Bio: Barrett Spence created the Keepers eight years prior to the beginning of Part 2. They were a mercenary group dedicated to one thing - a perfect record. When Barrett's brother, Damion Spence, decided that the life of a human bomb was more important than that record, Barrett set out on a journey in order to kill his brother and the bomb. Those he met on his journey, specifically Ayla Woodard now Ayla Spence, changed the brutish killer into a man worthy of respect. When it came time to kill his brother, Barrett was unable to; the chance snatched from his hands by his ex-fiance, Elissa Potter. Barrett lost his brother to the crazed woman, and in penance promised to protect the bomb, Elizabeth Cartwright, for as long as his body would be allow him.

The Keepers were reborn as an organization meant to protect Elizabeth and her current goals.

She now helps out the others from seven years ago by working with the Keepers and Elizabeth. Evangeline and Piper visit Winfield's grave once every week, to keep herself sane and to make sure her daughter never forgets her father.

Background: Born to parents Adam and Meredith Woodard, she lived a civilian life until she was 19 when a fire killed her family and left her barely alive. She was entered into the ArC project by her father’s good friend and founder of CoreSystems, James Fiske, in an attempt to save her life. Her body successfully accepted the core transplant, and she became the 19th ArC created by CoreSystems.

At the age of 20 she experienced the death of her only friend Gabe, also an ArC, and this event led her to escape CoreSystems altogether. Barrett Spence, who was interested in the core technology, aided in her escape, and she began traveling with him in his pursuit of his brother and the bomb he protected.

She is later pursued by the 20th ArC, Resh, who is ordered to bring her back to CoreSystems. The two eventually begin working together instead, after Ayla stops Resh from destroying the company in a rage. In order to fight against two high level ArC’s, she and Resh achieve the first core link by transplanting a piece of each others core into one another. Because of their link, they are able to communicate across and share their pool of cores.

Down the line, her friendship with Barrett is put to the test when she refuses to help him kill his brother, deciding that she would rather protect the Barrett she was able to build a friendship with than allow him to destroy his heart altogether for the sake of his record. After the end of the Keepers 1 events, Barrett and Ayla begin dating and eventually marry.

Background: Not much is known about Resh’s past before becoming the 20th ArC created by CoreSystems. His original name was Darius. He joined the program to become the first gen2 ArC. During his pre-transplant training, he met a woman named Madelyn who worked at CoreSystems, and fell in love with her. Deciding he wanted to be with her, he quit the ArC program and became engaged.

When an accident killed his fiancé, he became lost in despair and rejoined the ArC program, asking the company to remove his emotions and in doing so, his memories of Madelyn. After completing his mission to bring Ayla back, he was sent on a mission to defeat a super-human created to destroy ArCs. Surviving the mission, Resh realized CoreSystems was trying to get him killed, and he sought out Senka to return his emotions and memories.

Seeing that CoreSystems was responsible for the death of his fiancé, he tried to destroy them, only to be stopped by Ayla. They became friends after this act, and Resh began aiding Barrett as well. Eventually, Resh began to open up, especially to Ayla and Barrett, and decides he can no longer simply live for himself.

Bio: The daughter of General Cartwright and a woman named Abby, Elizabeth was condemned to become a weapon of mass destruction with enough power to knock the Earth off its orbit. At sixteen, two strangers, Damion and Barrett Spence, entered the facility she was contained in to kill her. Damion couldn't perform the deed and took off with her, evading Barrett as they traveled together. Eventually the confrontation came to a head and Damion was killed by Elissa. To honor his memory, Elizabeth decided to use her power to bring the world back to a peaceful state. She appointed Barrett her lead knight and set off to take back the war-ravaged the world. She now owns the title of "Lady Elizabeth." The world is in a state of peace under her guidance.

