What I can't
stand about Disney today, are all the unnecessary
flops sequels to all the classic animated movies they started creating. I mean come on now, Cinderella 3 - Cinderella goes back in
time Or the Little Mermaid 2 and 3. Or The Lion King 1 and A HALF DX
And all the other ridiculous sequels that they created, that just makes a mockery of the original movies that Walt created.
The poor man must be turning in his grave Actually, most sequels weren't worthless and they were called "Direct-to-Video" sequel in the first place. Let's start with
Aladdin, which had the first movie sequel of the Disney classics. It became so much of a hit, many people wanted more for it to continue, so you can see why Aladdin and Jasmine weren't married yet until
The King of Thieves. The Lion King had sequels because after it became a smash hit, Disney began eleborating the series like crazy (trust me, go find those 6 New Adventure Books) before 2 was in production (and it was following a "Shakespearen" formula). Then we had some that needed to be more eleborated like Pocahontas (since some of us know the story, people wanted to see how she came to England in a child's mind).
Now... others like Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella, Fox and the Hound, Bambi... those weren't need to be continued. And that came toward this
reason why they are stopping making sequels.
