Just finished a new, old map of Naruto's world to go along the "A Voice in the Wind." It comes up in this chapter, and I really needed to get my head around the positioning of everything. So I took a break from writing and worked up a map. Let me know what you think!

Nicely done. I'd actually like to see a map like that with all countries locations that were revealed in part 2 (so far) shown too.
I do wonder why Kishimoto hasn't had someone point out the Land of Waves is either very close to or is the lost Whirlpool Country ( it sure does look to be the same place on the Naruto world map.) One wonders why Tazuna didn't react to Naruto's last name though, even if Whirlpool was just close by the Uzumaki clan was quite well known.

Very beautiful! And it looks like an authentic piece if you place it in a real-life scenario.
What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

thanks! It was a case of "I think I'd like to tweak the map a little bit...." gone to extremes! In the end, it became a challenge to see how realistic I could make it.
@ ciardha: I thought about making it the full map, but I wasn't 100 percent certain if any full map was an official one. I kept finding larger and larger areas, and I was only interested in canon manga. So, in the end, I stuck with the areas that were right around the Fire country since that's what the story deals with specifically.
Yeah, drawing this, mind wandering, I kind of wondered if the Great Naruto Bridge would be touched on again in the end. (It was too small to include in this map, it looked like a mistake. Besides, as it corresponds to the story, the Naruto bridge didn't happen. It's there, but not named after him.)
@derock: ty! that's exactly what I was going for! Something realistic, not all garish solid colors like the rest of the maps I'd found.
****Forgot to add, there's a small preview at swirlingpetals.com about the scene with the map in it!