Bio: Yamato was the illegitimate son of a wealthy man known only as Mr. Rockbell. When Yamato's mother died, he was kicked out of the house and forced to live elsewhere, his half-sister, Trisha Rockbell taking his place. It wasn't soon after joining the Keepers that Senka, fellow mercenary, asked him to take her abilities away. Unable to cope, Yamato left and began atoning by saving people from genetic diseases. It wasn't until another Keeper and friend, Sol, hunted him down that Yamato really began to understand what was important. In a fight on the island prison of Alcatraz, Yamato struck down Sol out of mercy rather than resentment. Yamato returned to the Keepers where he helped defeat Elissa and rekindled his relationship with Senka.

Bio: One of the elite members of former Strategic Terran Research and Weapons Sector Squad 3, he had been involved in every action since 2015. However Squad 3’s remembered now as the duo who saw to the fall of the last government on Earth 7 years ago. To the Keepers, Horrow has been considered dead after seeing him fall to the Empath’s hand. The only people to know the truth are only those who have known him passed the soldier. One his lover, the other two his closest friends who disappeared without a trace.

The thing more dangerous then the power she possesses may be the name that remains hidden. Rumors circulate and die suddenly at the hands of ghosts, without cause or evidence. They die at the hands of the Specter, as do greater threats to her government.

The Specter, the leader of this new Underworld, is the 'late'-Matthew Horrow.

Patrick Harris and Anna Cartwright left to join the Military project Akuma to aid their country, and recently drafted friend Matthew Horrow, in the Third World War. After Anna's removal and isolation due to her powers and her parentage, Designation 42's powers manifested and destroyed Alamos. Out of the ruins and wasteland created came Reaver, a faceless supersoldier with untold potential. Instead of capture Military command chose to unleash him upon the PMU invasion, soon reuniting with Horrow they played a part in the defeat and collapse of their enemy and earning the trust of General Cartwright.

Soon after being redeployed they encounted Barrett Spence and the ArC program, a link to their hidden objective, finding Anna and their friends. Throughout Reaver oversaw the destruction of the old world in his quest to find the woman he loved. It led to confrontations with fellow squads, in distant lands and in places that were previously considered fiction. He completed his goal. However in freeing Anna from her father, Reaver will go down as the man who killed the General that conquered the Earth.

But Cartwright was not finished, even in death. The reappearance of Project 49, a teleporter capable of light-speed travel, signaled a final piece in the General's plan for the fate of humanity that had been hidden. Reaver/Patrick Harris went to that place and has not been seen since. Following his disappearance others began to disappear, rumors swirl and stories speculate as to where he had gone. Perhaps the hints were in the technological revolution that has taken place, still some seek answers. Where had he gone, and why?

Bio: Skadi is an informant most of the time, and occasionally, an assassin. She is very good at her job, which is to run the Keepers' information network when she's not doing jobs for Elizabeth. If anyone has a secret, she usually knows what it is. Dragged into what she calls 'end of the world bullshit' by one Barrett Spence, somehow surviving that last battle with empath, Skadi often wonders how she's still alive.

She also works for Matthew Horrow, presumed dead by many and more. What she does for him differs greatly from what she does for Elizabeth, but Skadi has never been a stranger to a messy job or two.

Bio: Senka became one of the Keepers shortly after Barrett created the group, making her one of the only three left alive after the events seven years ago. She takes her responsibilities very seriously. She hasn't changed all that much in nearly a decade, though Senka has tried to make an effort to connect to people. Even if it's only with one or two people. She doesn't feel anymore human than she claims she is, especially after what she did to Elissa.

It was deserved, but Senka lost control in that instant, and the battle was nearly lost because of it.

She's worked on her control of those abilities, at the same time expanding what she can do over it, vowing to never lose control like that again. Senka doesn't think she's needed all that much anymore, but she does what she can, and what she is ordered to do.

