk about these movie, they talk more about representation than they do about "what is next for the MCU?" Even the supposed Black Widow solo movie sounds like they are trying to push an agenda.

One last thing: for those in support of Lady Thor, and I am not saying anything bad if you do, but if you do like the idea...I don't think you can complain about cultural appropriation any more because that is what Lady Thor is. Thor is a male and making Lady Thor with Jane Foster is the definition of cultural appropriation.

Some might say "Why do you always have to make this political, James?"
Well, it is actually not me...it is Disney doing it. I am just responding to it with how I feel. Though admittedly, I am tired of people accusing me of homophobia or racism or even sexism cause I have issues with some of this stuff and to clarify before anyone says something; No, it is NOT about the fact that they are gay that bothers me. It is the fact that they push so hard the fact that they are that these characters have no other defining features or story to them. They are "gay superheroes" not "superheroes who so happen to be gay."

I could not care less about their sexuality, but Marvel needs to stop with agenda pushing. When you have more articles bragging about how Valkryie is the first "Gay Marvel Superhero" rather than what the next movie is going to do overall and move the story to the next bigger villain...there is something very wrong.

Oh I understand. if Someone were not pushing some sort of publicity stunt or political agenda why would they be screaming at the top of their lungs that "his character is LGBT, representing group minorities" etc. like they are SOOOOO progressive. the point isn't to announce to the world that you are "open minded", it is, can you make an interesting character and story?

That's one of the reasons I'm not that interested in this next phase. I'm not interested in someone else's agenda, especially this type.

While I like that more people are getting represented and I'm all for more power to everyone, this type of shoving it in our face is not the right way to do it. And by shoving it in our face I mean they literally go out of their way to tell us what's between their legs and with whom they want to sleep over and over and that's all there is to them.

I know I sound like a broken record by now, but that's exactly what happened to my favorite show The Man In The High Castle after the creator/showrunner was fired and replaced with a moron who just wanted to push his agenda.

The guy retconned two characters just for that reason alone. And it looks like in the final season he's pushing even more crap that literally no one asked for. He not only ruined what made the show unique and special, but also stopped the story entirely to either appeal to a specific demographic who never cared about the show or to tell the viewers of his political stand, both are something no one asked for. And it showed by its cancellation and lost of viewers.

Well then, I 'll see whether or not to continue following MCU. That seems like a hassle lol. :P But it all depends if they can keep things interesting.

I doubt they can.

Oh trust me I've learned this the hard way, any low point can always go lower. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does.
