To be honest, they didn't really know what Tsudere were at the time, and just thought chichi was a kitten (most people in the states didn't start out watching Dragonball.) Also Bulma is a Tsudere as well.

I wouldn't call her a bad wife, since she is loving and supportive.......... at times, but Even I could say she was completely obnoxious and priority skewered at the beginning of Z especially

I wouldn't even call Goku a bad husband per say. Unlike Sasuke and Naruto, Goku is just a dumbass. He loves his wife and children, but his obsession with fighting shadows it. Unlike Naruto and Sasuke though, I've never felt like Goku is intentionally neglecting his family.

 

Chichi is not a bad wife, she's just kittening annoying.

And she can be well single-minded as well, I mean she did try to get Pan to be all lady like and not a brute fighter, despite that it was not her call to make it was Gohan and Videl's call, trust me the fans went nuts at Chi-chi when she tried that.

In her defense at the beginning of Z, Goku was killed by his arch enemy at the time and her little son was kidnapped to be molded into a fighter against an incoming alien invasion of her husband's race. She doesn't see either one for a year and both are nearly killed in the invasion. And then immediately after, her son wants to go to an alien planet. I think she has every right, at least from Saiyan to beginning of Namek to be the way she is.

Then you have consider that the basis of her overprotective attitude in regards to the prospect of Gohan becoming a fighter likely stems from witnessing Goku and Piccolo's battle in the last Budokai Tenkaichi, which nearly led to Goku's death and is still regarded as the most brutal fight that he's been in to date(in terms of violence). Besides, following the Cell Games, she's shown to be much more laidback about her family training.  She even personally trained Goten herself. She was also reasonable during the Buu Saga when it seemed like Goten and Trunks would be the only ones to battle Majin Buu and reluctantly accepted their roles without much of a fuss. And in Super, she actively encouraged Gohan and Goku to train together at one point(at least until they destroyed the field), went to the Tournament of Destroyers to support Goku and didn't have any qualms about Goku and Gohan leaving to participate in the Tournament of Power. Save a couple of instances, she's progressively lightened over the years and it seems that she's more or less accepted that her family will always be defenders of Earth.

I've said this before, but in Super, we clearly see that when the Earth isn't imminent danger and he isn't training or working, Goku spends a good amount of his on-screen time with his family. So yeah, I wouldn't compare Goku to Naruto and Sasuke because while he is still clueless about some things in regards to being a parent and husband, it's never a question that he loves them and enjoys being with them.

Yeah guys, even though he doesn't even know how to kiss Chi-Chi (don't know why the Japanese thought that was a joke), Goku is there for his family. Hell, when he found out when Zamasu and Goku Black killed Chi-Chi and Goten in another timeline during the "Future" Trunks saga, Goku was beyond pissed off!