General Cartwright had planned and anticipated a great many things on his path. However he did not plan on his daughter becoming involved. Anna was his only child from a marriage to a fellow military officer, but Marida became terrified by the ambition and potential of William, taking herself and Anna away to the hometown of Harris' and Horrow's. The then Colonel and returning Middle East Veteran tracked down his ex-wife seeking to gain a relationship with his only child. Marida solved this by making Anna stay with her neighbors the Harris'. When war broke out and Matt was drafted she quickly joined the fledgling supersoldier program with her friend Patrick. It was after recieving her powers and detailed reports of progress, now General Cartwright found her.

It would take another 4 years before her friends freed her from constant imprisonment. Discovering new ones even in the most confined spaces.

Following the battle with Elissa she and Reaver disappeared with project 49 hoping to end her father's dark legacy once and for all. But within 7 years the public discovered her parentage and became a assumed pariah overnight. To those who know her she shares many traits, but the relationship between father and daughter was much more complicated in reality. Still some elements, still reeling from wars and conquests are paranoid of a possible revival of a father passing a legacy through children. She continues to live as she always had either way, refusing to lose to anything as she always has, dead or alive.

He is very protective of his little sister due always being with her.

After Ayla, Resh, and Barrett assaulted CoreSystems, shutting it down for good and freeing the ArC’s, he kept the ArC safely hidden away. Over time, he and the other ArC’s helped those who had been emotionally stunted to regain their true personalities.

Later, he built a new facility for the ArC’s to live and train together, as well as a place for him to work on new projects. James named it CORE, which stands for Center for Organized Reestablished Energy research. It is one of the most intensely guarded facilities in the world.

Bio: The Leader of Squad 2, he is a cold and calculating soldier being groomed for a greater leadership role. He usually prefers logistics to getting his hands dirty. But if he has to most super soldiers probably don’t want to get within 100 feet of him. Anything a super soldier could do, he could send back. After the wars and the conflicts, the man named Gibraltar found himself retiring after years of service and his 'hunting' practice.

Unlike others in his ranks and other major parts of STRAWS or other nation's programs he opened a series of businesses in the intact cities of Asia and Europe, though his properties have mysterious orgins in financing, while many have become popular destinations, some draw unique crowds. Of those, some are rumored to aid the mysterious underworld.

After Squad 2's aid in the Empath's fall and the war efforts she is routinely seen as a psycologist for super soldiers and those affected by war, but many insiders believe that this is just a cover for a new secret program and her former commander.

He also is given control of the currents and tide when in contact with the element he thrives in. It has long been rumored that his DNA has given him the ability to speak to the Chondrichthyes class of the animal kingdom.

Since the end of the war he's been seen patrolling the Carribean and the major coastlines, keeping tabs on the sea.

Since then she has studied in Europe, earning a Medical Doctorate while maintaining the reputation of one of the greatest light combat soldier/assassins on the planet.

After Elissa's fall and the Military's when the squad went their seperate ways she disappeared, as most STRAWS have previously.

Bio: Rune Fraust was once a light-hearted and cheerful husband and father, until his family became collateral damage in the wake of Elissa’s destruction while he was away on a covert operation. From that day forward, Rune swore a blood vow- he would trust no one, love no one, and forever despise any and all super-soldiers- no matter their innocence. An already trained martial artist and weapons specialist, Rune also swore he would never use another weapon that could cause collateral damage again.

Bio: Mozez is the patriarch of the Grimshaw family, head of GXT Oil, and served as board member of over 30 influential corporations prior to the world collapse. Among these were CoreSystems, as well as one of its initial competitors. He also had connections to the military, several of the former world powers, and seems to have connections with the current world government.
Over his lengthy and lucrative career, Mozez has taken several dozen women as wives. In essence, however, none of these women seem to have had any significant role beyond bearing children for his vast dynasty. Having fathered over 50 children, he has them raised and indoctrinated into treating him as a living god, and demands nothing less than worship from this small army of offspring.
However, rumors have recently abounded of Mozez' age affecting his ability to govern his massive empire, despite the liberal use of anti-aging technology gifting him with his youthful appearance. Could he possibly be looking for a successor?
