As much as I would like to think that, they do not go out with each other, but they do have a much more adult-like relationship then they did 3 years ago.

This should've been put in the Ich Icha Narusaku section in the naruto general subforums, but other than that, no, Naruto and Sakura didn't go out, they were about to until Shikamaru and Temari walked by on a "not-date" and Naruto and Sakura ended up eating with them.

However the good news is that Sakura no longer rejects Naruto's proposal for dates. However Naruto didnt eat with Sakura, Shikamaru, & Temari instead it was Iruka.

Anyway although I didn't get too far in the anime, I think Hopestar is right. Uzumaki-san probably got that from Desaix story "Training for the Job"
My version of what might happen if Naruto asked Sakura on a date:
I personally think that when Naruto would take a break from training, he might occasionally ask Sakura to go out on a date with him. She's look a bit hesitent but then give him a smile and say yes. Then they'd probably just eat some ramen, and just chat about how life was during the 2 and 1/2 years. Afterwards the two would just say goodbye and go upon their training again.

Well, that might have happened a while ago, but with the recent developments in the manga other things are bound to come up. Especially now, since Akatsuki is after Naruto. Unfortunately, things are no longer mundane in the Naruto world, and simple dates can no longer occur. (For the moment, of course.)

Though they didn't end up dating, the thing was that there was a good chance of there being one. I honestly think that when the anime reaches that point, there will be a (filler) date.

You know, a filler date would be nice. Plenty of room for humor and fluff. That is an episode I would commit to memory.

Akano Kin- I agree. They've already done enough NaruXHina implied fillers to make me barf. A nice bit of NaruXSaku would be coveted by me.

I also agree. I would probably end up memorizing that episode, then getting still frames of moments I like.
Then make some wallpapers out of them.

Just to put it out there to everyone, I don't hate NaruXHina, but honestly it gets old quick. (I feel wicked bad though because Hinata's so nice and she's just trying her best.
