Now that Naruto is over, I am looking for something new to add to my viewing/reading.  I am looking for a a shonen/seinen manga/anime that is preferably mecha-based.  It doesn't have to be, but it is my preference.  I prefer minimal romance, or if there is a romantic subplot, it is well developed with no love triangle.

I am currently reading/watching Fairy Tale, Bleach and have followed hunterxhunter somewhat.  I will give most things a chance.  I tried One Piece many times over the years, and I just could not get into it.  Is there anything current or new I should check out?

Attack on Titan if you haven't watched it already. Would recommend Death Note, but it sounds like you want action and DN's more on the psychological/thriller side. I'll probably post some more recs later.

Also yeah Code Geass has action as well as mechas so you might really want to check that out before anything haha.

I absolutely loved Code Geass.  I will probably watch it again.

I watched Death Note as well and thought it was good.  Not exactly my thing, but it was different than the other stuff airing at the time.  I also enjoyed Ghost in the Shell. Two that I enjoyed even though I am not into vampires are Blood + and Trinity Blood.

I just started watching Attack on Titan.  I like it so far.  It is a tad strange, but I like it nonetheless.  If anyone hasn't checked it out yet, check out Majestic Prince.  I got into it last year, and I think it is pretty good.  I hope another season of the anime will air soon.

I can think of several but right now I have few time.

To start with, I recommend Bubblegum Crisis. It has mecha, much action and drama. And the OST is heavenly.

Hmm... since you like Gundam, there are several Tomino shows that you can like: Zambot-3, for example. It is a deconstructin, though, so it is dark. Shin Mazinger Zero also is a good manga if you want to get into the Mazinger universe but you are reluctant to check the anime.

If you like fighting anime you may like Fist of the Northstar. It has much drama and little romance.

Or Rurouni Kenshin. the main couple is obvious since the first chapter, and the love triangle is minimal.

Tekkaman Blade is a very good mecha anime, too.

Lone Wolf and Cub is not mecha, but it is great. It is set in feudal Japan, and it is a seinen.

I will recommend more manga or anime when I have moe time. However you can check the Classic Manga and Anime thread, too.

Bubblegum Crisis I remember rather fondly.  I will probably watch it again.  Heh actually that was on my "to do" list for awhile.  Tekkaman Blade is indeed a good one.  It was right before I graduated highschool when that aired.  Not the best of them out there, but still very good nonetheless.

Mazinger was one of the first I had ever watched.  It was tranzor Z when it had aired.  I think I was 7 or 8 years old at the time I watched it.  I see that there is a whole universe for it, and I think I will put that on my "to do" list as well.  I always wanted to follow that one further than I was able to.  I will check out Zambot-3 as well.

I had heard some good things about Lone Wolf and Cub.  Being that it is a Seinen, I will definitely be checking this one out.  Someone in another thread suggested brave 10.  I might look into that one.  It sounds like it may be too Naruto-like though.,

These suggestions are good, sometimes it is good to revisit the classics and older animes too.  Some I had long forgotten about and have fond memories of.

So, I started reading One Piece..

Is it worth it to ship NaLu or is it as unpredictable as naruto in terms of relationships?

I need advice. i'm 0 - 2 in pairing wars and i dont think i can stand another loss T_T

EDIT: I do like the story, and will read it to the end  (i think) , i just want a word of caution or a warning

EDIT2 : i do recommend Sword Art Online, or my favorite Griasia No Kajitsu , either the Visual Novel (M rated) or the Anime (T - Rated)

You can watch Tokyo Majin and Tokyo Majin 2nd Act. Gory( like really gory), demonic( as in fighting demons), loads of action and a smidge of romance.

Its video games, I definetely recommend "Zone of the enders the second runner" or ZOE2 by Kojima production (the Creator of metal gear. One of the best mecha game ever with an epic story and one of my favourite pariring. I recommend to Watch a playthrough of "derfsonicgaming" on youtube.

@nikki There are other ships among the other main characters but you won't be mad cause every pairing will have enough moments to make them believable (unlike Naruhina). I am personnallly not mad if Luffy Nami doesn't come true.

"Slam Dunk" IS A MUST READ. Its exponentially better than Naruto in every way and even better than One Piece. Its the perfect manga to heal up from this cop out ending. Its fun and the author knows what he wants and never sold out until the very end.

It leave open ending. It's a shame because the author could finish it.
