[Onionhead Attacks]

200-250 would probably be enough to finish Shippuden. I hope Kishi is going to make a Part 3 or something like that next generation thing. Naruto has gone on for so long that it doesn't seem like it's going to finish. Keeps me hooked and motivated! It is the best manga and anime I've ever come across - think it's the longest, too.

I hope the story goes on for a bit longer because I'm a fanfiction writer and having the end of the plot announced will stump a lot of plot bunnies and people's acceptance of things since they already know the ending...

Like PB said, 200-250 sounds pretty good. Though I must say that knowing the end isn't too bad in some cases aka all those time-traveling fics that have been building up. And since I'm still thinking about writing one, it'd really help because I don't want to make some BS ending that isn't even all that good but at the same time spice it up and make it better.

I'd guess 200 - 250 as well. Kishi can theoretically wrap up each of those questions in 25 chapter arcs and probably combine a few answers in some of those arcs. I don't expect him to do both, but I think that a mix of them with a bit of extra stalling on his part could conclude the story in a bit over 200 more chapters.

That'd give fanfiction writers another 4 years worth of work in the world before the conclusion although the ending wouldn't spell the ending of fanfics, but just decrease interest.

I agree, 200-250 chapter sounds good. as long as he doesn't rush the series or make anymore nonsense, it should be more than enough for it.

I also think it will take alot of time for kishimoto to end this manga, the fight with pain will take alot of time, then there is a fight with madar uchiha, sasuke also will ave his share of chapters, & I really don't wnat to end or I will cry alot (I really like this manga, I've been reding since like forever)

I voted 200-250, as there wasn't a 150-200 option, as I believe it will be over in about 200 chapters. If you had asked me few months ago I'd have said five plus years but you do get the impression that Kishi is pushing to finish this series sooner rather than later, you just have to see what's happened this past 11 weeks and how much has happened and been revealed to get the feeling the story is nearing it's final third.

I seriously hope he doesn't do a next generation Naruto story for this personally, unless he does it a hundred year plus affer current events, make it like the main charactor is the great great grandchild of Naruto and has the power of the kyuubi in him or something that would be cool.

The last battle of part 1 was basicly Naruto vs Suske.

Do you think that will be the last battle of part 2 too?

If i had been joking i'd have put over 9000 instead of 300, but judging by how it takes about three chapters to walk down the street because of all the dialouge involved, i probably should have chosen the 9000 one...

I'd say around 300, give or take a couple. It seems like the Pain arc will take a bit longer to finish -- Konan has to go as well, and Naruto is nearly out of energy so it's certainly not going to finish in THIS particular meeting.

Was it just me or what happened to all the unkept ends? Like the other members of Akatsuki (Zetsu, I think is the green man-eating one... and the other ones who never died?) And whatever happened to 9 Akatsuki -- if pain himself is like 7 of them...

Whatever happened to Kabuto, who now has Orochimaru inside of him. (That being said, no one really cares about Kabuto.)

We need to finish up with Sasuke here and his whole troup -- that other fangirl and the waterdemon dude. He now wants to destroy Konoha, so that's something Naruto will personally have to deal with.

And a couple chapters inbetween to squeeze in some fluff maybe.

And lastly there is this mess with the Uchiha Madara, who has hardly even been introduced.

Seems like we're not even half way there! O.O

I figure about at least 250. But then again I think he will keep going until he's bored with it like the guy from One Piece who said that had plan to end after 10 years but kept going cause it was still fun for him. So let's hope he keeps having fun with the story.

Thinking about it, it might be over soon. But, if thinking about it again, it might not be over soon.

But in my heart, I kinda wish that it would not be over soon, because if it does, this WEBSITE might say its farewell.

Most people can still join, but, some people may lose interest, and that's killing off the fun.

Maybe 150-300 chapters will do the trick, but I know that some people would be sad to see this end, especially that this is one of our favorite mangas to read, probably the longest too.

i voted for 300 more chapters cause i don't think kishi can write it forever. lol. but i agree with peanutbutter126. i do hope naruto has a part 3 after shippuuden ends.

and naruto has LOTS of fans so i think it'll still stay for quite a long time

Haha! Yeah, I also read somewhere, (If only I can remember: Awww...Memory Gap! ), that Kishimoto-san plans to write Naruto as long as he can.

Also, I am hoping for the Part 3, especially the part where Naruto become the Hokage, and with the NaruSaku goodies.

really?! i hope that's true! and even though naruto doesn't become a hokage right away... i hope he's already a chuunin or a jounin in part 3. (if there would be a part three)

I've changed my mind after reading the last two Manga episodes, I'm now thinking it will be over within a hundred chapters.
