I was with my family (my mom and my youngest sister) and we went to the beach. In Connecticut. It was pretty cool looking at the moraines from the glaciers and then walking along the trails by the salt marsh.
Then we went out to eat Indian food. And we capped it off watching disaster porn (2012). It's not the movie my mom would've chosen, but my sister and I are both suckers for disaster movies. Based on trailers, this one was a bit over-the-top, even for me, but I haven't gone out to many movies recently so I was easy to persuade.
Then I spent about two hours explaining Netflix to my mom. ( I seem to recall that being used as a joke in a sitcom about how chatty somebody was, but trust me, it's not because I was long-winded.)
It was a pretty good day.
